From the very beginning our booking was full of support from Adrian who make sure that my family and my little daughter would have comfortable stay. I cannot rate higher ( shame ) as room was very clean , everything was well set for us. Adrian welcome us on our arriver and let us know about all important things. For I think big comfort when you travel with young kids is good to know that is also microwave available to warm up food for baby( not only - but for us this worked just perfectly) So if you would like to save money on food while travelling this is the great place to stay. Thank you and we would definitely come back there.

Absolutely did the job. Walking distance to Southsea, the town centre and Gunwharf. V easy check in. Great to offer 3 single beds in one room. Room was clean. Likely to stay here again.

It was a nice quiet area Room was small and shower unit area very small. Room service was very good and very plesant staff Parking should be free as it was handy for the likes of me disabled. Overall I would stay there again.

The property is in a really good location. Turn left for a 15 minute walk to Gunwharf Quays and right for a 20 minute walk to the town. Andrew is really friendly and helpful. The room was lovely, complete with towels, a couple of basic toiletries, wardrobe, TV and free WiFi. For those of you that drive …. The on street parking is right outside the property (depending on what time you arrive) and is paid via the Ringo app (1327). Parking is free from 6pm - 8am. Would definitely recommend.

Not a fancy place, but fine if all you need is a place to sleep. Staff was absolutely wonderful. The place is well maintained and clean; in fact I'd say the paint was recent and the bathroom had been renovated fairly recently. About a 10 minute walk to Portsmouth's many waterfront attractions. Also, there's a Tesco Express nearby for snacks, etc. There's what appears to be a nice restaurant next door, although we didn't try it. There's three parking places behind the inn for an extra 15 pounds per day. Street parking is 13, so the convenience is well worth the extra. All in all, I would definitely recommend for anyone who doesn't need a luxury hotel.

As advertised, this is is very much a no frills hotel. No breakfast, but tea/coffee making kit in the rooms. Importantly, the hotel is very clean and the rooms have clearly been recently renovated. The bed was very comfortable. Our room was in the rear of the basement and was therefore very quiet, but the view from the window into the light well wasn't pleasant. The arrival experience can be a bit off-putting - no lobby, just a long corridor - and should be improved to offer a more welcoming feel; this is probably not possible, though, given the age/style of building. Good sense of security, even though there's few staff. Good location, easy walking to Victorious festival or into the town centre.

I wasn't aware until I checked in online that the keycard was going to be in a lock box. All good though, seemless entry into property. The room was clean with kettle, coffee,tea, with UHT milk being replenished each day. Double bed with 3 good size pillows. The bathroom was nice, decent size shower, no issues with hot water. There was a fan supplied, which was great. TV worked fine once I worked out how to change channels. I believe there was a small share fridge and microwave in the hallway. For cheap accommodation this was definitely excellent. I'm travelling on my own.

good communication, the owner/manager called me the day before to run through the process as i left i spotted a fridge and microwave, not sure if it was for guests to use, however it would have been nice to use if it is, as i stayed 2 nights i could of kept some drinks cold i moved my son into halls, and it was a short 10 min walk away i parked on the street with no issues it said if you wanted towels changed leave on the floor, i hung mine up, as i was happy to reuse, i wouldnt expect on a 2 night stay for the housekeeper to come, however they did and changed the towels, despite there being a notice in the bathroom re towels being washed unnecessarily! would have stayed again in a couple of weeks but i found a cheaper hotel shops are a short walk away i had the room nearest the front door and was perfect, it was clean, defiantly a budget hotel, but it was a base to sleep in, everything worked ass expected a few steps up to the property, incase you have mobility issues

The hotel is very basic but clean. It's exactly what it says; budget hotel. Bizarrely, we came back from a day out, the bin was emptied and a towel we used was folded, but the shower wasn't cleaned and the beds weren't made. It was a bit noisy from the people staying upstairs and the traffic from outside.

Had the basement family room. Pollution from the road was coming in through the gaps in a random door which was locked off. Had someone sitting on the stairs outside our window smoking which we could smell in the room.The noise from the people above was absolutely disgusting and management did nothing to resolve it. I had to sleep with my headphones on and volume full blast. Pillows were rock hard, the decor was outdated. Toilet cistern lid was cracked, no extractor fan, the noise coming from the next doors taps was loud enough to wake you up. The only plug socket in the room was barely attached to the wall. Only pros were the room was clean and good water pressure in the shower.

For the amount I paid, I couldn’t really complain. It was cheap and cheerful, the room was clean, the bed comfortable and the TV worked. There was WiFi available although I didn’t use it. I would have liked a desk to work at, and a few more sockets but you get what you pay for.

Spacious room, good facilities for budget hotel. Central hotel, clean, comfortable and good communication. If you are a light sleeper and in the triple room bring eye mask and ear plugs as traditional windows let the noise in and curtains let the light in as they are bay. Otherwise great value .

This is , as it is called, a budget hotel . Its clean , safe and has good sized rooms with comfortable beds, a hot showe and tea and coffee. The communication was excellent, the check in friendly , polite and helpful and i was surprised at how quiet it was at night being on a busy road. There are no frills here but thats fine for me . My only wish was that the curtains kept out more light , but that's a personal preference. Good value for money. I will book again.

The price was very cheap, so I got what I paid for. Very small room with large comfortable bed so only space about half a metre on either side and one metre at the end of bed. Not enough room for 2 suitcases. Small TV, one small bedside table. Lots of plumbing and tv noise from other rooms. Window overlooked a filthy smelly courtyard with flying insects and pigeons so we didn't open window (no aircon). Shower sprayed water all over bathroom floor, curtain didn't prevent it. Shabbily renovated, gap in the floor under carpet. Good location though.

Fantastic place to stay and would recommend this hotel to everyone. The staff are fantastic and very friendly and do everything and beyond for there guest's. I will defiantly return again as probably the best place we've stayed in Portsmouth. good communication, the owner/manager called me the day before to run through the process as i left i spotted a fridge and microwave, not sure if it was for guests to use, however it would have been nice to use if it is, as i stayed 2 nights i could of kept some drinks cold i moved my son into halls, and it was a short 10 min walk away i parked on the street with no issues it said if you wanted towels changed leave on the floor, i hung mine up, as i was happy to reuse, i wouldnt expect on a 2 night stay for the housekeeper to come, however they did and changed the towels, despite there being a notice in the bathroom re towels being washed unnecessarily! would have stayed again in a couple of weeks but i found a cheaper hotel shops are a short walk away i had the room nearest the front door and was perfect, it was clean, defiantly a budget hotel, but it was a base to sleep in, everything worked ass expected a few steps up to the property, incase you have mobility issues

The property is in a really good location. Turn left for a 15 minute walk to Gunwharf Quays and right for a 20 minute walk to the town. Andrew is really friendly and helpful. The room was lovely, complete with towels, a couple of basic toiletries, wardrobe, TV and free WiFi. For those of you that drive …. The on street parking is right outside the property (depending on what time you arrive) and is paid via the Ringo app (1327). Parking is free from 6pm - 8am. Would definitely recommend.

Not a fancy place, but fine if all you need is a place to sleep. Staff was absolutely wonderful. The place is well maintained and clean; in fact I'd say the paint was recent and the bathroom had been renovated fairly recently. About a 10 minute walk to Portsmouth's many waterfront attractions. Also, there's a Tesco Express nearby for snacks, etc. There's what appears to be a nice restaurant next door, although we didn't try it. There's three parking places behind the inn for an extra 15 pounds per day. Street parking is 13, so the convenience is well worth the extra. All in all, I would definitely recommend for anyone who doesn't need a luxury hotel.

The room was clean, comfy, affordable, and safe. The chap who ran the hotel was a phenomenon; friendly, assuring, reassuring, discreet, and fab with his pre stay communication. Parking was ok for me as I have a blue badge. Otherwise it'd still be affordable; it's street parking on a meter There is a Vietnamese street food restaurant about two minutes walk away which was absolutely brilliant. We stayed there overnight as it is fairly close to Goodwood, I'm just about to book it again for next year

As advertised, this is is very much a no frills hotel. No breakfast, but tea/coffee making kit in the rooms. Importantly, the hotel is very clean and the rooms have clearly been recently renovated. The bed was very comfortable. Our room was in the rear of the basement and was therefore very quiet, but the view from the window into the light well wasn't pleasant. The arrival experience can be a bit off-putting - no lobby, just a long corridor - and should be improved to offer a more welcoming feel; this is probably not possible, though, given the age/style of building. Good sense of security, even though there's few staff. Good location, easy walking to Victorious festival or into the town centre.

One night room for three friends. Great location for travel to IoW ferry the following day, short walk to old town where there’s a great pub for food n drink, also a short walk to other bars nearer the town centre. Everything was good although and I’m not marking down for this… the shower was extremely hot!!
