Watermark Hotel Kyoto

Clean, comfortable room. Friendly staff, automated check in, easy to use and great luggage storage facility so we were able to leave luggage there and explore city before check in time.

The hotel staff were very pleasant and always helpful. They knew just enough English for us to communicate what we needed. Breakfast was good and gave us one less meal to worry about. The laundry room can get crowded so you may want to plan ahead if you have an extended stay. Laundry unit were cash (100 yen only) as well

Staff was super helpful and allowed you to keep your luggage there after you check out. Very close to a main subway station and less than a 20 minute walk to Kyoto station. The Gion district to the East is only about 1/2 a mile away. The rooms were spacious and we really enjoyed our stay!

The staff who checked us in gave us no information what so ever, we only got the card and basically moved up stairs lol. Aside from that, I saw the storage room on my floor was opened and some of the “cleaned” towels were thrown onto the ground before delivering to the room. Another thing is the laundry, it is basically non existent, there are supposed to be 4 of them but two were removed during our stay and one broke down, so the last remaining machine was constantly occupied and we had to wake up at 4AM to use it. Oh and the last part is the buffet breakfast, it is 1500 yen but with very limited options and teh food was basically instant food you get from convenience stores, but convenience stores are way cheaper and tasted better.

We loved Kyoto. It is a great city and a great base of operations to see nearby towns and sights. We stayed here four nights. There was a metro nearby, and it was only one stop to Kyoto Station (containing an ultra modern entertainment complex, retail stores and restaurants) and Kyoto Tower with its fantastic views of the city. Between this hotel and Kyoto Station is a Buddhist temple campus with gorgeous traditional buildings. We visited Nara, the Fushimi Inari Shrine with hundreds of Torii gates, the Bamboo Grove and the wonderful nearby river park, and the cities of Kobe and Osaka. Kobe asno Osaka are just a short ride from Kyoto on the bullet train. This whole area exceeded our expectations. The suite was really big with two queen beds on one side and a twin bed and desk area on the other side. A partial wall divides the suite. In the wall is a large TV with a mirror behind it that flips around to either side of the suite, but it looks like it’s embedded in the wall. The decor was Japanese-style with tatami floor mats and wooden slats in the walls. The beds were low but not all the way in the ground. The beds were very comfortable. The hotel has two washer/dryer machines (each machine washes and dries) on the second floor. This hotel was perfect for our family of four. The hotel restaurant/bakery was closed for renovations when we were there, but there were plenty of nearby food options. I highly recommend the Watermark Hotel and visiting Kyoto.

This hotel is (IMHO) perfectly average. Clean, safe, in an excellent location. Cons: They practice sustainable housekeeping so sheets are only changed every 3 days unless requested earlier. Windows require staff to open, they generally keep them locked closed because they're concerned about guests making too much noise for the neighbors. The attached restaurant is only open for breakfast and doesn't offer much besides bread. There aren't fans in the toilet rooms, so airflow can be a problem in there. There is laundry but there is not a pool, spa, or gym. Pros: Suites come with free Keurig coffee, staff is extremely kind and helpful, location was excellent for exploring Kyoto. Overall I would say that you could get more amenities for the same price than staying here, especially since the subway system is prolific and a lot of Kyoto is very walkable.

Most comfortable 3-stars i ever had. My stay was 2 nights. It was a deluxe 2-bed room, and it felt like a 4-star hotel experience. Breakfast was amazing with Japanese cuisine and every day the breakfast was slightly different, which was exciting, there were many plant-based options as well. The lobby offers a wide range of amenities.

Nicely decorated hotel. Friendly staff. Very eco-friendly with the filtered water system. The rooms are clean and the decorations are elegant.

ホテルフロントの丁寧な対応や設備は良かったです。一方で水回りは綺麗に掃除されていましたが、部屋のテーブルやTV下の棚のところなど拭き残しがあり少し汚さを感じました。

客室は清潔でした。 アイホンの充電コードをお借りしたときの、スタッフの方の対応がすごく優しくまた親切にしてくださったので気持ちよく過ごさせてもらいました。

我們住了四晚，沒有給我們打掃，回去的時候全部地下及床上的頭髮沒有打掃，基本上所有的清潔也沒有做到

The room cleaning service was like a joke. Only replacing towel and rubbish bin while my bed sheets remained dirty. The room was so noisy with some machine sounds every night. Not reasonable for sleeping. However, the room size was very good and I like the bathroom.

2020年10月にオープンしただけあって、店舗は非常に清潔。スイートは一般的にイメージするスイートとは少し違ったけど、でも十分に広くて快適。スタッフもみんな丁寧だし、子供が部屋に本を忘れたのだけど、丁寧に確保してくれてた。 朝食付きだったが、コロナ禍でビュッフェとはいえ、自分で自由に取れる形式ではなかった。でもスタッフの方が希望通りに取ってくれたし、この手のビュッフェにしては美味しかった。特にパンと野菜が美味しかった。できれば、飲み物がもう少しお茶などのバリエーションがあると良かった。ティーバッグでいいので。 全体としては非常に満足。さすがHISグループ。

整體房間都相當乾淨，榻榻米很舒適 但是熱水壺有點水垢跟輕微發霉，建議可以改進

ベッド周りが畳ですごく良い。泊まった部屋からは窓が開けれなそうだった。景色は見えなかったけど満足です

This place has one of the biggest rooms, I was able to place my luggage open in the room which is rare in Japan. The toilet as separate from both bath and sink which is very convenient. Its just 5 mins walk from Gojo station and the bus stop.

The only concern and issue was that the windows in our rooms did not open. Felt unsafe if fire or other issues should occur and there was no air circulation.

畳を取り入れた落ち着いたお部屋は、靴を脱いで過ごせて心身ともにリラックス出来ました。リラックス用の秘密基地にしようと思います。

Rummet var lagom stort och rymligt för att vara japan. Fräscht och nyrenoverat. Väldigt trivsam inredning. Säng åt det något hårdare hållet. Det går en trafikerad väg utanför som låter lite, vi bor centralt i vanliga fall så de störde inte oss men är man lättväckt kan det kanske störa lite. Fanns rum på andra sidan huset som säkert är lite tystare. Hotellet låg centralt och bra, ca 15 min promenad till citykärnan och shopping. Tunnelbanan utanför. En lite nackdel är det inte fanns någon krok i hotellrummet. Plus, det fanns en vakuumförpackare i lobyn så vi kunde packa våra väskor väldigt smidigt, kostade 300 yen / 3 min. Vilket motsvarar 3-4 påsar. Vårt bästa hotell på resan, rekommenderar!

Hotel Henn Na Premier hat uns gut gefallen, das Zimmer war zwar eher klein, aber sehr sauber und an guter Lage. Das Frühstück war OK, mit täglich wechselnden Speisen. Schwierigkeiten gab es nur zu Beginn, Google Maps führte uns zu einem anderen Hotel mit gleichem Namen. Offenbar kennt Google das Hotel nur unter seinem alten Namen "Watermark". Zu bemerken sei, dass es keinesfalls ein 4-Stern Hotel ist.

Excelente elección. La habitacion Deluxe en que estuvimos es espectacular. Vistas preciosas a la torre de Kyoto y a un templo. En una planta alta, con estilo japonés y espacio suficiente para sentirte muy cómodo (que normalmente los espacios y las habitaciones son muy pequeños). La ubicación es fantástica. Fuimos andando desde la estación (20 minutos) con algunos restaurantes cerca por si llegas reventado del dia y sin el bullicio del turismo y cerca de la zona principal de tiendas.

Great property overall. The only issue I had was that we had no view from our room. The windows were glazed so we couldn’t see anything. There also was no convenient place to hang multiple towels. Everything else was great. The hotel is close to a metro and bus station so everything is accessible! The staff are also friendly.

Beautiful interior and rooms, lighting in the room gives off a pleasant feel.

This was a great stay. Staff were so helpful and helped us book taxis. The rooms were so clean and I loved the look which was a more traditional style but still very modern which is exactly what we wanted in Kyoto. The location is so convenient to the subway and many bus routes. We walked from Kyoto main station with our bags. We would stay again!

Great 3-night stay at Kyoto. Check-in was very smooth and the property was very clean and I liked the traditional tadami style. Location was very close to subway/bus and was easy to get to the major locations. Definitely recommend for visiting Kyoto.

Sur une grande artère, Déjeuner est très bien et varié. À 1 minute d’une station de métro.

가격도 가성비 좋았고, 전철역하고 가까워서 이동하기 편리했습니다~ 방도 넓은 편이었구요, 다만 편의점이나 식당들은 조금 거리가 있는 편이라 아쉬웠습니다

Hotellet var rent och fint! Vi hade ett stort och fint rum och hotellet låg nära till det mesta. Frukosten var lite mer åt det traditionellt japanska, så vi hade lite svårt för den. Men annars trivdes vi väldigt bra på hotellet och personalen var trevlig!

Hôtel satisfaisant, plutôt bien placé. Chambre confortable, propre et même assez spacieuse, ce qui n’est pas fréquent au Japon. Petit déjeuner assez basique, surtout pour ceux qui déjeunent sucré.

キレイなホテルでした。３日間、朝ごはんを食べましたが、毎日違うメニューだったので、飽きずに、おいしく食べられました。

Very close to subway station. 5 minutes to Kyoto Station. Breakfast was well worth the price and little known steak lunch in restaurant on site.
