The pool is AMAZING but they need to chill on the chlorine. It burned my eyes to where I couldn’t sit for more than 10 mins from the hot tub.

Pool is always a plus, wish pool temp was a little warmer. Disappointed the hot tub was not working. Hope that is fixed in near future

The beds were good & clean, but almost everything else needed to be deep cleaned. The pools needed scrubbed, they had algae all over them.. but the slides were fun. The rooms need updating. Overall, it’s ok if you just need somewhere to sleep & shower.

The Bad: Light fixtures broken, wires exposed, and the worst part was the pool was filthy, not heated, and unusable.

Pool was filthy. Could not see the bottom. Indoor pool cold as ice. Not heated. Bare minimum everywhere. Checking out lady was rude. One and done with this hotel.

The roofline had loose fascia, held on by a couple of nails about to fall off. The pictures on the site are very old. Does not look like the pictures. Rusty bolts in the pool area looked unsafe for the slide. Building needs a lot of TLC.

This place hasn't seen a paintbrush or hammer in a decade. Extremely run down. Chose this place solely for the pools and slides. Conditions were abismal, and a few things downright dangerous. Lawsuit waiting to happen. The ceiling of the indoor pool looks covered in black mold. The timbers holding the stairs and ramp to the indoor slide are rotten to the core. This place is just waiting to be shut down.

Pool area had a lot of what looked like black mold around it. Pool was merky and you couldnt see through it.

The pool area could use a little upkeep and a good clean. I get it's full off humidity so it's got some mold issues. The slide also has screws that holds it together sheared off

The pictures in the listing are very very deceptive. The rooms are in awful condition. The listing stated 2 queen beds. It was 2 full size beds. The indoor pool was so filthy, the health inspector shut it down while we were there! The entire property needs cleaned and properly repaired and updated for the price they charge. I absolutely would not return or recommend.

The room had a horrible smell, the linens on the bed were dirty with a nasty smell, the bath tub was filthy with stains, the floor around the toilet was disgusting. The pools OMG had had green slime around the edges and the smell of chlorine was overwhelming, the water was so cloudy you could not see the design of the turtle at the bottom and let’s not forget the adults smoking at the pool. The place was just disgusting, I will never stay here again!!!

Door didnt lock on deluxe suite 400. There was roaches in the cabinets and mold in the jetted tub for some one to have a short family vacation qnd pay over 400 dollars that was horrible

The rooms are very dirty and outdated. The doors did not lock. The wifi does not work, because supposedly it is only one satellite per 2 rooms. The tub was very dirty. There was mold on the ceiling. The toilets do not flush. The lobby was very messy and wet from pool water. The front desk attendant was eating a full marinara jar while talking to us. Another front desk attendant disregarded our concerns about the room. We had to leave and rent another hotel because of how horrible the experience was!

Bathroom was nasty had hairs everywhere. Mold on the ceiling. Pictures are deceiving

This place smelled really bad, that musty water smell… we were greeted in our room by cockroaches and there was no hot water, barely luke warm. It seems that management and workers are use to people complaining and leaving and asking for refunds, they don’t even attempt to fix the issues or even seem concerned about it.

Years ago this hotel was amazing, not any longer. The room was filthy and smelled like body odor. Tje tub faucet fell off. The second room we were given had roaches and both rooms had pillows that smelled used. The pool was nasty green color. So that was a no go.

The 2 rooms was nasty, they both had human hair in the bathtubs and bathroom floor, one room had crumbs in the bed, the pool was green, the front desk lady was rud and showed no concern are help with any of my complaints. One of my rooms was on the 3rd floor of the back side of building, the other room was on the 2nd floor on the front side enabling us to share the time we had. The vanity mirror in one of the rooms had hair all over the mirror above the sink. It is by far the nasty place I've ever stayed in and i travel there at least 4 times a yr

I should have read reviews before we arrived, but I didn’t. We checked in & went to the room & there was POOP on our bathroom door, holes in the wall, the paint on the cabinets were chipped off, where you hang your clothes was rusted. My kids found a chewed up Zyn pouch (tobacco) on the bed. You couldn’t see through the pools water, the kiddie pool was absolutely filthy. There was algae on the pool steps and the bottom step was broken on the pool. We went to dinner and came back to get ready for bed & when we pulled the blankets off there were brown stains on the sheets. We saw a roach & bugs in the bathroom. If I could give 0 stars I would. 0/10 do NOT recommend.

There was black mold on the ceiling. I reserved a junior suite and when I got there, I was informed there is no such thing as a junior suite. It smelled overwhelmingly musty. The door didn't lock. The pool heater was not in service.

Loved the location and the staff but the hotel could use some upgrades. When I say on the bed I could feel the springs, the bathroom had cracks on the floor and the shower water went from freezing to scolding hot. The pools were nice but the grounds around them had cracks also and looked dirty. Again, the staff was friendly and it was on the strip close to everything so I appreciated that.

I paid for a king Mountain View suite we only saw the building in front the bed was horrible and they only gave us 3 small pillows for king size suite very old fashion very unhappy would not recommend

Pretty old property with a strange layout. We had a 4th floor suite which required you either take the elevator to the 3rd floor, then up steps to a landing, then more steps to the fourth, or take the elevator to the 4th floor, than down a 1/2 flight of steps to the landing, then up steps from the landing. The rooms were large and appeared clean. However the furniture and mattresses were old and the thermostat was nearly unusable. Furthermore, the thermostat is located behind a TV so the temperature the thermostat sensed was several degrees warmer than the actual room temp. Trying to change the temperature was a challenge as the up/down buttons worked sporadically. Don’t think I’ll be visiting this hotel in the future.

Shower not too good, bed not too comfortable and pillows was flat! Air conditioner was great!

Was a good stay for a quick last minnie night trip to Pigeon Forge. Room bedsing was updated but nothing else was. Floors def need updating. Wet outside the bathroom door in front of the sink area the whole time we were there. Had issues with remote from the start. Was fixed to where we could change channels but could not adjust the volume or turn off so we just had to unplug the tv. There was also a dried up booger on the curtain. Overall not terrible for a last minute one night stay but def wouldnt stay longer.

The room was Bad. Only 2 beds in room with No Dresser to put clothes in. Big Empty place in it. Should have been a dresser or small table and chair .I Won't Go there Again

Right off the road towards Dollywood so a lot of traffic. Not very quiet, as you can hear all the cars going towards Dollywood. The reception area apparently doesn't have coffee but there is a gas station 100ish yards away. Right by all the little touristy shops and attractions. Plain rooms and the beds seemed to have like a divet in the middle. I'm not super picky with where I stay as long as I don't see bugs or gross stains everywhere, which I seen neither. I would've stayed in Gatlinburg though.

Room and facility were very clean. Beds are old but not awful, a bit sagging. The main issue is there is no furniture in the room. No luggage rack or table or a chair to sit on. The hotel is at a good location. The indoor pool was warm and enjoyable.

The rooms were clean, however there was 1 staff member checking in and gathering towels. I waited over 15 minutes to get checked in while another person waited over 30 minutes.

It was a cheap and convenient place to stay. Unfortunately when my husband and I tried to go to the pool we were met with it being packed with unsupervised and disrespectful kids, a disrespectful dad, and a LOT of broken rules. Like glass in the pool area and the unsupervised kids running, not being safe on the slide and being rude. Tried to tell the hotel staff but they didn’t care because the desk becomes unstaffed at 11pm so they were about off. When I tried to check in the front desk agent was rude and you could tell she hated her job and didn’t care about her customers. Didn’t give any directions to the room and certainly didn’t say have a nice stay, or enjoy your stay.

The customer service was amazing. Candace was at the front desk. She was very helpful. We were there with our grandson and she gave us several nearby places to take him to and was telling us about the pool and how popular the pool is with the kids so we plan time for that too. She was just really helpful and sweet! Good customer service is hard to come by these days and she was amazing!

I waited two hours to be checked in because nobody was at the front desk and when I finally got to my room it was dirty and there were no towels at all and pee in the toilet in the bathroom. Terrible experience, I really wanted to love it but it was really stressful and bad.

This place was TERRIBLE. Indoor pool heater didn’t work, wasn’t told that before check in. Rooms were dirty, hotel staff cussed my elderly mother out when she asked for a partial refund. DO NOT STAY HERE

The night staff was extremely difficult, we traveled with family and had 3 rooms booked. We requested to be next to each other and were told the hotel is completely booked and they could not accommodate our request. Ended up with 1 family on 2nd story, 2nd family on the 3rd floor and the rest of us on the completely otherside of the property. The AC did not work in our room and asked to be moved, the front desk made smart remarks to me about checking if the unit was even plugged in, I told her I think the unit has a short and maintenance should take a look at the unit, she said, well did you look at it? She eneded up moving us to another room a few doors down. The next morning, we decided to leave early, we walked up to the 3rd floor where our family was at and noticed more then half the rooms were not being used. It was obvious because the curtains were open and beds were made in atleast 8 rooms on that floor. I understand that hotel is a little out dated and we expected that. But we didn't expect the poor service which make us not want to stay at the hotel again and would NOT recommend due to poor customer service/hospitality.

The lady at the desk told me that I couldn’t check in early but everyone else that came in got to check in early. We sat in the lobby for 3 hours and watched 6 families check in early. The pool was disgusting and the room smelled like a cinnamon wall sent.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Longtime Guest Extremely Disappointed I have been coming to this hotel for over 10 years. It used to be a place we looked forward to every single year—clean, family-friendly, and well-managed. Unfortunately, the last two years have been a complete disappointment, and this most recent visit will be our last unless major changes are made. To begin with, the Wi-Fi did not work at all during our stay, which made it difficult to manage even basic things. We also had a serious leak in our room that left our entire floor soaking wet for all four days—completely unacceptable. On top of that, the slides, once a highlight of the property, were so damaged they were cutting kids’ feet. Several families had similar complaints. That’s a major safety hazard that should have already been addressed. Worse, one of the staff members falsely accused our girls of misbehavior in the pool area. Not only was it untrue, but the situation was handled in a very unprofessional and accusatory manner. The overall cleanliness of the hotel has gone drastically downhill, and it seems like standards across the board have dropped. I regret not reading the recent reviews ahead of time—it’s clear this property has gone from a 5-star destination to barely hanging on to 2 stars. Great location. Walking distance of a lot of attractions. Pool is small and I didn't see a hot tub. Our room Bathroom needed updating. Otherwise service was very nice and room was comfortable for the price. I'd stay again next time I'm in the area.

Check in was easy and the employees were nice. The room was clean and cozy. The mattress and pillows were perfect comfort. I am short in height and the bed height was perfect for me to get in and out of bed easily. Towels and linens were clean and fresh. Soaps, shampoo,lotion,toilet tissue supplied well.The lobby and pool area were clean and attractive.Easy parking and parked in front of our room. Close to many restaurants that you can walk to. 10 minute drive to Dollywood. I would and will stay again at Riverchase Lodge.

Great location whether you want to enjoy Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg.

The pools with waterslides are a great way to have family fun without spending a ton of money. The location has its pluses and minuses. It is on the corner of Parkway and Veterans, which makes arriving from Sevierville really convenient as you can completely avoid Parkway yet still be right on Parkway. There is a trolly station, several dining options and many shops within walking distance. Literally take a right out of the parking lot and Dollywood is just a short drive down Veterans. However, there is a lot of road noise associated with the proximity to these two major streets. The rooms facing Veterans are particularly noisy. There is no breakfast available, however, breakfast at one of the many pancake houses is part of visiting Pigeon Forge anyway. I have stayed here several times, the rooms are always clean and the staff is always friendly. Will be staying here again!

While its a little older, its location/proximity to everything was amazing. Staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. Great heated indoor pool with water slide during the winter. Great retreat after a day of attractions.

The location was convenient to everything you needed.

For the price, this place was decent. The room was clean and I had no issues with parking. However, there are two major roads close so there is a lot of road noise. The pools are nice, but the inside slide didn't really work.

Location. Location. Location! Especially for Dollywood goers! The hotel itself is dated, and could use a bit more upkeep in the rooms including cleaning the shower and carpet floors a bit better. However, the beds were clean and comfortable and we weren’t in the room all that much. Google seemed to have it wrong- there is no breakfast provided but A LOT of places around for meal choices that you can either drive or walk to. If you’re headed to Dollywood or the Island or even up to Gatlinburg this is a great place to stay on Parkway, but you will have to overlook some upkeep issues.

The facilities were very dirty and outdated, didnt offer breakfast or the room we thought we were getting. Also could not use indoor pool, the chlorine will burn your eyes out just sitting in there.

I was skeptical about the previous negative reviews. The hotel was decent and clean the pool was warm and the slide was nice . The Heat in room worked really good the beds were decent . They need to offer breakfast . Hotel in perfect location convenient after spending day at Dollywood . The refrigerator and microwave worked great would stay here again but somewhat pricey.

Nice hotel, awesome pool. Would be better if they offered some kind of a breakfast even if it was cereal & pop tarts.

The website was misleading, we had a junior suite, no table or chairs in the room. Coffee pot sat on a make shift shelf in the restroom. Very noisy. Ice in the lobby, not on each floor, vending machine on each floor only drinks no snacks. Card charged at check in, not departure. Just very disappointing. The only good thing was the location

Water pressure was terrible, room smelled like chlorine. Asked for extra pillows they did not have any, coffee area was a mess. Lady was informed but other guests trashed it. Smoke alarm kept going off informed the front desk two times. Finally we just took it down. Light in bathroom kept blowing. Room was very cold great upgraded ac unit. Outside has been updated rooms are slowly. Great location and front desk attendant was nice. Wished the pool was open longer. They do give additional towels for that but get them earlier. People tend to steal the towels.

It was a great stay at river chase lodge I just wish we would have ask for a different room… we stay in 114 right by the elevator and every morning it was so so loud in that area around 5am..just crazy loud for no reason Also, they offset Wi-Fi but the Wi-Fi would never connect, not once & the service around that area isn’t great at all so be prepared to not use the Internet while in your hotel room It was clean and the staff were very nice

the heater was out of oder so the pool was cold, at did not have brefast as other places was place was dirty.

We liked the location of the hotel and could have been better but our room needs some maintenance issues fixed. The toilet didn't flush well, the sink wouldn't drain well and backed up Everytime it was used. The bathroom door has water damage on the back of it and Everytime we closed it to use the bathroom pieces of the door would fall off. The outdoor pool was closed due to season which is understandable. The indoor pool was nice but the floor around was very smooth and slick. When we went to use the pool on our second night the door was locked so we asked at the desk if it was closed already and the guy at the desk said they had to close it early but could or wouldn't say why. It was advertised as having breakfast but none was available but did offer a coffee machine in the main lobby. Overall we would stay here again but the maintenance issues need to be fixed.
