The Wesley Camden Town

No frills accommodation, but that doesn't mean not good. The idea is many rooms in an efficient set up, no restaurant, breakfast or communal areas, rooms are comfortable and well equiped, modern and very clean. The lack of 'services' on site isn't an issue as the local area is flooded with all types of food options from around the world within a metre of the front door. There are books to borrow, free tea and coffee of many types and a vending machine for emergency snacks! The bathroom has vantity kits, emergency feminine hygene product and nice cleaning products. Nothing bad to report

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and the room cleaning was very good. The coffee machine in the lobby was not always functioning and the highly touted vending machine was out of order for the entire 5 days of my stay. Also, the seating at the communal work table in the lobby were extremely uncomfortable. Teh book selection was intriguing.

Check in was odd as the waiting area wasn't laid out in a way that made it comfortable to wait, but everything else was 10 out of 10.

Got a double room for under £150 (no breakfast). The hotel is in great condition, the decor and facilities are well looked after and maintained, which is due in some part to the fact the hotel was only opened about 3 years ago. The room was comfortable and there was enough room to move in. The ensuite wasn't very large but had enough room to do what you needed to do. (Shower was great.) The receptionist was really helpful. There is water freely available from downstairs together with extra tea and coffee. The location is great for Camden (Camden Market is about 10 minutes walk). There are local bus and tube options close to hand too. Would definitely go again if it was inside my £150/night limit.

I usually never post reviews about London Hotels for the price I pay, as the quality is average. But this hotel is of great value for the same you pay in other london hotels. Nice attire of room, looks refurbished to top quality, comfortable, loved the mobile bluetooth key option, which I never saw in 5⭐️ hotels even. Early online check in option makes it faster process. Invoice sent over email upon checkout. No breakfast options, though have vendings, and many options outside the hotel anyways. Overall deserves five stars.

Great hotel for a base in Camden, great facilities in a nice clean room. Very comfortable bed and allowed us to leave luggage safely in reception all day after check out.

Lift was broken and we were on 4th floor w lots of bags. Bed was mobile on wheels or similar! Electricity occasionally cut out. Noisey air con and an exit light that lit up the room. Room did not represent Expedia photos (1/2 size). Otherwise good location, clean, new renovation and staff nice enough but manager probably should have hired someone to help w bags. Given the above a bit pricey all considered. The Hilton in Woburn pl way better and only a little more pricey,

The room was had all the things I needed, plus some really nice toiletries that I loved. Coffee at reception was also lovely for when I was too jetlagged to venture far from the hotel. The staff was always present and helpful.

The property is a bit of a no frills... you're not paying for ambiance. There is no where to really hang out here. You're paying for a room. Room was nice and quiet. The designated wifi connection was not stable, and once I called the concierge for the issue I was given the password to a more reliable connection... but I was irritated that this wasn't an option provided before I spent a few days there as I use internet to conduct business and need it to be reliable. I personally would spend my money elsewhere.

Nice hotel, quite small and basic rooms but well laid out and perfect for a 1 night stay. Good value for money. Bathroom was really nice and modern. Hotel is in perfect location for Camden market. Near tube station as well. Loads of restaurants. Cons: Plugs next to one side of bed broken/not working? Hotel hasn’t been open that long so not sure how long that’s been faulty. As we pulled the curtain a receipt was behind it dated the 10/07. So ?cleanliness in that area. We stayed 13/07. Would be nice to have the option to have 2 pillows each in room. Would stay again if taking trip to Camden area.

The staff is friendly and very helpful. The room was a good size and the bathroom was amazing with everything you would need. The property is in excellent condition and even though they were painting the hallway my room was in, it was never a nuissance. Housekeeping was impeccable. I’ll definitely come back again.

The online pictures were very misleading. The room was tiny, with no room or chair to sit, no room for a suitcase, no drinking water and the temperature was very warm. The carpet was old and dirty.

Very welcoming and friendly, room was exceptionally clean, with comfortable bed, being in camden there was no outside noise, which we commented on in bed in the morning. We would recommend and stay again.

Nice - modern and secure. Good responsive heating system. For £303 this room was tiny. No drawers to put clothes. Small hanging area but directly over kettle and tea making area so clothes got steamed and hurt my back having to lean down to make tea. One pillow each but they brought two more without question. Only 2 tea bags in room but complimentary station in reception. Ironing board stood in room in what little space there was so we used it to hang our coats on!

Classic double was smaller than pictures on the website or Hotels.com (no desk, no side table, less floor space). Really too small for 2 people or anything more than a short stay. I don’t mind a small room in general but wouldn’t have booked this one for a long weekend for 2 if I knew just how tight it was. Bathroom was very nice. Room lights had a mind of their own and repeatedly went off at unhelpful times such as when in the shower. Common areas, including lobby and lift, felt very budget hotel. Staff was competent but overall interactions were very short and terse. Overall felt this hotel is aiming for a higher end hip vibe than it actually delivers. Would not stay again for the prices advertised.

The Wesley is a great location if you are going to a gig at Koko. I stayed in room 38 and it was comfortable, clean and quiet. I worked from the room in the afternoon and the wifi is reliable (no desk in this room, others might have them). The are plenty of places to eat around the hotel, I went to Cafe Koko and Lumi and both were excellent. I would definitely stay here again.

The internet was free but did not work at all the past day we were staying there. Other than that the stay was enjoyable

Positives The hotel is modern, clean and recently refurbished while being in a great location for Camden being close to the market, tube station and venues such as Electric Ballroom and Koko. Negatives The staff were not particularly welcoming on check in or check out - it felt as though we were inconveniencing them which was very uncomfortable. In terms of the room, we stayed in a double classic room. The room was incredibly small with no table or anywhere to sit down other than the bed. The was only a small slit of a window at the top of the wall so very little natural light. The kettle was in the wardrobe space (more of a small clothes hanging corner) which made it very difficult to make a drink while having clothing hanging. The bed itself was poor quality - a very small double and on wheels on a laminate floor so even the slightest movement like sitting down made the bed move which was very frustrating. Finally, there were also only two pillows that were not very comfortable and all this resulted in a poor sleep. Overall, we are disappointed with our stay at the Wesley. Although the location, cleanliness and modern furnishings of the hotel are great, it is hard to recommend when the very basics of space, light and comfort are lacking. In areas it felt more like a hostel or student accommodation than a hotel. I appreciate that we only booked a ‘classic’ room, but I expected more for £200 per night.

Great stay, room is small but perfect for a short break. The only thing I wasn't keen on was all the check in, having to have an app and sign up to stuff and then it's not clear if you use the app as a key or how to pick up a key card. I'd just prefer to check in at reception like a normal hotel. Staff were really nice and place was clean... great stay.

Lovely refurbishment - all the mod cons, and perfectly air-conditioned. The lift was very convenient when travelling with a lot of luggage! Staff were very friendly & helpful.

Was delayed in arriving due to storm across UK. Reception consists of a desk and the 2 staff covering didnt look to engage -just asked for my name and gave me forms to fill. Over next 2 days didnt get much out of staff. Some more focused on mobiles than service. Hotel room decent (coffee ring on bedside table not too welcoming!!) and location was great for Camden. I think I will try elsewhere if I return to area as didnt feel it was great value for the money I spent.

I've stayed in london a couple times now, and this is definitely my favorite! Tons of shops & stores within walking distance. Its very close to two underground stations (Mornington Crescent & Camden Town) whicu are incredibly easy to navigate. Little markets & convenience type stores near by. Night life is great! Seemly safe (solo female). The one and only down fall is the rooms are small (there is a ton of space for your items tho), so not ideal for families, but solo or couple trips, this is perfect!

Very nice place, good location, it is Camden so you will have everything at your doorstep, 10-15 min walk from St Pancras (tfl strike…) and another 10 min to Camden Lock area (work), seems like almost newly renovated and very friendly staff.

Great hotel in excellent location for Camden nightlife

The Wesley Camden was ideally located between two underground stations. It was in walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Although it is located in a busy part of London, the hotel is situated on a quiet street. The staff was friendly and catered to all our needs.

Well situated near the Camden market and to the underground tube. The place is comfortable with a large bathroom, very clean and great for a quick weekend trip. There were a couple quirks of the place, for one the bathroom door doesn’t stay open and there is no compatible socket for the hairdryer in the bathroom itself.
