Stayed 2 nights

When arriving at the hotel, the storm from the previous night had interrupted their service to generate keys for the guests. This caused the staff to have to walk each guest to their room and let them in, and every time you had to leave your room, if you needed access after, you had to wait for a staff member. Upon arriving at 5:45 (checkin was at 4:00) my room was not ready. They had the papers printed out of what rooms need to be ready, so you would think they would at least have the rooms cleaned and ready regardless if the keys worked or not. So instead of arriving after checkin started, my room was not ready. I waited in the lobby for an hour and a half and still nothing. By the time they had the room ready, we went upstairs, with a staff member to let me in, and the room was not ready at all. Had not been cleaned or bed remade. So back down we went. I finally said, I am going to go to dinner instead of waiting and hopefully it will be ready when I get back. I returned around 8:00 - 4 hours after checkin - and after talking with another staff member, they decided to put me in a different room. No key card so I just stayed in. Finally got the key card at 6:00pm the second night. I have stayed here before and no issues but this was horrible customer service. No compensation for the delay in checkin, just 15% off our breakfast place that used to be complimentary but now is not... but nothing else. Just "sorry". Unfortunately, I will probably not be staying here again.

Stayed 1 night

We arrived at 1:30 and were told there were no rooms and to return after 3. The clerk said she assigned us to room 207. We returned after 5 to a new clerk, who said we were not assigned to 207. He said no rooms were ready becaue housekeeping was still doing their final checks. We sat in the lobby for 15-20 minutes before the clerk came and told us he'd give us a free upgrade to a king balcony. The room had issues: the fridge had a glass door with a light that remained on, illuminating the room. One of the closet doors was off the track. It was a solid wood door that was very heavy to move. I needed the iron that was behind it. We were able to move the door enough to get it out. The curtains had brown-rust-colored stains on them. The bathrobe was dirty and hanging on a hook in the bathroom as if left there by a prior patron. The rooftop bar was allegedly open. We went up to the top only to find it was not -- it was an hour before it's stated closing time. In the morning, the man in the breakfast room was quite rude. We asked if there was any juice. He walked in the back without saying a word. After serveral minutes, we left. We've stayed here once before. It's a very quirky hotel -- we loved that. But, this stay was not a positive one.
