Great location, very close to the train station and a 10 min walk to the old town. The room was quiet, everything in the room worked well. Free water and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. The only downside was the tiny size of the room- 3 adults had to take turns opening our suitcases. Breakfast at 15 CHF was okay.

Allot of noise at night if using the rooms to the rear elevation/courtyard. If so you will need earplugs. Staff are amazing, super polite and professional. Ground floor entrance area is immaculate and the breakfast was ample. Free coffees from the machine in reception!

We felt safe and cared for during our stay. Our room was comfortable and had a great view down the street. We loved the coffee and water station, and the tables in the lobby for playing cards or eating a takeaway meal. The hotel is very convenient to the train/bus/transport station and is just a couple minutes’ walk down to the water. We did not appreciate how expensive the breakfast was and would not select that again.

Great location. Near everything. Close to the train station. Has an elevator which was great for all The luggages. Friendly staff. They were able to hold our luggage for us which was very helpful. Only thing was it gets noisy in the room since it’s on a busy intersection so you can hear all the vehicles and people on the street. Not a deal breaker Overall. Excellent place Thank you

We paid for a triple room with a rooftop terrace. We were told that room was being renovated so we got two adjoining rooms without terrace. The refrigerator in one of the rooms was hotter than the room. The gym was also unavailable due to renovations in progress. Do not stay here unless you know the renovation has been completed. We would not have stayed here if we had known half of the hotel was unavailable.

The only thing I’d have to say is that the bathroom smelled like sewage every time we left the room and came back. It was like it needed to air out or something, and then it was fine. Otherwise, everything was great!

Room is very basic, more like a motel. AC in the room was not working and told the receptionist a few times and they seen very surprised, and claimed that it should work. And said they will look at it when we explored the city. And of course they didn’t fix it. Room is very hot and can’t open the window to sleep as too much noises plus very closed to the train station. The bathroom has lots of mold on the ceiling. The only pro thing is you can have unlimited coffees and teas at the restaurant and sit.

Overall disappointing hotel experience, when I arrived there was vomit and a foul smell on the stairs, the room was advertised as with AC but the AC did not function, I found hairs in the bathroom and an overall minimal amount of comfort in the room. Upon checkout a rude staff member insisted I had an unsettled breakfast charge despite me never setting foot in the breakfast room. He kept saying “I know you took breakfast” despite me trying to explain there must have been a mistake, and when he offered to review the security footage which I gladly accepted he then backtracked stating “ok I will waive the charge but I know you had breakfast.” All of this over a 15 Swiss franc fee seemed rude and uncalled for - he then went and got the staff working breakfast at the time who confirmed it was not me and had a different age and appearance, and instead of apologizing he said “so this must have been the person you were staying with” despite my other guest in the room looking nothing like this description and getting breakfast with me outside the hotel. The location is great, but for the price I paid and the state of the accommodations I left with a bad taste in my mouth unfortunately.

We booked this hotel as it was within walking distance from the train station. It is literally a 2 minute walk from the train station and easy to jump on buses and trams to local attractions. The rooms in themselves are comfortable but dated. The blinds do block out the majority of the light but more could be done. The shower head was coming away from the wall. The staff were really friendly and helpful with recommending places to go along with the free transport that Geneva offers. Breakfast was basic but very nice and it was great to have a kettle and fridge in the room to keep drinks cold and make a cup of tea after a long day. This is not the case in all Swiss hotels on our travels so was very thankful for it.

This hotel is perfectly situated in Geneva. Just down the road from the train station & within walking distance of the lake. The rooms are big & well provided for. I recommend this hotel.

Ok place in Geneva. Very loud ac unit in the room, we stayed in a triple room. It has very low ceilings but was ok. The breakfast is not great, but in my opinion that’s kind of usual in Europe. Geneva is very small so most places are close to the Center and train station. Staff was nice, the hotel is very close to the train station and dining so it’s really convenient. If I was going to come back to Geneva I would consider this hotel again, but not for more than a stay of a day or two at most.

Arranged and confirmed with the Front desk the night before a late checkout 1pm instead of 12noon. 12:15p the front desk call to say checkout was at 12:00 noon. I told him that we had arranged a late checkout, was told it was impossible. We were already packing so we rushed to get out. When we got down to check out the clerk said if we wanted to, we could go back up to the room until 1pm.

Super convenient small hotel (5 rooms/floor). Right by train station and short walk to downtown/old city. It’s a bit loud as it’s in the city, but with windows shut it was plenty quiet. Staff super friendly and helpful. Nice buffet breakfast. Will be my go-to hotel in Geneva.

Great location, very close to the train station and a 10 min walk to the old town. The room was quiet, everything in the room worked well. Free water and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. The only downside was the tiny size of the room- 3 adults had to take turns opening our suitcases. Breakfast at 15 CHF was okay.

Hotel des Alpes is a good choice for a short stay (1-2 nights). It’s small and in a very busy location, so it’s not a luxuriant option. But, for convenience to transportation (train & bus), central location for walking the city, and reasonable cost in an expensive city/country, it’s perfect.

Very convenient for local and long distance rail stop. Several restaurants within a few blocks as well as numerous small stores. Only downside is the mild traffic street might get a siren going by once or twice a day so I suggest getting a room higher up or non street facing. Otherwise a good stay.

This hotel was probably the most convenient hotel in our two weeks stay in Europe. It was only a block from the train station, and a few blocks in the other direction to Lake Geneva. There were a lot of food places in shops in a walkable distance around it. The hotel room itself was OK, the balcony was really nice, but the room just seemed a little outdated in terms of furniture and appliances. However, we still had a good night sleep so that made it okay

Super convenient small hotel (5 rooms/floor). Right by train station and short walk to downtown/old city. It’s a bit loud as it’s in the city, but with windows shut it was plenty quiet. Staff super friendly and helpful. Nice buffet breakfast. Will be my go-to hotel in Geneva.

We booked this hotel as it was within walking distance from the train station. It is literally a 2 minute walk from the train station and easy to jump on buses and trams to local attractions. The rooms in themselves are comfortable but dated. The blinds do block out the majority of the light but more could be done. The shower head was coming away from the wall. The staff were really friendly and helpful with recommending places to go along with the free transport that Geneva offers. Breakfast was basic but very nice and it was great to have a kettle and fridge in the room to keep drinks cold and make a cup of tea after a long day. This is not the case in all Swiss hotels on our travels so was very thankful for it.

We felt safe and cared for during our stay. Our room was comfortable and had a great view down the street. We loved the coffee and water station, and the tables in the lobby for playing cards or eating a takeaway meal. The hotel is very convenient to the train/bus/transport station and is just a couple minutes’ walk down to the water. We did not appreciate how expensive the breakfast was and would not select that again.

Good place to stay in Geneva! Only 3 mins walk to the train station and about 5 mins to the lake. Also it’s about 3 mins to the bus terminal where you have multiple choice of companies which can take you to Chamonix and Annecy. Staff is friendly and breakfast is good.

We came to see the grand continental city. We had 3 adult family members and so chose the hotel for the loft arrangement and it’s proximity to the train station and the lake. The staff was very helpful, the breakfast was great, and the room was small but comfortable. We were very happy with it.

Ok place in Geneva. Very loud ac unit in the room, we stayed in a triple room. It has very low ceilings but was ok. The breakfast is not great, but in my opinion that’s kind of usual in Europe. Geneva is very small so most places are close to the Center and train station. Staff was nice, the hotel is very close to the train station and dining so it’s really convenient. If I was going to come back to Geneva I would consider this hotel again, but not for more than a stay of a day or two at most.
