Well placed hotel with comfortable, well sized room. Too noisy on the Saturday night in rooms around ours but that’s not the fault of the hotel. Lovely roof top bar with amazing view of Empire State Building.

The rooms were clean. Average size. There were very few amenities. No lobby bar. The roof top bar was small, closed early and the drinks were not good at all. The service was also lackluster. The view however was great. Walking distance to all your midtown attractions. Very close to Grand Central Station and Bryant Park which was great for grabbing coffee or quick meals. We travel to New York often and I’m not sure we will ever stay here again. The hotel just didn’t meet the price tag.

the morning we checked out we were shaking out the blankets to make sure none of our belongings were left behind and when the blanket was exposed to light we saw mold lodged in the blanket. now we are home and i am EXTREMELY SICK

Took a $800 deposit off us for 2 prepaid rooms at the start of our trip and have been home a month and still haven’t got a refund (we had no room charges!). Shower gel etc was never replaced during our 4 night stay even after contacting reception twice to request it.

The room wasn’t ready till 6:30pm when should be check on at 4pm, the next day the room wasn’t clean , and the following day wasn’t clean either till we have to ask them to clean it and that happened till night time

The hotel is in a fantastic location. Walkable to Grand Central, Times Square, 5th Avenue - even down to Central Park if you like walking. Bryant Park which is just down the road is lovely and lots of nice places to eat and drink,. we had a family room (2 double beds) - not huge but manageable. nice bathroom with a lovely big shower. Coffee machine and fridge which was nice. Staff were excellent - very friendly and efficient. didn't eat in the restaurant but did have drinks on the roof terrace which was lovely. my only criticism is around the cleaning of the rooms. the cleaning staff don't start until the afternoon and were coming to clean our room at 5pm which was when we had just come in or were getting ready for dinner. this therefore meant that our room wasn't cleaned and we didn't get fresh towels, bins emptied etc. Its not a first world problem and we managed but it wasn't ideal. we did however speak to the Duty Manager who kindly arranged on one day for them to come in the morning whilst we were out. Just bear this in mind if you book as for some, a 5pm room make up doesn't work.

Overall everything was great. It feels more like a boutique hotel than a Hyatt which was nice. Staff were so nice and helpful. Had an issue with the heat but they took care of it quickly. Room was new and super clean. Would definitely stay here again.

We left our room on sunday at 9am and returned at 5:30pm. The room had not been cleaned and there were no fresh towels. Very disapointed. We asked the front desk to have it cleaned while we were out for dinner and they said they had no staff to clean the room. For the price of this Hotel clean rooms are an expectation.

The Hyatt Centric Midtown was located in a good location for activities close to Time Square. The room was very small, as well as the bathroom. I get the fact that New York real estate is expensive, but our room was really small with a king bed. The lighting in the rooms was also not so great. Could use an upgrade on the light fixtures!

Wonderful property! Extremely spacious for NYC. The lady who checked me in knew I was in a rush and checked me in very efficiently. Janette checked me out and was also wonderful. I’d definitely stay here again!

Pleasant stay. My only complaint is that a car was reserved for me early one morning by the front desk. I was not made aware of the price- it was $50.00 for a 3 minute drive. Had I known, I would have taken Uber. Next time I come I'd prefer a room with a view rather than interior view of brick walls. Otherwise wonderful stay.

The hotel is extremely convenient in Midtown Manhattan and the restaurant is excellent. The downside is that our room was the most claustrophobic, dark and dreary room I can imagine. The deep, St. Patrick’s Day green on all the walls was terrible along with minimal lighting. To make matters worse, the spacious windows had a perfect courtyard view of the hotel’s heating pipes and machinery and because we were on the 4th floor of 21 floors we barely saw the sky. We got a package deal that was very reasonable so I didn’t expect much but I will never stay in a room with that view and ambience. For God’s sake, paint the room a lighter color and add lights!

The hotel made us wait over an hour while they inspected the room. When we finally got in, the air conditioning wasn’t working. The engineer worked on the air conditioning but couldn’t fix it. The room was over 80 degrees. It took several calls to reception to get them to refund our money and by that time the only other room in the city was double the rate.

Excellent stay. Our first night we had to move rooms because our AC was not working but Shanelle and Gregory helped us out and reimbursed us for the night. Great rooms, great showers, great beds. We will definitely be back.

We stayed for 2 nights and everything was great until a worker walked into our room without even knocking. When we said something downstairs it was just brushed off. The rest of the stay was a bit uncomfortable wondering if this would happen again.

I arrived super early, so my room was understandably not read. Shanelle at the front desk was so kind, informative and professional. I received a text when my room was ready, which was very helpful since I was out & about. I typically stay at Hyatts when I go away and have never had a bad experience. My room was clean, quiet and comfortable. I’ll be back soon!

It started a bit rocky with the room not being ready at check in time but Alice at the front desk went above and beyond to get us in the room and make us comfortable while we waited. Once we did get into the room and settled, Alice checked in on us to see if we needed anything further At one point during the stay we needed extra towels, sent a message to the front desk and within 5 minutes towels were delivered Room and the hotel were clean, the room was a bit small but im sure is comparable to rooms in the category We appreciated the two queen beds that were comfortable All the ladies at the front desk were very friendly and helpful with suggestions and directions.

The property itself is nice and in a great location. On my last night at 3:30 in the morning my door was opened. Fortunately I had the cross bar on and they were unable to enter my room. I was terrified! When I called the front desk the attendant answered and immediately apologized - one of the guest did not have their key and gave them my room number in error. They did not even check their system to confirm before trying to let this person into my room! When I spoke to the General Manger the following morning to express my serious concerns he said he would look into it and call me the following day. To date no one has called me back. That person could have been a rapist, stalker or an abusive ex. If I hadn't had the cross bar in place I could have been in a very dangerous situation.

I had a lovely stay at this Hyatt Location, very beautiful and quiet hotel. It was located in a convenient area with easy access to transportation and plenty of sight seeing locations. The staff was also very friendly, we will definitely book another stay here.

Great location. Not far from Times Square and Grand Central Station. Great dining options nearby and easy access to the subways. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms are a bit small, but that is to be expected in Midtown. Road noise was a bit of an issue, if that is important ask for a higher floor. However we found we got used to the noise pretty quickly. Would certainly stay here again.

Unbelievably inexpensive for the quality of the stay. Great beds. Amazing shower. We were able to walk to the Empire State Building, the Highline, Times Square and so many more places. The breakfast at the hotel is also fantastic!
