JUFA Hotel Salzburg

Play room is a life saver!

Hotel is in a great location - 10 minutes walk to the city centre. On-site parking. Room was comfortable and well-equipped. We had a mountain view across fields. Breakfast was plentiful. We tried the restaurant one evening but the range of food options was limited so we ate out the second night. We would stay here again.

We liked this Jufa for so many reasons. The desk staff were kind and helpful. The hotel was spotless, quiet, equipped with A/C, comfortable bed and linens, and a bar for snacks, drinks, and coffee 24 hours. There was a lovely outdoor seating area as well. Kids areas looked well equipped for families with little ones. We enjoyed the hotel breakfast most mornings because it was extensive and delicious. The old town is walking distance and the bus stop just a short walk away. Public transportation in and around Salzburg is easy to use. We had a wonderful time and would absolutely stay at this Jufa again!!!

Great value hotel. Clean, all the facilities you need. Amazing views of the castle from the hotel and bedroom Windows. Super family friendly with an amazing two story play room with glass window from bar for parents to watch whilst enjoying a drink. Highly recommend for your next city break to Salzburg with kids

Family friendly property close to sporting complex, walking distance to historic attractions. Parking limited. Would recommend.

I added a second night to our stay and confirmed via chat that we could stay in the same room for both nights, with a bunk bed for our two boys. However we were put in two separate rooms and had to clear all our stuff out for our family of 5 by 8 am to make a tour we had booked at 9 am. When I tried to return the keys to the desk there was an incredibly long line and after waiting for fifteen minutes I just set them on the desk and said I just need to drop the keys without checking out because we're staying another night. The man at the desk was SO RUDE, wouldn't even let me finish my sentence before yelling at me that he only had too hands and I had to wait like everyone else. I didn't need him to do anything, only needed to turn in the room keys to our night one room, so we didn't miss our tour. After trying to explain this he only got more angry at me so I just left. SO INCREDIBLY RUDE and brought me to tears. Awful service. In addition we booked this hotel solely for the indoor kids playground. However they had apparently rented the space out to a kids birthday party and it was so crowded my kids couldn't even play on it.

Großzügige Anlage mit Bar und Restaurant. Freundlicher Empfang, das check in wird über das zur Verfügung gestellte Pad durchgeführt, über ein Gleiches können im Zimmer Informationen abgerufen und Bestellungen aufgegeben werden. Das Zimmer ist funktionell ausgestattet und verfügt über ein getrenntes Bad vom WC. Es gab nichts auszusetzen. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig mit guter Auswahl. Die Außenanlage ist sehr schön, mit Blick auf die Hohensalzburg. Das lädt zu einem entspannten Drink ein.

Sehr angenehme Atmosphäre mit einem wunderschönen Blick auf die Festung Salzburg und einer 24h geöffneten Bar. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Gute gelegenes Mittelklassehotel wenige Minuten von der Altstadt entfernt. Leider schmutziger Boden im Bad und komplizierte Bedienung an der Reception

Small but cozy hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful. However it is annoyed that we had to request for housekeeping everyday as this service is upon request so to conserve our environment (?). There was one time that the front desk staff forgot to mark but luckily we got back earlier so can still get the housekeeping service. I think , at least, clearing rubbish bin should be included as basic hotel service ?

Sehr gute Lage - Sauberkeit nicht gut.

Eigentlich war es ein guter Aufenthalt. Zimmer war gut, Bett bequem, alles da, was man braucht. Lage natürlich wunderbar. Parkplätze sind vorhanden. Frühstück war sehr gut, nur leider gab es keine Latte Macchiato Gläser. Sauberkeit hätte besser sein können, ich hatte leider ein Schamhaar und Kotspuren des Vorgängers im Bad. Das war ziemlich eklig. Beim Check Out wurde ich nicht gefragt, ob alles gepasst hat. Im großen und ganzen war das Personal aber nett und ich würde das Hotel aber weiter empfehlen.

Die Lage ist gut, schnell von der Innenstadt aus zu Fuß zu erreichen und gut an die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel angebunden. Das Design ist nett und der Außenbereich schön. Leider war der Service nicht gut. Im Bad waren bei Ankunft fremde Haare. Die Duschkabine war völlig undicht, so dass beim Duschen ständig Wasser herauslief. Wir haben am Tag unserer Ankunft einen Kaffee mit dem im Zimmer bereitgestellten Wasserkocher und Instantkaffee gemacht und die benutzte Tasse stand dann die gesamten drei Tage unseres Aufenthaltes auf dem Tisch und wurde nicht weggeräumt oder ausgetauscht, obwohl der Zimmerservice da war und die Betten gemacht hat (und jedesmal die Handtücher ausgetauscht hat, auch wenn man sie auf dem Halter gelassen hat um die Umwelt zu schonen, wie von dem Schild im Bad beworben) Für diesen Service war das Hotel gnadenlos überteuert. Auch das Frühstücksbuffet war okay, aber den hohen Preis kaum wert. Das können andere Designhotel-ketten deutlich besser.

It was excellent with the exception of the cleaning of the room. I dropped a coin that rolled under the bed only to find an empty wine bottle and other garbage and the cups and glasses were not replaced with clean ones each day. The rest of the cleaning was good though.

Specially about this location, the parking lot is minimal, too few spaces. I have stayed at JUFA Graz last year and both lack of cleanliness. In both hotels you find easily lots of cockroaches in your room (I have photos to prove it). JUFA Graz was needing room renovation also. This JUFA was Ok, new rooms, but the cockroach problem seems a JUFA chain issue. A particular person of the staff was not necessarily rude, but with minimal patience. And I saw her shouting with a guest that was complaining about here reservation. They say they have a restaurant but it only servers snacks. I have ordered a simple pizza and it came burden. Not sure if I will come back.

Hotelzimmer sehr klein. Kein Schrank, nur Ablage. Kopfkissen... naja... Waren sehr verbraucht. Frühstück war in Ordnung, nur Personal war etwas überfordert. Ansonsten Personal sehr freundlich

I have traveled a lot. I do not have the American expectations that some people have an actually relish in the cultural differences when traveling. That said... The rooms at Jufa were really small. There was nowhere to put the suitcases or clothes. No dressers, no closet, and we tripped over the bags the whole trip. That was not a big issue. We could make do. The hotel is about a mile from eveything that was going on in Salzburg. We had to walk through a residential area to get to the touristy stuff. We love to walk, so again, no big deal. The breakfast was the smallest selection I have ever experienced in Germany. We stayed at two small boutique guest houses on either side of this portion of the trip and received huge selections which were included in the price of the room. This one was very limited and cost us $20 a person. We can kind of get past that too. What I couldnt get past was being chewed out because my wife didnt join me for breakfast. I was skiing and she wanted to sleep in, but the breakfast hostess didnt like the fact that we werent in the lounge together. She gave me the third degree and then again to my wife when she came down to breakfast. That experience was NOT worth $20 per person.

Great stay here, large room and friendly staff. Breakfast was AMAZING, I had to stop myself from eating. Amazing view of the fortress and scenery from our room.

The room is soooo small. I thought that wouldn’t really matter but it definitely does. If you have any suitcases you won’t be able to open them and if you do then you can’t walk around. The shower is super small as well.

Room was clean with nice view. Bathroom was clean and fresh. Staff were friendly and lovely. Baby bed was provided as requested. However, room size wasn’t spacious. Special thanks to Alejandra.

Nice hotel, fairly varied breakfast, location is quiet but the restaurant/bar noise travels throughout the first floor rooms making it impossible to sleep until the early hours of the morning. Our room was horribly noisy with the sound of moving furniture.

The staff was so friendly. The room was small but it was so clean and comfortable and quiet. The parking was really easy and all the tourist sites were close to the hotel. This is a great hotel

Die Lage ist prima - sehr nahe an der Altstadt und ruhig sowie a bisserl grün aussen herum. Leider fehlt wohl Personal (wie vielseits), was sich besonders beim Frühstücksbuffet bemerkbar machte (Tische nicht gedeckt, Tische nicht abgeräumt, fehlende Teller oder Tassen, Buffet teilweise nicht nachgefüllt).

First of all Laura, the receptionist was amazing, professional and super kind. A really valuable asset of the hotel. Secondly, the breakfast. The variety was outstanding from fresh fruits and baked goods to hot dishes cooked to perfection. Every item tasted fresh and carefully prepared.

Tuve un inconveniente con la manager por la reserva. Yo reserve para cuatro personas pero fuimos dos. Ellos no me dieron una solucion de cambio de cuarto para dos personas y no me descontaron el breakfast de dos personas que no fueron. La manager bien despota no tiene trato.

Keine Ahnung wie das Hotel 4 Sterne hat, Frühstück schrecklich man musste 15 min auf Gebäck oder Wasser beim Büffel bis Neues gebracht wurde, wenn man Vollkorn oder ähnliches wollte musste man es fragen und wieder warten beim Kaffee Automat extrem lange Schlange, Parkplatz kostenpflichtig und nicht beleuchtet,sind am ebene angereist und wussten nicht wo wir sind da alles dunkel ist, der Lift extrem klein und braucht ewig

Great hotel location, breakfast excellent, would recommend to stay.

Thankful for the service received, breakfast may require some patience as some dishes are popular and dissappear quickly when busy. Overall good experience, maybe the room could be slightly larger, it did at times feel cramped with my wife and I. Thankful to the staff and tenants who made the experience so great.
