It was fine. The property is odd because the check in desk is on the second floor. The big problem is that there is no onsite parking and no valet. You have to park your car in a deck a block away and its $50 a night. I'd probably choose another place in the future.

Average to below average stay. Self parking at $50/day is less than convenient as the garage is a bit of a walk away from the hotel itself. Breakfast was well below par with items taking forever to be replenished. Coffee was watered down to pretty much zero taste. Front desk staff was rather rude when I was trying to get my parking ticket validated stating “you shouldn’t have inserted, rather scanned the ticket” as if that was a major inconvenience for them. Speaking of the room itself - the shower curtain was well short of the floor and a significant amount of water trickled out of the shower area unfortunately. Our sink was clogged which was thankfully promptly fixed by maintenance. The room does have basic utensils, a refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher. There is no complimentary water whoever so come prepared or pay $4/bottle from the small store next to the check in counter. In summary, a typical downtown-ish hotel which travelers pick simply for convenience rather than the experience per se. I would stay away from this property and go with several other downtown options instead.

We were here for one night to see a show in Chicago. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The main problem was there was no parking that was really close so we had to lug our bags from a couple blocks away.

This was a great value stay. The room was huge like a true suite with kitchenette, microwave, larger refrigerator, dinnerware, silverware, glassware, microwave and dishwasher (no dishwashing detergent was provided though). Also, I could not find an in-room safe anywhere, which was sorta disappointing. The fitness center was very basic with a good set of dumbbells. There were also washer and dryer machines within the fitness center that was a nice touch. The blackout curtains and sheers were both automated and could be opened/closed at a touch of a button. The location was within a short walk to the train station Chicago & State. I would definitely stay here again.

I’m mentioning this under the pretense that it was the air and water show however check in time is 15:00 and we finally got in to our room at 15:45. Not a huge deal and fortunately we had no place to rush off to or we would have been screwed. Also, parking is not convenient. I get it, the location is ideal and such a busy and fabulous part of a tremendous city…… just be prepared to walk. And if it was a Chicago winter?…… oy

No parking available But 50$ a night to park 2 blocks away what a joke i had my 70yr mom with me and it was very uncomfortable for her just knowing that i had to walk by myself in the middle of the night to a parking garage thats not well lit at night not good for women if your along luckily i had my own protection!! The original price on all day parking is 51$ the hotel gives a 1$ discount for you to walk almost 2 blocks away smh very disappointing and unsafe for visitors. Now what i will say The staff were exceptional they treated me with the upmost respect and was helpful on a few food eating spots near by Ashley and Mark front desk attendants Ashley also accommodated me another room due to the size because I was with my mom for her birthday!! Now let’s talk about the room!! First night we thought everything was fine. We got up to make coffee that morning. Grab one of the coffee mugs that was provided in the room and the coffee mug was dirty not clean it had dried up coffee( i have photos). My mom 1st time to Chicago n her just being older she said it ok no big deal so i decided not to make a big deal out of having dirty dishes put away as if it was cleaned just to satisfy my mom. The reception staff was great and the cleaning staff was also great. Rooms were quite and the location of the hotel is very walkable with bus stops close by. The gym is very basic. You can wash your clothes (not free) and breakfast is free. No pool.

Worst experience ever! There are bed bugs! I had a terrible experience staying at this hotel due to a serious bed bug infestation. During my stay, I kept waking up with new bites all over my body. At first, I thought they were mosquito bites or maybe an allergic reaction—I didn’t suspect bed bugs right away because I trusted a hotel of this level to maintain basic cleanliness and hygiene standards. After several nights and increasingly severe reactions, I finally managed to catch five or six bed bugs in the room. I immediately informed the front desk and asked someone to come to the room to see for themselves. Shockingly, they refused, saying I should have reported it on the first day. How could I report bed bugs on the first day when I had no idea what was causing the bites? That response was not only unhelpful but also dismissive and unprofessional. To make things worse, they refused to even switch a room for me! Just because it was the last night I was staying. I’m extremely disappointed with how the hotel handled the situation—zero accountability, no empathy, and complete lack of customer care. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. Bed bugs are a health hazard and should be taken seriously. This hotel clearly doesn’t.

My hotel room was dirty, there was a used bandaid in the shower, stains on the sheets and I noticed trash under counter in the bathroom. The staff was also very rude when I contacted them about my AC not working and told me they weren’t going to do anything about it. Overall it’s fine for a one night stay, just disappointed in the cleanliness and the willing to help when my hotel room wouldn’t go down past 74 degrees.

The room was not spotless, but once a phone call was made. They did move us. Initially the room had crumbs on the pull out bed. Bathroom floor had hair on it as if it had not been swept our first day last year was amazing. This year was good but the fact that we had to call to get corrected, it wasn’t the best thing we wanted to do.

Very good location, all walkable but the rooms needs more care. Mold on the washroom, the service very poorly, need asked 3 times for them to change the towels and clean the room. In 5 days they did once. Even conditioner was empty, the body wash was almost empty too and they didn’t replace it. The bed and the pillows very bad and not even enough pillows on the room. The carpet very very dirty. Overall I would not be there again, for the price and the name I expected better.

The hotel itself is great, our only problem was the bathroom. The shower didn’t have a long enough curtain or glass door and every time we showered the whole bathroom would get wet and the water pressure was horrible, what saved was that there was a second hand hold shower head. Breakfast was really good, a lot of options and the staff was great, very friendly and communicative.

Other stays at this property were great. This one was not. The handicap accessible room is roomy and accessible. The roll in shower is large and accessible. The room was clean when we arrived but we had trouble getting housekeeping during our 5 day stay. They came 1 time to clean. They did bring fresh towels and paper products when requested. Breakfast was hot and offered a decent variety. The beds are super firm. Possibly relevant. We were at this hotel during national immigration crackdowns and raids. Hotel staff may have stayed away to protect themselves and their families.

Our room specifically had sticky tile floors as we entered the room along with a musty smell. The sliding bathroom doors did not close easily. We had to use force or leave them slightly open impeding privacy. The AC worked in the room with the king bed, however, it was not working in the couch/kitchen area. This was only frustrating at night while the kids were trying to sleep on the pull out couch. It got warm and stuffy for them. Lastly, I did not like that the staff asked for us to verbally share our room number in front of other patrons while purchasing drinks from the hotel drink station. This led to an extra charge to our account that we didn’t authorize because identification was never required while making the purchase.

Hotel is in a great location — walkable to restaurants and tourist attractions. The room itself was nice; it was spacious and clean. Since it was a street view, it was slightly noisy with city traffic but certainly died down at 9/10pm. I wish the room had better sound proofing.. you can hear pets and children next door and in the hallway throughout the morning. Overall, I would consider staying here again!

Overall good property for the price. Very spacious room, and nice staff. The only problem was there was a nearby bar with music that was very loud Friday and Saturday night until late hours that essentially shook the walls. Outside of that, no complaints and it was easy to get everywhere I needed to while feeling like I was home.

Parking is 1.5 blocks away so keep in mind if driving. The first night our window didn’t properly shut so I could hear everything from the clubs and bars closing between 12am - 3am. I slept horribly. The next day we had someone fix the window and I slept better the following nights. There’s still a lot of city noise but it was muffled.

Perfect location. Excellent service. Easy to walk around to Mag Mile. Great restaurants close. Very pleased with our stay. The hotel team were timely, courteous, and very helpful. Probably the best staff I have experienced outside of a 5 star hotel. Breakfast is just fine as with any hotel breakfast from these chains, but it was fresh and fully stocked, clean and had a great variety of food. Parking is a couple of blocks away which at first seemed inconvenient, but I didn’t plan on a lot of in and out trips while downtown.

Bathroom exhaust broken, had to request for cooktop and tiny skillet. When I asked for a pot to heat soup, staff told me to microwave it. When I asked for a can opener, staff said to bring it down and he can “ghetto it”. I did and he couldn’t. I demonstrated the issue and asked for pliers so I can fix it myself. Fortunately other concierge staff member was wiser and sent housekeeping to replace can opener. When I asked day staff for printout of receipt of stay. Staff said it would be emailed. A simple yes/no should be the answer. Breakfast selection much to be desired and practically the same daily. Good location but concierge staff may need better training for customer service interaction. Housekeeping staff were great and responsive.

The hotel was in a great location, close to shopping, excellent dining options and convenience stores. The hotel itself was clean and stylish. It offered a yummy breakfast each morning, and the staff were super kind and helpful! It had a clean and well-furnished workout room and nice washers and dryers to wash your clothes during a long trip! Highly recommend!

Overall very good!! Only hiccup would be the breakfast service. Service was poor, very low pace and not very well attended. Food came in small batches not sufficient to cover the whole line of guests waiting in line. My stay was during the week, i cannot imagine how crowded would be during weekends.

We often stay at the Hilton Garden Inn adjacent to the Metro Station. Home2 Suites Hilton was cheaper and offered breakfast - and a short walk to the CTA station. After reading some of the reviews, I was expecting possible problems- that never occurred! The breakfast was especially nice to have every morning. The pre-made breakfast sandwiches and omelets were delicious. I liked having many other breakfast options, as well. It was nice to have the kitchenette in our room. Everyone we spoke to was very personable and professional. We will certainly return!

Public bathroom that is on the main floor only had 1 out of 3 stalls working. It took 15 minutes to use. The elevators were so slow, you waited forever and could only have 6 people max or they’d break down. Breakfast was horrible, there wasn’t enough food to feed the people. My room was large, with a kitchenette. Staff was friendly. Walls were a little thin, as were the towels, but not bad. Internet was terribly slow- down to just 2Mbs at night. I'd stay agian.
