The in room and hotel facilities are very good great breakfast and very friendly staff. If returning to Liverpool we would consider a return to this hotel which is in a great location. We were disappointed that we were not informed that construction repairs were going on as the hotel was shrouded with scaffolding and tarpaulin it made the room dark during the day and it was not feasible to open the window for fresh air due to the construction noise which started at 9am each morning and continued with the constant hum of drilling etc. The works were never mentioned during our stay. Having book 2 rooms for 3 nights I thought this was poor and emailed the hotel to tell them so upon our return home. I received a reply to say sorry, which I have to say was again poor.

A great base in Liverpool, superb location. Subsidised parking is also a bonus. The hotel staff are really friendly and efficient. The rooms are very comfortable and it’s also a good place to work from. I’ve stayed at this hotel over the last seven years and it’s a go to location. I’ve seen a change in the quality of the breakfast which used to be superb and are now average. The hotel gym is OK. It’s still recommended.

Wonderful 3 night stay from start to finish. Reception staff were all lovely and very informative. Room was spacious, clean and very well equipped. Hotel was in a quiet area but in easy walking distance of all main Liverpool attractions. The reduced parking rate at nearby NCP car park was a real bonus!

We were disappointed that our room had dirty windows, spills and stains on the baseboards of the bed and torn curtains. The hair dryer in the room didn’t work. We were tired on our arrival and did not bother to ask to change rooms, but when I informed the receptionist in the morning that the room needed a deep clean, she thanked me but did not apologize. This was disappointing. We woke at 5am to the noise of window cleaners. On a positive note, The restaurant was lovely.

Unfortunately the cleanliness wasn’t the best, there was someone’s old food in the room refrigerator and so that put me in doubt about the cleanliness of the whole room. The body wash needed to be refilled in the shower and the desk’s enamel was coming off and very unsightly.

Staff really freindly and helpful, our room was rather in the need of a re-vamp. The flooring around the bed was chipped and lifting, the vaux leather on the bed base was peeling off, mattress and pillows were VERY soft and needed replacing, under the wardrobe had not been cleaned in a while, thick with dust

Nice hotel. Unfortunately the bed sheets were tucked in the mattress, when I pulled it out the sheet was full of dry blood! More of an oversight but these things should not happen. Staff member did apologise.

For 2 nights and £460 you get: - a small room that we had to move from because it was filthy and the walls were scuffed inside lower floor like a prison cell (to be fair we were moved to a better room) - one pair of slippers not two - your coffee cups not washed up in the morning. - noisy air con - a shower with a monsoon head and one of those hand helds where the hand held just didn’t work - shabby corridors - a bathroom door that you had to slam shut - no wine glasses at the bar so you have to drink from tumblers - cocktail service stopped by the bloke who appeared to be the ‘manager’ - Reception staff that appear to have sucked a lemon Overall don’t stop here, it’s a Travelodge pretending to be far better…..I was sucked in. Don’t be the next! Absolutely rubbish, possibly the worst hotel (other than the Travelodge at Blackpool) that I’ve ever stopped in!

Arrived around 10 PM, quick check in by very helpful receptionist. first impressions very good.Got to room tired and went stright to bed. Checked room in morning and it looked very tired, the bed base was covered in vinyl leather which was peeling off, cracked and poorly repaired tiles in bathroom and entrance and worn through laminate flooring. Apart from this room was comfortable and clean. Couldn`t open the window either as the handle was missing. To sum up except for the worn room we had a great stay. The staff were all excellent and a credit to the hotel, breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Bar area was small but only used it once as very expensive Estrella beer was £7.10 a pint even though it was advertised at £6.45 in room.

Lovely big room , very clean with a large comfy bed. My only downside was the lighting in the rooms is very gloomy, not great for putting make up on! Bathroom lighting was bright but nowhere to put anything! Location of hotel is great, very central, short walk to Albert Dock.

Hotel was great as long as you don’t have certain rooms on the sixth floor. The generators on the roof make a loud humming noise. Reception moved us without fuss and other room was great. Think guests should be pre warned about noise though.

Good location. But not a 4 star hotel. Reception, lobby, lounge quite nice and the Marco Pierre White restaurant is a nice touch. But rooms and general facilities are pretty basic with simple furniture, coffee sachets etc. pretty much what you’d expect from a travelodge or holiday inn (part of IHG) for a much better rate. Rooms have poor sound proofing and I could hear word for word the TV next door.

No bath in the bathroom. No biscuits for the tea/coffee. Windows in the room can’t be opened Breakfast was poor/ only one Easton of bacon, one small sausage and one egg. Good position though close to all the restaurants and the docks. Nice arrangements for parking close by.

Hotel is in a good location, but the service was lacking. Check-in opened at 3pm and we arrived at 3:30pm to be told no rooms were ready and it would be about 10mins. 20mins later we were told the same thing, in the meantime plenty of other guests checked in and got there keys. At 4:20pm we eventually got the keycard without any apology. The room was comfortable but very warm, the air-con didn’t seem to be working that well. We didn’t bother with breakfast even though it was included in our rate so cannot comment on that. We had the same member of staff checking us out as had checked us in and felt the customer service was somewhat lacking.

Probably one of the worst welcomes I’ve ever had checking in to a hotel. Receptionist was cold and appeared like she didn’t want to be there, also Ive not normally seen receptionists wearing jeans but hey maybe just getting old. The room was really nice and clean, good decor and very comfortable bed. Breakfast was fine if you have a small appetite but there were other items available. In contrast the check out was excellent, really friendly and smartly dressed gent who couldn’t have been more helpful.

Check in staff disinterested , not friendly and did not explain about facilities. Housekeeping hit and miss. Breakfast mediocre , not up to standard of other Indigo hotels. Vegetarian breakfast arrived with real bacon and meat sausage! Felt like a low brand hotel with an Indigo badge stuck on at Indigo prices. We’ve stayed in many different Indigo hotels and this was very poor.
Check in staff disinterested , not friendly and did not explain about facilities. Housekeeping hit and miss. Breakfast mediocre , not up to standard of other Indigo hotels. Vegetarian breakfast arrived with real bacon and meat sausage! Felt like a low brand hotel with an Indigo badge stuck on at Indigo prices. We’ve stayed in many different Indigo hotels and this was very poor.

Excellent check-in. Person at the front desk, (I think his name was Brad) was friendly, helpful, and professional. He took care of all our needs. The room was clean, well stocked and bathrooms pristine. Totally loved the vibe and will definitely recommend to friends.

Hotel is lovely, the lady on reception really friendly and it’s well positioned. Decided we would go back to the hotel for a bottle of wine. 2 guys on the bar, one who said he would be with us in a minute and the other that just ignored us. Eventually the ignoring one was told to come and serve us so we asked for a wine list and ordered a bottle, came back and said we haven’t got that MATE! He then walked off and carried on listening to his earbuds…we left! Next morning really busy for brekkie and the previous morning it had been fantastic, 2nd morning very overcooked. All in all we would go back….

Our first time visiting Liverpool and it was amazing. The hotel staff was friendly and always greeted us with a smile. Eleanor at the front desk went the extra mile and found us a different room with a more comfortable bed. We really appreciated this. The location was very convenient so we were able to walk everywhere. We finally stayed in one night and ate dinner at the hotel restaurant and afterwards we wished we would have done it more because the food was great!!!! When we get a chance to return to Liverpool we will definitely be staying at this hotel again.

Property is modern with very effective air conditioning. Beds are comfortable and room clean. Breakfast excellent. Downsides were being told at check-in that we had to pay extra for breakfast as I hadn’t included it in the booking when I did, then telling me they hadn’t taken a swipe of my card when they did, before blaming the confusion on me booking during the Microsoft outage (I had booked days before this)! Also, having to ask a total of three times for an extra pillow and a refill of the hand and body lotion in the bathroom. There seemed to be disconnect between reception staff and housekeeping. The discussion about extra charges necessitated providing proof and involving Expedia (who were brilliant). Unfortunately, this combined with a slow response to simple requests put a damper on the holiday. We considered seeking another hotel at one point as we felt uncomfortable and annoyed about it. For those reasons I wouldn’t stay here again.

First visit to Liverpool for nearly 40 years, so was long overdue. Perfect location close to the docks and only a short walk from all the main attractions. It won't be 40 years before our next visit and this hotel will be the perfect choice next time.

Booked this hotel based on the reviews and also the location. The hotel was in a great location for walking and seeing the sights. The waterfront was a stones throw away - just a few mins down Chapel Street, cross the road and the Liver building was there. Another short walk straight across took me to the area around Castle Street with lots of choice of restaurants. A particularly good Brazilian Rodizio - Fazenda - was literally a minute away across the road from the hotel. The Cavern Quarter was another easy short walk away. The only time I took an Uber was to get to Anfield and back. The room was very clean with a comfortable bed and a nice powerful shower with plenty of hot water. Air con excellent too. Reception staff were warm and welcoming and the Marco Pierre White Restaurant very good. The breakfast was good but mostly I visited the Greggs a few minutes round the corner for a bacon baguette. An excellent and convenient place to stay for a visit to Liverpool!

Staff were friendly, room was great and comfortable. Public areas are kept clean and tidy and are really areas to sit and have a drink. What lets this hotel down is the quality of the food - quite substandard. Had a steak in the restaurant which was quite poor quality. Breakfast the next morning was plated but everything was either undercooked or overcooked. The pastries were hard so didn’t seem at all fresh. It’s a good hotel and great rooms in an ideal location.

nice modern comfortable hotel with good size rooms ,fridge,safe,iron etc even sky sports on the tv ! staff were really pleasant,car park 2 mins walk with a discounted price. breakfast was good but could do with being hotter although porridge was spot on. marco pierre white restaurant was a disaster for us im afraid,we sent two meals back undercooked,i gather their normal chefs had quit a couple of weeks before....wish we had known

This is our 3rd time staying at Hotel Indigo in Liverpool and always a lovely room, and staff friendly when checking in and out. Breakfast was a disappointment; 1st time we stayed was a 30 minute wait to be seated, 2nd time all went ok but this 3rd time, won’t do again! Chose to have breakfast at 10am, lots of products not available, (service until 11am) or poorly stocked, i.e. yoghurt pots, fruit, sliced bread. Ordered our hot food and told there was a 15 minute wait; we actually waited 35 mins, for 1 full breakfast and 1 vegetarian breakfast, of which the avocado was so underripe it wasn’t inedible! Defo not recommend staying for breakfast, for the additional price charged!! Excellent location to explore Liverpool especially the docks. Would stay again but not add breakfast, plenty of options outside the hotel at half the price!

Great location for this city and staff all very efficient and helpful Rooms are spacious though the doors are not very well soundproofed so lots of noise from the corridor Very comfortable beds Only downside is the breakfast - not worth any money, coffee was undrinkable, choice is very limited and quality patchy. Much better and cheaper places to go just a short walk from the hotel

Overall good service, clean room and good food. 2 Excellent evening meals with great service, reception and hotel staff gave a warm welcome. Only issue last day breakfast service was disorganised with a 45 min wait for a cooked breakfast with 3 prompts to the staff serving.

The hotel is an a great location, public areas and rooms were immaculate and every staff member polite and helpful. The only problem was that there was only one lift working so there were extended waits and visits to multiple floors.
