New Linden

I was pleasantly surprised by the New Linden. Location is pretty great 8min walk to Bayswater or Notting Hill on the circle line and about 30 min to most attractions. I was disappointed to find the shower was not draining and the light over it was out but they fixed both within 2 days. Daily maid service. Odd and quaint that you leave your key in a basket when you leave. Once they let me take the wrong key before I realized the mistake - use your hotel safe! Bag storage means leaving your bag in the lobby for anyone to grab but thankfully no issues. I'd bring a locking cable if I stayed again. Overall the hotel is in good shape and the only other concern would be lack of AC in the summer. We stayed in a family suite with 3 beds and worked out well but the steps to the main bedroom can be dangerous at night. The neighborhood was amazingly quiet and safe. Pubs within 8 minutes in either direction and a Sainsbury small grocery 3 min away. Hotel breakfast of hard boiled eggs, cereals, 2 kinds of yogurt, croissant, tea/coffee was underwhelming - Sainsbury has better food (salmon lox, fresh fruit, hot pain au chocolate, hot cocoa) for a lower price and open 30 min earlier.

This hotel was nice, clean for the most part (our bed cushions smelled a bit musty, though) and staff was really nice. Room was small, but it was enough for a 2 night stay. It gets really warm when it's sunny out as sun hits it directly. Not a complaint, just something to know. Cannot leave luggage, as we were told the hotel is not responsible for it, and that we could leave it just beside the reception desk, which we chose not to do. Other than that, good place to stay.

Staff had a difficult time explaining things when I asked about the aircon that clearly wasnt working. He ended up telling me that there is no aircon in the whole hotel facility. It’s pretty obvious there’s aircon in the lobby though because it was cold. I just wish they invested in keeping the guests comfortable too. I guess it’s safe to say I won’t be staying here again.

Fick först ett rum i källaren som var iskallt då elementet inte funkade, personalen lyckades inte heller få igång det så vi fick byta rum och fick då ett trevligt rum högre upp i huset. Bra läge med gångavstånd till fina kvarter i Notting Hill. Tips, när man kommer ut från hotellet gå åt vänster, dvs inte mot Hyde Park utan åt andra hållet, så finns flera caféer i nästa gathörn och där går även buss 7 till Oxford Street.

Sejour d'1 nuit suite a l'annulation d'un vol la veille. Hotel tres bien situé, batiment et hall jolis. Belle chambre avec vue sur les toits de Londres. Tout allait bien jusqu'au check out où on nous annonce 10 £/bagages, c'est payant depuis le covid !!! Il a bon dos le covid. Nous sortons de 9 mois de long voyage et jamais aucun hotel ne nous avait facturé de babagerie. Surtout que les bagages restaient dans la hall finalement. Vu notre agacement on a pu payer "que" 20 £ pour 6 sacs mais c'est toujours 20 de trop !! Dans le livret c'est indiqué qu'il y a une bagagerie mais pas que c'est payant. A priori gratuit au check in mais pas au check out !!!! ???? On nous dit que c'est payant partout mais la veille nous etions au bermondsey square hotel et ils ont gardé nos sacs toute la journee gratuitement !! Bref faut pas prendre les gens pour des idiots !!

For a budget hotel it was very clean, ad the bathroom was decent. Yes there were odd signs of wear and tear but generally very good. The guy on reception last night when I checked in very late in the evening was very polite, friendly and helpful. Will be staying again, great value for money

Room really compact but comfy bed and really nice view out onto the square. Hotel decor is fantastic and really clean /tidy. Will definitely return

Cobwebs above bed, hair in shower plug hole, usb ports didn’t work, cracked tile on bathroom floor, sticky dirty floor. Apart from that it was great!! 😕😕

The bathroom was dirty. Had to clean the toilet. The shower had hairs in it but they did not show up well on pics. The floor was dusty around the edges. There was no tea or coffee and the drawer they were supposed to be in and it was not very clean. Given tea and coffee by the receptionist but no milk. Eventually went out and bought tea and milk from local Sainsbury. The tap was absolutely disgusting, as was the rest of the sink. Toothpaste had been spit out and covered the tap. It was dried solid and plenty of it. How it had been missed only god knows. I assume the sink was not cleaned at all because if it were it would be noticed. On a different note, one of the electrical sockets was loose and when i pulled out the plug it sparked. Not very good if young children are around. Trying to upload pics but the app is not allowing.

The Hotel is really old, lots of things like the toilet paper holder and towel holders falling appart, window won’t seal the cold out, also it is wheelchair/stroller friendly only if you can clear the few stairs in the entrance, room was small and not so clean, my kid was playing with his toy cars and they went under the bed just to reveal a year old thick layer of dust. Also there is no fridge (that you’d think is a must in a 4 star hotel) Only thing we liked about this hotel was the location, I don’t think we’d stay here again

Dejlig beliggenhed med gåafstand til undergrunds stationer, Nottinghill området og Portobello Road markedet. Venligt og imødekommende personale. Værelset var meget småt og slidt. Badeværelset manglede knager og badeforhæng. Hele rummet blev vådt når man badede.

Het ontbijt was echt heel slecht. In een kelder zonder zuurstof. Een geroosterde boterham of croissant en kaas, worst of jam. Echt onder de maat. Koffie is een bak slootwater. Alles was verouderd en half gammel. Verwacht ook geen uitzicht vanaf de kamer.

Fint hotel, men godt slidt. Vores vindue i værelser kunne ikke åbnes iden kæmpe besvær. Der var ikke forhæng i brusenichen så alt blev vådt. Morgenmaden...... der manglede nogen røræg, bacon lidt pølser osv. Men alt i alt godt hotel der trænger til opgradering. Personalet var super flinke og hjælpsomme 😊

Echt een prima verblijf voor een paar dagen Londen. Ondanks wat ik hier lees over het personeel zijn wij keurig geholpen. Bij het ontbijt stonden we niet op de lijst. Toch mochten we plaatsnemen en elke dag het ontbijt nuttigen. De kamers zijn netjes. Elke dag schoongemaakt en voorzien van schone handdoeken. Ligging is perfect, metro op 7 minuten wandelen. Vlakbij winkels, bars en restaurants.
