We had a great stay at Riva del Vin! It was very easy to get to using the water taxi while also being very conveniently located to landmarks such as the Rialto bridge. The staff were super kind and helpful as well. Breakfast was amazing and the coffee service was excellent. I loved that the breakfast room overlooked the canal and even had a balcony that you could access at any time!

Everything about this hotel was amazing! Room was big, bed and pillows were comfortable, view of grand canal and Rialto Bridge was gorgeous. Staff and breakfast all top notch. Loved having the lounge area next to our room on 3rd floor with the little balcony we could go out on and watch the bustle of activity. Only complaint was the bathroom was a bit tight, but I think that’s expected in Italy. Great recommendations from staff on restaurants and shops for authentic Venetian food and items. Perfect location for our first trip to this beautiful city. Another surprise about Venice is how clean everything is. Especially compared to big cities in the USA. Did I mention the delicious breakfast buffet? Highly recommend this lovely boutique hotel!

Great location and staff really friendly. Good variety for breakfast. Clean and comfortable, our room was a little compact but served its purpose. Only thing lacking is their is no bar where you can stay and have a drink although plenty outside. Photo below is from the Rialto bridge and hotel is on the right hand side were the flags are on the second floor.

Fantastic hotel and the staff were amazing. Good continental breakfast in a room that overlooks the grand canal. There is also a relaxing room that has a balcony overlooking the grand canal for a great photo opportunity. Right near the Rialto bridge.

The room was small but comfortable in a great location I booked this hotel which was more expensive than others in the area as it stated it had a roof top terrace. I asked two staff members where it was (showing the inclusion from the website) and both said a hotel nearby had one ( we couldn’t find it if it was open to the public) The next morning I was reading reviews and one mentioned a quiet area on the third floor that had a terrace overlooking the canal. It would have been good to have been told this was available. The breakfast was lovely and staff friendly

Hotel Riva del Vin is located right on the canal steps from the Rialto Bridge. Very convenient location for walking around Venice. Our breakfast was included in our stay and it was a very large selection with a lot of variety. The front desk staff took very good care of us and they allowed for pre-and post trip luggage storage. The hotel and its amenities were lovely. We got dinner recommendations from the front desk and chose Al Gobbo di Rialto. It was excellent and would highly recommend. On a side note and having NOTHING to do with the hotel (and were NOT on the recommended list of eateries) - DO NOT EAT AT ANY OF THE CAFES RIGHT ALONG THE FRONT OF THE HOTEL UNLESS YOUR ITALIAN IS FLUENT SO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GETTING AND HOW MUCH IT COSTS.

Staff were very friendly, hotel is situated close to everywhere, however I had a very bad experience , elevator was not working ! I have to use stairs and the marvel/ tile on the stairs was super slippery.. anyone coming to this place be aware of stairs… plus room are a bit cozy.

This is a perfect place to stay in Venice. Short walk to all major spots you want to see. The view from the room is amazing. Silva and Carolina were excellent, kind and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and included. Hotel has an elevator, and an easy walk up. I would highly recommend.

Fantastic location, really easy to walk everywhere. Rooms are an ok size. Housekeeping could be better. We had an already opened, partly used bottle of water on the room and the shampoo in the shower was almost empty so I’m glad I had my own as it ran out. Breakfast room has a nice view but staff vary. It was ok one day but the second day they had run out of everything and anything seemed like a lot of effort for the lad working, even though there was only 4 tables of 2 people on there. I would recommend the hotel based on the location but wouldn’t put it as more than 3 star.

Very nice hotel right in the center of Venice with an excellent view to the Grand Canal from the breakfast room. Staff was very helpfull and kind. Room was clean. The hotel provided glutenfree bread etc. for the breakfast. It was a very good stay. We would like to stay there again another time.

This place has great location and accessible to Rialto bridge. But but the bathroom was not clean when I checked in and even the next day they didn’t clean the bathroom properly. Hair on the shower floor, water spots on the sink which grossed me out The staff was nice and tried helping me. Wish they got a better housekeeping.

BAD: Schimmel an der Decke, Ablage für Duschgel abgerissen Zimmer: Schrank: 2 von 4 Scharnieren rausgerissen, Teppich schmuddelig, kleines Zimmer Wirkte auf der Reiseportalseite alles größer, luxuriöser. und schöner Ist leider nicht der Fall. Kleine dunkle Butze. Personal in der Rezeption und beim Frühstück war wiederum sehr freundlich. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist für mich nicht ersichtlich. Leider enttäuschend.

Dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed at. Our shower and bathroom walls were covered in fuzzy mold, the sink counter and headboard were falling apart, and everything was dinged up. They didn’t offer any solution, refund or apology. No clue why this place has such a high rating on Expedia. The canal view was nice, but I do recommend earplugs.

We stayed two nights in a room facing the canal. I enjoyed being able to look at the canal and all the activities happening. Music at restaurants below started at 7 nightly and ended at 11. It was on the noisy side but not awful. Room was small as was bathroom. A little older. Not sure it was worth what I paid; however staff was great. And it was a very convenient location to lots of food and shopping options. Breakfast was good.

Great central canal location. Pleasant and helpful staff. No English channels on TV despite many English speaking only guests…for the room rate of E350 + per night one would expect so. Can get noisy late at night due to music and restaurants and bars directly below our canal view room. Otherwise very pleasant stay.

This hotel is in an amazing location! Right at the foot of the Rialto Bridge, has amazing views. It is a small boutique hotel. The rooms were warm when we arrived. It took maintenance to come fix the A/C's in all 3 rooms and sleeping with a fan which they provided. Silvia at the front desk was so helpful, giving us a map for a great walking tour, where to catch the Gondola, set up rides to the Murano glass factory and our water taxi transports to the Airport. We didn't have enough time to explore all that we wanted. the rooms need some maintenance which Silvia told us they are closing in January for a month of maintenance. It was in the perfect location!!

The staff was friendly and very helpful providing information about the area. The location was great, close to restaurants and other attractions. The only complaint was the A/C was not working well in our room. They did not have another room available for us and we had to wait for it to be repaired.

Overall the location was great, staff were very helpful as well. The bedroom we had was very dark, dark painted walls and there weren't enough lights in the room. Bathroom was spacious but again too dark and not enough lights.

The staff here are all excellent and the property itself overall is nice. Unfortunately, our deluxe Canalview room was also located directly above a restaurant which offered live music until rather late at night every night. The bed was also unfortunately very, very uncomfortable as we felt the mattress springs push pushing into our backs each night.

Reception team were incredibly helpful and lovely. Room was fine although felt very small and verging on claustrophobic. Location very good for getting to Silvestro boat stop or jumping over the Rialto to other stops and only a 10-15 minute walk to Saint Marco

Carolina is AMAZING!!! After realizing on a train to Rome that my husband left his backpack with critical medications & medical device on a water taxi in Venice, we reached out to the hotel to see if they could assist with this medical emergency. And Carolina was the miracle we needed, going above and beyond the call of duty—coordinating with the water taxi, personally picking up the pack, and dropping it off to a courier who delivered it 1 hour before our cruise left in Rome. She is a miracle worker and WE ARE SO GRATEFUL TO YOU for all your efforts to return this much needed luggage to us in a timely manner. Thank you so much again. You literally saved our vacation.

And Carolina was the miracle we needed, going above and beyond the call of duty—coordinating with the water taxi, personally picking up the pack, and dropping it off to a courier who delivered it 1 hour before our cruise left in Rome. The staff was AMAZING! Sylvia, Sanaa and Osama went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Our room was comfortable and best surprise ever, we arrived on the day of the annual regatta. We had a front row seat from the balcony on the third floor. We could not believe our luck. This weekend also happened to be the Venice film festival. Sanaa gave us all the pertinent info for travel to the island of Lido to dine and try to catch sight of one of the stars. I would highly recommend this hotel for the best stay in Venice! Can’t wait to come back. Will definitely stay again at Riva Del Vin. Thank you, Ken and Michell

Staff at the hotel are wonderful and went out of their way to help with everything from directions, restaurant recommendations to booking water taxis. They even walked us for he taxi pickup location when we left. Breakfast was really nice. Great location on the grand canal but still quiet enough in our rooms. Always felt safe.

This is a perfect place to stay in Venice. Short walk to all major spots you want to see. The view from the room is amazing. Silva and Carolina were excellent, kind and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and included. Hotel has an elevator, and an easy walk up. I would highly recommend.

Great location, close to the Rialto bridge. If you plan to cross the Rialto Bridge with luggage, please be aware that the bridge does not have a ramp. It’s a stone arch bridge with steps. Great hotel located within 2 minute walk of Rialto bridge. Close to everything! Very friendly staff who went above and beyond for us during our stay there. Also has very easy access from the boat ferry or a water taxi. Will definitely come back and stay here again next time!

Property is in a fantastic location, a 2 minute walk from the Rialto bridge. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was served in a small dining room at the front of the hotel on the 3rd floor with great views of the grande canal. Our room was dark and small with 2 small windows looking at the side of a building. It was comfortable with everything we needed.

Buffet breakfast was excellent, you can look at to the grand canal, they also have an area on the third floor with a tiny terrace where you can take pictures. Location is superb within walking minutes of San Marcos. Vaporetto stop right across the hotel. Loved our stay. We would recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Very nice hotel right in the center of Venice with an excellent view to the Grand Canal from the breakfast room. Staff was very helpfull and kind. Room was clean. The hotel provided glutenfree bread etc. for the breakfast. It was a very good stay. We would like to stay there again another time.

Hotel Riva del Vin is located right on the canal steps from the Rialto Bridge. Very convenient location for walking around Venice. Our breakfast was included in our stay and it was a very large selection with a lot of variety. The front desk staff took very good care of us and they allowed for pre-and post trip luggage storage. The hotel and its amenities were lovely. We got dinner recommendations from the front desk and chose Al Gobbo di Rialto. It was excellent and would highly recommend. On a side note and having NOTHING to do with the hotel (and were NOT on the recommended list of eateries) - DO NOT EAT AT ANY OF THE CAFES RIGHT ALONG THE FRONT OF THE HOTEL UNLESS YOUR ITALIAN IS FLUENT SO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GETTING AND HOW MUCH IT COSTS.

First of all I need to say the staff was great. Very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location. Just steps from Rialto bridge. The room however was pretty terrible. Room was carpeted throughout and had a sour musty smells. They did shampoo the carpet the second day, but it didn't help much. The faux leather headboard was disintegrating and worn and the fabric wall covering was faded and fraying. I wouldn't stay there again
