Clean room, staff were friendly, central to cairns, pool isn’t the cleanest but good place to lounge. It gets rowdy at night so bring earplugs if your not in the hustle and bussel

4인실내에 욕실 화장실이 있어서 편리했습니다. 발코니도 있어서 여유 있는 공간. 다만 개별 라커 없이 작은 금고만 있는 점이 아쉽습니다. 공유주방도 어느 호스텔보다 넓고 깨끗합니다. 냉장고도 굿. 셀프 청소라지만 직원이 항상 청결하게 관리힙니다. 수영장도 좋아요. 그밖에 1층 클럽이 3시까지 운영해 시끄럽다고 할 수 있으나 매우 익사이팅한 숙소입니다. 클럽 이벤트도 매일 바뀌고... 어차피 일상이 아닌 여행을 추구한다면 나쁘지 않은 선택. 한국어하는 친절한 직원도 있어서 마음 놓았어요. 현지 투어 여행사도 1층에 있고, 끝으로 재래시장 옆이라는 점도 장점.위치 굿.

Very lively party spot! Always activities happening at night, food from the kitchen was excellent, facilities kept reasonably clean, happy hours were a bonus, staff were friendly & helpful. I'd recommend trying to check into your room early since the process was a bit slow around 2pm.

WOW! First impressions count and they really hit the nail on the head at gilligans, not only is it way bigger than i expected but it also comes with some incredible on site facilities! Met by friendly and professional staff at check in which made me feel very settled. Once i got to my room not only is it the biggest hostel room ive ever stayed in but also the best layed out, looked fresh and tidy and everything was clean! I was staying in a 4 bed female dorm, all single beds so no having to go up and down bunk beds cause lets face it theyre fun as kids but not great as adults. The room came with a good sized balcony with seating, a good sized wardrobe, enough room to store a big suitcase under the bed aswell as room around the bed, mini lockers and separate shower, sink and toilet so no having to wait to go to the toilet if someone is in the shower! Great A/C that keeps the room nice and cool! All the beds come with a light and 2 plugs as well as 2 usb sockets incase you forget your adapter. Ontop of all this each level has its own common area with comfortable seating and very spacious and then its own kitchen, also spacious and you actually have room to cook stuff unlike other hostels i have stayed in where you are having to share the same space. Just need to fix a few of the lights on the level as it made it a tad dark. Finally as i was only staying here for 5 days i spoke to the very friendly on site travel team who got me some great deals on my activities. On the whole i

Stayed in a 4th floor room with an excellent ensuite - toilet and basin separate to shower room. 4 single beds, can chose single gender or mixed. Computers in reception/lounge area. New-ish 4 storey building, a self catering kitchen on each floor and well equipped. The bigger dormitories are on the lower floors, so busier kitchens and lounge areas. Good outdoor pool with lots of outdoor furniture. The accomodation is basically over the Gilligan’s nightclub which has something on every night. Rooms are not totally sound proofed but it was ok for me. Really convenient position, walk to most places. Also a few minutes walk to the bus stop. $1 all day bus travel for anyone. A great stay for young or older people.

They allow anyone in the pool area it’s not just for the people staying at the hostel. The homeless people are aggressive and demanding

Enjoyed a 1 night stay at Gilligans in the Deluxe Room. It was spacious, quite and had a balcony and own bathroom. Fridge with kettle and tea etc. Room service available and you can make use of the communial kitchen and lounge area and pool. Great bar downstairs, which you couldn't hear from upstairs. Overall was a really nice place to stay and I would definitely stay again.

Surprisingly very large private rooms (bigger and better than many 4 star hotels in Cairns) Bathrooms cleaner and better kept than many hotels in Cairns- grounds staff are champions. Elevator could do with some attention otherwise excellent. Its not quiet after 9pm BUT thats the point of staying at a backpackers always something going on. Very great place.

2段ベットが頑丈だったため寝返りの際気を使わずに済み、安眠できた。 また清掃が行き届いておりどこも常に清潔だった。部屋にベランダがあるのも良かった。

Die Girls Only Zimmer (4. Stock) sind im Gegensatz zu den Mixed Zimmern (3. Stock) nicht renoviert. Es riecht feucht, wenn nicht sogar schimmelig im Zimmer. Die Betten im 4er Zimmer sind ohne jegliche Privatsphäre. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Musik vom angrenzenden Club ist die ganze Nacht über zu hören, mit Ohrstöpseln aber kein Problem.

Dirty lots of construction

Great place. Exceeded our expectations. With a hostile I wasn't expecting such a large and very clean room. And the place has everything. Excellent thank you.

Överlag smutsigt, AC luktade mögel.och allt i rummet var fuktigt. Service ok. Kök var ok för matlagning och förvaring av mat. Men förvänta dig inte att ha några koppar eller glas att drick ur för det har alla kidsen tagit till sina rum för att ha fest. Första nätterna var ok men när helgen kom så blev stället ett partyplace för 18 åringar. Så vill du ha ett ställe bara för att övernatta och få lite sömn vilket jag letade efter är inte Gilligan's rätt ...

My room was a 4 person room which was decent overall. The pillows were small and not sufficient. The rooms a/c barely worked and the room had a damp / wet smell and feel the whole time. This is the perfect location in town if you want a party as they have stuff going on every night. The location is perfect for anything you would wanna do in town and the price was right for sure.

Be warned that it’s very loud on weekend nights as the club is attached to the hostel

Perfect for the traveller who wants it all within your fingertips. It is a 10min walk to the fleet terminal. If you are a light sleeper, do not book this place because there is a nightclub beneath the hotel that is active. Perfect for the party goer and it is central in town.

Wenn einem bewusst ist, dass man eben in nem Backpacker Hotel mit Kneipe, Spaß und Party nächtigt und es daher lauter zugehen kann, bekommt man wirklich große Doppelzimmer, Betten sind top, Bäder ebenfalls und die Balkone sind auch riesig! Mitarbeitende alle durchweg freundlich

Convenient location for drinks but its in awful condition. We had 2 private rooms. My pillow smelt like someone pissed on it, the room stank of mould, the wifi doesn't work on the top floor and the air conditioning was stuck on a very low temperature. You'll get a nice hotel for the same price elsewhere.

The accommodation mux of people. Welcoming reception staff. Had no hot water in room 402 shower or hand basin. Fire alarm was set off unable to get through exited door on ground floor and the floor area at bottom of stair well smelt like a sewer

Poor cleaning of the rooms. Should be 24 check out, the have just put a security man in the reception, that didn't know anything about it. Just write your email and room number. I hope i will get my 40 dollars back. This is bad service.

Very lively spot! If you’re a backpacker in Cairns you have to stay here, it’s part of the experience! Everything is also super well run, easy check in, getting to the rooms, feels safe and clean! Personally stayed in a room for 4 people and it was nice that it wasn’t bunk beds, also the beds were very comfortable and larger then most other beds at hostels! I would definitely recommend staying here as it’s so convenient! Just be aware there’s lots going on and it will probably be a bit loud at night so we at plugs will help!

Das kleine Problem wurde sofort gelöst. Sehr freundliches Personal. Ambiente rund um das Hostel ist super für junge Party Leute, aber auch für uns "älteren" war es super für einen Drink vor dem schlafen. Unser Zimmer war Strassenseite. Man hat ein wenig Lärm von der Strasse und den Personen nach der Party, aber von der Party selber hörten wir nichts. Lage ist super. Es hat alles in der Umgebung und zum Strand und Promenade ist es einen gemütlichen Spaziergang von ca 10 Minuten entfernt. Empfehlungen, über die Shieldstreet gehen. Sehr gepflegter Fussweg.

It’s amazing here. The staff are wonderful and the beds are new and the carpet in the rooms is new. The rooms are clean and new and have A/C. Now that said, it is still a hostel. Lots of young people here having fun. So if you want a conventional hotel it’s not for you - but they also don’t hold themselves out as a conventional hotel. However I have stayed in a lot of hostels and this is by far one of the nicer, newer, cleaner ones I have ever stayed in. Would absolutely return here and stay again.

深夜まで騒がしいのですが、耳栓をくれるのでさして問題はないと思います。キッチンやロビーがあり飲食はそこでできます。繁華街から近く、すぐ脇に青果のマーケットがあり飲食店もたくさんあります。

A lot of shopping and dining places are really close to Gilligan's which were helpful. Plus sufficient room for transport to park right outside the motel
