Property is a little dated, but otherwise okay. Only minor problems were with the elevator door which moved like a 90 year old man, when opening & closing and with everything electrical in the room being unplugged on arrival (clock alarm, TV, wall mounted hair dryer).

Staff there are great. Friendly, helpful. Room was ok. Side doors were not locked ay any time, night or day. Uncomfortable with that. Carpet in hallway in very bad shape. Coffee in room and at breakfast was pretty bad.

PROS: 1) The employees were very helpful and friendly. 2) The beds were clean. CONS: 1) The bathroom floor looked like it had not been cleaned in some time. 2) The walls are very thin - we could easily hear the people in the rooms next to us. They weren't being extremely loud, but it was still easy to hear them late into the night. 3) There was NO hot water. I was able to take a lukewarm shower, but it never became hot. Same goes for the bathroom sink water - never hot. 4) The breakfast was lacking. My kids ended up eating pop-tarts as their best option. The coffee tasted very watered down. 5) The elevator worked but sounded like it didn't want to. This is just a Super 8 that is past its prime. It is old and it shows. The employees, however, were great.

The room didn't have a blackout blind, just a transparent one. Hadn't been vacuumed, duvet cover had a stain, parking was limited due to construction vehicles taking up multiple spots even though they were fully booked due to a concert. Served the purpose but nothing special. 🙂

Room was nice. Parking lot was coned off and lines were not painted well in the back. Also back door didn't need a key card to enter the buildine. Reader was there but wasnt needed for entry.

Just "old" looking... fresh up . Plants? The "oder" of chemical cleaner quite strong in lobby, hall carpet. We were able to open room window for fresher air.

The room was gross it appeared someone had tried to bust into the window, the screen was all bent and there was dust all in the vents of the AC. There was a kibble of dog food on the floor of the bathroom (that was locked but we opened with a pen cap) and there was a chunk of human hair on the wall and cigarette burns all over the tub. It was a busy weekend and the town was sold out of rooms for a concert going on so it wasn’t like we could complain but I will try very hard to never go back.

When entering the room the lights flickered and the lamps were unplugged. Once the lamps were on I found that the comforter had what looked like dry milk spilled all over it. There was mold on the window and the window sounded like it was open all night even with the blinds pulled shut. The pillows had stains on them and the soft blanket that was in between the comforter and sheets had long black hairs embedded in it.

The room was not cleaned properly. There was ketchup or blood on the curtains, boogers on the wall, soap on the tub walls that had not been cleaned off. The shower curtain rod was starting to fall off of the wall. There were water and/or mold stains on the ceiling. There was a bug found in the bed. The fire suppressant system was covered in dust and had not been cleaned for a period of time. The room looked like it had not been vacuumed very well or at all.

The night clerk was very nice and helpful. The bed in room 219 leaves much to be desired. It slooped downward and toward the middle. The sink had a large crack in it. You should also provide rubber bath mats for handicapped guests. The clerk did provide us with additional towels to use as mats.

It was significantly cheaper than nearby options and it’s very close to CMU. (There is a very busy road to cross if planning to head to CMU) Initial look, everything is clean and decently kept. They are trying, there are some obvious renovations and apparent areas where walls have been patches, etc. A/C heater thing is pretty old and for the first night kept clicking on and off loudly scaring me awake. The next night it didn’t seem to have a problem. Bathtub and sink do not have working stoppers. ( we were trying to unfreeze capri suns that had frozen in the mini fridge) Tv is tiny 32”, breakfast area is kept hot like a sauna and on the weekday there were no warm foods available. On the weekend there was biscuits and gravy and sausages. Other options included fruit, toast, oatmeal, coffee cake ( which was pretty tasty), and some breakfast bars. Parking lot noise was kind of loud but it settled down as the night wore on. Overall I would consider staying again if it was a significant cost savings, however it wouldn’t be my top pick.

We’ve stayed here several times. Always clean and comfy. We usually get 2 double beds. This time only a king was an available. As soon as you look at the bed you should see the “dips” on each side. So uncomfortable was not a good night sleep. Needs a new mattress !! You can tell by the furniture THAT room was not updated in quite some time. But it will not keep me from staying there again. Just Zno King size bed

Pros: check-in was fast and friendly. Location across from CMU stadium convenient. Bed was comfortable and shower had food pressure. Cons: No hair dryer - removed from wall? - and they had zero to borrow. Breakfast was very minimal in small room with coffee from machine. TV remote didn't work, but got a new one. Explanation was they just installed new TVs (why so small then?) and didn't switch out remote. Very basic room with outdated furnishings.

It was great other than the blinds had been open and the hot sun was able to beat in all day long which made the room stupid hot and sticky. The AC didn’t work so yeah it was stupid hot and sticky in the room all night.

The hotel is old & very outdated. Overpriced for the look of the room, lobby, & hallways. Height of toilet was very low. Outside of building & landscaping is average to poor. There was an Indian food smell throughout. Pillows & towels were nice. Other hotels in area were already booked.

The hotel was very busy with a concert and CMU parent weekend. There was dirty underwear in the stairwell and one of our rooms was given to another desk. Literally, our reservation sheet with my name and someone else’s car information. We did get a replacement room but it took awhile. It was fine for a Super 8 but not for the price gouging prices that occur during these busy events.

From the initial help I got from the very sweet Jeremy with my reservation update. It made my travels so much easier because I knew when I got there the service was going to be great. Checking in was a breeze. All my questions were answered again great service. When calling the front desk for extra towels for our room, Skyler was very accommodating and made sure that we had everything we asked for. The hotel is clean. The beds are comfortable. The prices are reasonable and it’s right in the center of everything in Mount Pleasant. We were in town for a basketball tournament and couldn’t have been happier with our stay. Thanks to the staff at the super eight in Mount Pleasant for taking care of us so well!!! Will definitely be back anytime we’re in Mount Pleasant.

Love this location! We stay here when we go to concerts at Soaring Eagle Casino. The location is perfect! Easy to get to, located near lots of restaurants and shopping, and you can travel the backroads to the casino. Always clean and nice employees. Our room was really nice and seemed to be recently renovated. Price is great - will continue to stay here anytime we’re in Mt Pleasant!

Customer service was ok at best as i phoned down to get a number for transportation and was told i needed to come down and get it myself. Didnt quite understand why they couldnt have just given me the number. Breakfast was sub par at best. Expected more as the previous visit about a year ago was way better.

The staff was wonderful. Very friendly and neat in appearance. This is our fourth or fifth stay. Delicious breakfast today, Jan. 1, 24. Sausage links, biscuits, and gravy among the normal continental breakfast items. It is DEFINITELY our go to motel when we travel to Mt Pleasant!

We have stayed at the Mount Pleasant Super 8 many times over the pas 4 years while our daughter goes to school there. It has improved quite a bit. Check in went smoothly, the room was clean, and the staff was friendly. The only negative is the breakfast is limited but they now have a waffle maker which is popular.

The room we had was huge. Conveniently located to dinning and shopping, you could walk to whatever you needed. The only thing we didn't care for was the breakfast that was included with the stay. You only had oatmeal, cold cereal, and muffins.
