The hotel was adequate. The room was comfortable enough, it was as clean as it needed to be, and check in/check out was fairly hassle free. The website advertised having a car park on site- there is one but the entryway is extremely narrow (under an inch of clearance on either side of our car) and spaces are very limited for the size of hotel. They have a deal with the Bon Accord centre so park there- it's cheaper and you won't lose the paint off the side of your car. They gym is small and not terribly well-equipped- there is no water available so bring your own.

Great location in city centre. On site parking-VERY tight entrance, payable at hotel. Comfortable room, can elect no room service if you don’t need it which is good. In hotel Chop House restaurant had good menu, service and atmosphere. Spa and massage was excellent. Gym room very quiet and adequate equipment.

Enjoyed our one night stay, first time we have visited and we will be back. Close to amenities but parking was a slight issue (car park entrance/exit very narrow and very little space to manoeuvre if all spaces taken) ended up some distance away as had no idea where else to park. Front desk explained about overflow parking at check in which would have been good to know beforehand. It didn’t affect our stay and we will be back and would recommend. Rooms spacious and clean, beds comfortable.

The Sandman Signature is a good place to stay in the middle of aberdeen, the rooms are comfortable, food excellent, the parking area exit is a bit tight, but that is because cars are getting wider!

I've been staying here for years now but feel the quality of cleanliness in the rooms has severely dropped. In the room I was staying in: • the kitchen sink still had water lying in it and water marks. • there was spilled milk in the fridge door that had clearly been there a while. • there was marks in the bottom of the toilet. • the hand soap in the bathroom was empty. • there were crumbs and hairs in the hairdryer well of the desk. • there was dust on the bed-side lights.

Room was dirty. Dried toothpaste in the bathroom glass. Dried vomit under the toilet rim. Not hoovered in the bedroom. No parking left and hard to find. Hotel could be nice but housekeeping needs replaced. I would have said, but I wasn't asked.

Nicely located hotel. Walking distance from the main shopping street and several malls. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, enough different options for everybody. We had a twin room. Wich was spacious. The beds were comfortable. There was no airconditioning and leaving the window open wasn't an option because of traffic noise. For the price point I found the cleanliness lacking. The bathroom had dirty tiles and the sick had a little bit of mold in the corners. Nothing too shocking, but for what we paid I expected a clean bathroom. Overall a nice hotel.

We stayed in a King room with sofa bed, levels of cleanliness in the room were particularly poor, tables tops not very clean bathroom not very clean, dusty light fittings. The bottle of hand soap was completely empty, there was a big hole in the hand towel. Unsurprising that the room is so dirty given that it is so dark, it must be difficult for the cleaners to see what they are doing. Very industrial feel to the room with high ceilings, exposed pipework and very dimmed lighting, I found it depressing and didnt want to spend much time in the room at all. The staff made up for the room, reception is lovely and the bar staff were very friendly and attentive, we had some lovely cocktails before heading out to the theatre. Breakfast was well organised, plenty to choose from and again staff were very helpful and welcoming.

The hotel lobby looked nice and the front desk staff was friendly. Unfortunately, the room was not clean. There were dead bugs on the windowsill, hair and mildew in the bathroom, TOENAIL CLIPPINGS on bathroom floor and the tea cupps had been used by previous occupants and not cleaned/replaced lots of dust and dinge throughout the room.' The room was VERY hot no air conditioning and only one small window. as staff member even said "wow, it's hot in here." when dropping off room service. We were on the 3rd floor, but it was hotter in the room than the hallway, like the heat was on in the room. We had a bad experience with the hotel restaurant as well. we came in for a late dinner after confirming with front desk and restarant staff that they were still serving. We were completely ignored by staff, had to ask if we could seat ourselves, asked someone else for menus. they gave us the room service menu, tried to order form bartender and he turned his back on us. So we left and went back to the room called room service. they would not answer the phone so we called front desk who had to leave the desk and track down restaurant staff. placed same order but had to pay room service fees on top.

The “Corporate Suite” was filthy. Minimal lighting couldn’t hide the greasy, dirty backsplash and cupboard handles, dirty hand marks on the walls, grunge on the window sill and curtain bottoms, crumbs etc on the carpet, stains on the couch, dust/grime on the bedside glass lights. There was no stopper in the kitchenette sink, no dish towel, and it took 2 requests to get both. The suite was ridiculously huge, with one small window at the bedroom end. We had to have both fans that were provided running, and jack the door open with the very small rubbish bin, in order to get any air through. No evidence of any recycling. Litter in the entrance. All in all, one of the worst rooms/suites we’ve ever stayed in. The front desk staff were pleasant and helpful, and the shower was good, though there was a sour, BO smell in the bathroom.

The room I stayed in was excellent. Very large with kitchen facilities and a sofa too. The room and hotel was very modern and the staff very helpful. There are multiple parking options so if your car is quite wide, park away from the main hotel itself because the entry was is very tight.

Nice room and good to see it contained an ironing board and iron and a microwave and a fridge. I did not use any of them but it was good to know for future stays. Great looking lobby and good breakfast. Close to city centre amenities albeit at a slight remove.

Great room apart from the temperature. Very hot, no heating was on, had to open windows and then it was very noisy. Breakfast was standard, nothing very special. Limited cereal choices which was surprising. Tried to contact reception due to hairdryer issue and heat in room. Couldn’t get anyone, had to call room service who were then to contact reception.. 30 mins later still waiting!

Lovely hotel, great staff, fantastic whisky bar and perfect location for His Majesty's Theatre about five minutes walk away. Very clean, comfy bed, spacious shower and good WiFi. Highly recommended.

Too hot! In desperate need of air conditioning (who knew there were hotels that didn’t have it). It was only 20 degrees outside but due to small window openings the room was very hot. 2 fans were provided so that says it all. Friendly staff but breakfast was underwhelming (lots of sausage) and room was a bit dusty and reported blown light bulb was not replaced during my stay of 3 days That said, great location for exploring the city and very comfortable bed which I slept well in. But wouldn’t stay again due to heat.

No person to assist with luggage at check in and check out. This property offers room service on request and no offers of refills or towels in between. Front staff complained of understaffing and being fully booked at all times. Breakfast was great as was their restaurant staff. Front desk appears tired and overworked. The rooms are nice. The bar staff are good when staffed properly. The food is good. The front desk staff need training on customer service. They do not understand the concept of customer service. They don't understand what it takes to improve the customer experience. This is just poor leadership with the front desk staff. This is a consistent issue that I have observed on multiple stays. Other than that, good hotel.

The hotel lobby looked nice and the front desk staff was friendly. Unfortunately, the room was not clean. There were dead bugs on the windowsill, hair and mildew in the bathroom, TOENAIL CLIPPINGS on bathroom floor and the tea cupps had been used by previous occupants and not cleaned/replaced lots of dust and dinge throughout the room.' The room was VERY hot no air conditioning and only one small window. as staff member even said "wow, it's hot in here." when dropping off room service. We were on the 3rd floor, but it was hotter in the room than the hallway, like the heat was on in the room. We had a bad experience with the hotel restaurant as well. we came in for a late dinner after confirming with front desk and restarant staff that they were still serving. We were completely ignored by staff, had to ask if we could seat ourselves, asked someone else for menus. they gave us the room service menu, tried to order form bartender and he turned his back on us. So we left and went back to the room called room service. they would not answer the phone so we called front desk who had to leave the desk and track down restaurant staff. placed same order but had to pay room service fees on top.

Was charged for the room but was told the card had been declined despite showing “approved” on the card machine and the receipt which said “thank you for your payment”. Was asked to try again and the same thing happened again. This isn’t the staffs fault at all but to be honest the way the staff member who was asked to help the staff member that was originally dealing with us (who wasn’t sure what was happening and asked for assistance) made the situation extremely embarrassing for us by repeatedly saying the words declined and failed. That might not be embarrassing for some people but for someone who doesn’t like attention it felt like everyone was watching us. Turns out we were charged twice, luckily we used a credit card and the second payment was blocked by the bank. Obviously this wasn’t the best start and the worry of the thought of having to spend Monday on the phone to the bank didn’t really allow for what was meant to be a relaxing few days away for my partners birthday. Secondly the heat in the hotel is absolutely unbelievable, I have no idea where the heat is coming from being in Aberdeen but it was unbearable. Two fans were required just to be able to sleep. There were multiple other rooms who had the same problem clearly as chairs were being used to hold open the doors. No radiators were on, the window was open and two fans on and the room was still stifling hot. Note the temperature was 18/19C at most throughout the day. Very disappointing for the price.

Just a quick one night stay as I was passing through Aberdeen. Hotel is in a good location about 10 minutes walk from the train station. Really nice decor inside the hotel, rooms were very comfortable and the bar area was great.

The hotel has an old style but numerous modern touches. 12 foot ceilings, but new technology and freshly redone. Bed was comfortable, and room was cozy. Easily walkable to Bon Accord and Union Square and lots of coffee shop and restaurant options nearby. Really enjoyed our stay in Aberdeen.

The room temperature was so uncomfortable (even with two fans) we opted to stay out of it as much as possible. No choice but to sleep there. The gym equipment wasn't clean and there were no cleaning products available to santise as it suggested. Breakfast was a huge disappointment for the price. Most of the hot plate food was cold and not edible. Ended up having yoghurt instead. Which works out pretty expensive for what you eat! This was a special trip for my daughter and I. For the money spent - it was a huge let down.

The spa was closed, this was not communicated at any point and when I was informed at reception, there was no real apology, only a question of what time I wanted breakfast. I do not like to leave negative reviews, but the lack of concern was damning.

Mostly spotless room apart from glass light by bed that had not been dusted in ages. Too hot in the night as duvets are so thick and pillows are cheap for property. Staff are lovely and helpful. Bar staff and offerings are also very good.

Beautiful hotel, good amenities, room was to a good standard, however the room was incredibly hot with zero air conditioning and when opening the window it was really noisy due to a busy road, didn’t make for a good sleep experience.
