The location was fantastic. We had a beautiful view of the opera house and we’re in walking distance to everything we wanted to see. The parking was close and our hotel provided a pass for the zone restrictions and told us exactly what parking lot to go to. Very convenient!

The location cannot be better. The room was very comfortable with a nice lateral scenery of Teatro Massimo. The 2 balconies doors are 100% noise free. But we were surprised, and I blame Hotels.com and not the hotel for not highlighting that: 1-The hotel has no lobby or any sitting areas. Much needed when partners have different morning sleeping patterns. 2-No 24hr reception but compensated by an all time whatsapp communication and valued guidance. 3-No concierge. 4-And no in-house breakfast resto. We were offered B/F at an adjascent street-cafe. A low-cost basic B/F whereby fried eggs is a payable extra!!! . Not matching at all with the fares we paid. The rooftop dinner resto is a top recommendation. A bit expensive but worth it.

Understand that this is not a hotel. They are service apartments. There is no parki g AT hotel. It is a few blocks away and initially hard to find. After a long flught and treacherous driving in from the airport it was frusturating not to be able to find the place. It is immediately behind the Sephora. Need to make an appointment to check in and there is a fee after 7 pm. Very private and right in the center of things. Friendly staff

This is a nice apartment! Not a hotel room! Dont expect to have hotel areas! We were well welcomed by the cleaning lady! Friendly staff and modern apartment. Air conditioning didnt have cooling power! There is no place to stay and wait…. We needed to wait for our car and had to leave the property!

Palazzo Sovrana in Palermo was our favourite place to stay in all of Sicily. We were given a beautiful, spacious and well appointed apartment with a stunning view of Teatro Massimo. Couldn’t ask for a better location. Great bed, great bathroom and great kitchen. Lots of nice art everywhere. Top quality, luxurious furnishings. Surprisingly quiet with the double glazed glass doors shut at night, despite the extremely busy and popular area. Parking lot not too far away (25 euro per night). Excellent restaurant Doba on the top floor with a brilliant five course degustation menu of modern Sicilian cuisine (the chef was an absolute delight to meet). While this is a serviced apartment rather than a traditional hotel, we couldn’t recommend it highly enough and would love to come back one day to hang out in Palermo.

Two couples traveling to Sicily for first time, we found the “in”spot to stay in Palermo. Literally across the street from the beautiful Massimo Theater that is the starting point for action in several tour books, the hotel offered excellen staff (although these are apartment hotel rooms and staff only physically there a few hours a day), good sized clean room, and terrific location to see the heart of Zplaermo. Rooftop dinner at Doba with great meal and view to die for. The negatives: 1. Literally in the heart of the action and with (yum!) an international gelato festival going on 30 yards away, hectic and noisy- luckily shutters on windows kept out most noise. Fun but busy. 2.Difficult driving in pedestrian-busy one way areas Overall, very much enjoyed.

Upgraded our room on arrival. Room was large, well appointed. Had 3 balconies with fantastic view of theatre. Only complaint is they have many tall beautiful windows, but no blackout curtains. It was like daylight in our room with all the street lights. They allowed us to checkout late to accommodate our afternoon flight. Breakfast was very hectic. It was at a small cafe nearby that was totally crowded. There were no tables to sit at, difficult to order as no one spoke English. I think you only get croissant and coffee. Taxis cannot come direct there so you will have to walk a little.

What a great place to stay friendly staff , they set up a great ride from the airport , the cleanest room I’ve ever stayed in, location perfect so many food destinations around & the staff texted us a list of the best oh and the restaurant on the fourth floor was amazing , so many attractions all within walking distance.

The room was outstanding. Roomy, well furnished, and comfortable. The building is directly across from the Opera House and close to many food options and local attractions. Make sure that you close the shutters at night because the square in front of the Opera House attracts a lot of people late into the evening. The free breakfast across the street at the excellent cafe was a bonus.

These are apartments opposite the Teatro Massimo - the one we had is on the 2nd floor with a side view from the balcony onto the square. The apartment consists of two connected rooms and bathroom and was well presented. Of particular note is how well the sound-proofing of the windows performed - almost all external noise was eliminated. This area of Palermo is pedestrianised and gives access to the Old Section of town as well as a wide variety of shops and restaurants. There is off-site parking (600m) charged at €25/day. The owners Paola and Fillippo are very conscientious and helpful - much of this communication is done via WhatsApp which works well. We would thoroughly recommend this property for couples wanting to stay in the centre of Palermo - whether any of the apartments suit families would need verification.

Palazzo So rana has and excellent location. You can walk to all important areas & restaurants from here. The size of the room Is fabulous. Loved the convenience of having breakfast & cappuccinos next door. Only problem is the noise on Friday & Saturday nights on the Main Street until midnight. The rooms have great shutters so you w need to shut them to block out noise. Otherwise wonderful poroperty w roof top restaurant.

The room is bright and specious with a separate kitchen. It’s very nice to come back to after a day of exploring Palermo. We had two balconies to sit on that face the opera. Lovely to sit on with a glass of wine or coffe and watch people go by. It’s a great location in the heart of everything. But if you are in Palermo for a good night sleep the location might be less ideal as it is very noisy from the party goers in the street until the early hours. Bring ear plugs !

A fabulous place to stay right in the centre of town. Filippo was a great host and made sure everything was right for us during our 2 night stay. Highly recommended! We got a from the airport but got the train back which was inexpensive but slightly longer than the taxi! The property was an easy flat, pedestrianised walk away - around 20 mins.

What a great place to stay friendly staff , they set up a great ride from the airport , the cleanest room I’ve ever stayed in, location perfect so many food destinations around & the staff texted us a list of the best oh and the restaurant on the fourth floor was amazing , so many attractions all within walking distance.

Great location, minimum service, room very different than the pictures shown on reservation web site. The hotel demands deposit upon reservation but does not acknowledge their receipt of the deposit. If you are asked to pay deposit, be very careful. Upon check in, I had issue with this deposit and the receptionist seemed more eager to go to her lunch than helping customers. Even though my reservation recorded clearly shows a deposit had been paid, She keep insisting that Expedia took the deposit and she only work there and this is not her business. Eventually, I just gave up and paid the full amount. Upon returning home, I will dispute this charge and let American Express deal with their management which I hope will do something about this.

Great spot - very close to everything in the old town, spacious, and quiet in the rooms. The staff was a little obnoxious during check in - messaging me several times a day to ask the exact time I was getting in despite me telling them over and over again that I didn't know an exact time. I would've appreciated more flexibility here, as it made traveling feel stressful and I had already told them that I didn't know an exact time. Room could have used an iron and a bigger space to put away my luggage and items. Other than that, the stay was comfortable and nice.

After reading the many excellent reviews it was a no brainer, but was still a bit skeptical with the no reception but gave it a try regardless and so glad we did! We were welcomed by Filippo and Laura who also scheduled the car service to pick us up at the airport. They welcomed us as if we’re family❤️❤️. The place is spot clean, crisp linen, marble floors, updated everything and with the front view of Teatro Massimo. The doors to the balconies are sound proof, we loved opening them so we can hear the people passing by, the music etc but once closed there was no sound at all…amazing. AC works like a charm and daily housekeeping service was a plus. Palazzo Sovrana is in the middle of the action. We walked everywhere even to CitySea, the wharf (Molo in Italian). Doba, the restaurant up in the roof is also a must and chef Bacile is superb! If you are looking for an amazing place to stay, look no further, this is the place. They also give you vouchers for breakfast in the cafe right in front. This was our first time in Palermo and can wait to come back and stay at Palazzo Sovrana. Understand that this is not a hotel. They are service apartments. There is no parki g AT hotel. It is a few blocks away and initially hard to find. After a long flught and treacherous driving in from the airport it was frusturating not to be able to find the place. It is immediately behind the Sephora. The location was fantastic. We had a beautiful view of the opera house and we’re in walking distance to everything we wanted to see. The parking was close and our hotel provided a pass for the zone restrictions and told us exactly what parking lot to go to. Very convenient!

Palazzo So rana has and excellent location. You can walk to all important areas & restaurants from here. The size of the room Is fabulous. Loved the convenience of having breakfast & cappuccinos next door. Only problem is the noise on Friday & Saturday nights on the Main Street until midnight. The rooms have great shutters so you w need to shut them to block out noise. Otherwise wonderful poroperty w roof top restaurant.

The room is bright and specious with a separate kitchen. It’s very nice to come back to after a day of exploring Palermo. We had two balconies to sit on that face the opera. Lovely to sit on with a glass of wine or coffe and watch people go by. It’s a great location in the heart of everything. But if you are in Palermo for a good night sleep the location might be less ideal as it is very noisy from the party goers in the street until the early hours. Bring ear plugs !

Palazzo Sovrana in Palermo was our favourite place to stay in all of Sicily. We were given a beautiful, spacious and well appointed apartment with a stunning view of Teatro Massimo. Couldn’t ask for a better location. Great bed, great bathroom and great kitchen. Lots of nice art everywhere. Top quality, luxurious furnishings. Surprisingly quiet with the double glazed glass doors shut at night, despite the extremely busy and popular area. Parking lot not too far away (25 euro per night). Excellent restaurant Doba on the top floor with a brilliant five course degustation menu of modern Sicilian cuisine (the chef was an absolute delight to meet). While this is a serviced apartment rather than a traditional hotel, we couldn’t recommend it highly enough and would love to come back one day to hang out in Palermo.

Two couples traveling to Sicily for first time, we found the “in”spot to stay in Palermo. Literally across the street from the beautiful Massimo Theater that is the starting point for action in several tour books, the hotel offered excellen staff (although these are apartment hotel rooms and staff only physically there a few hours a day), good sized clean room, and terrific location to see the heart of Zplaermo. Rooftop dinner at Doba with great meal and view to die for. The negatives: 1. Literally in the heart of the action and with (yum!) an international gelato festival going on 30 yards away, hectic and noisy- luckily shutters on windows kept out most noise. Fun but busy. 2.Difficult driving in pedestrian-busy one way areas Overall, very much enjoyed.

Upgraded our room on arrival. Room was large, well appointed. Had 3 balconies with fantastic view of theatre. Only complaint is they have many tall beautiful windows, but no blackout curtains. It was like daylight in our room with all the street lights. They allowed us to checkout late to accommodate our afternoon flight. Breakfast was very hectic. It was at a small cafe nearby that was totally crowded. There were no tables to sit at, difficult to order as no one spoke English. I think you only get croissant and coffee. Taxis cannot come direct there so you will have to walk a little.

We loved our stay at Palazzo Sovrana! Our room, 201, was beautifully designed modern and new. Fantastic shower and very comfortable bed. It is perfectly located across from the Teatro Massimo and right in front is a pedestrian street ! So no busy traffic or cars to worry. Having a mini kitchen was very helpful for making coffee in the morning and having a place to store food for snacks. On the roof top floor, there is a wonderful viewpoint affiliated with an amazing restaurant, DoBa ! We enjoyed meeting Chef Dominico and his wife (co-owner of bldg), Paola. They are very dear and the dinner was spectacular. Truly a gem within Palermo.

The location cannot be better. The room was very comfortable with a nice lateral scenery of Teatro Massimo. The 2 balconies doors are 100% noise free. But we were surprised, and I blame Hotels.com and not the hotel for not highlighting that: 1-The hotel has no lobby or any sitting areas. Much needed when partners have different morning sleeping patterns. 2-No 24hr reception but compensated by an all time whatsapp communication and valued guidance. 3-No concierge. 4-And no in-house breakfast resto. We were offered B/F at an adjascent street-cafe. A low-cost basic B/F whereby fried eggs is a payable extra!!! . Not matching at all with the fares we paid. The rooftop dinner resto is a top recommendation. A bit expensive but worth it.

Our stay was on the tail end of a 21 day motorcycle trip so we were EXTREMELY upset and disappointed to find out that the laundry facilities that were listed as an amenity did not exist. We had 2 weeks of clothes to launder and nothing clean. After finding a laundromat and doing the washing there, we finished up just in time for the cory to shut down for siesta. So we basically missed out on seeing the city Our 1 day in the city was wasted because of a false. we tried to use the in room hot tub, but there wasn't sufficient water flow from the taps to fill it We also found the communication from the hotel to be inconsistent because as it turns out, it isn't a full service hotel. This became a bigger problem when we ran out of toilet paper in the room after 9pm, and no one was around to drop off refills. A note- the breakfast vouchers they gave us for breakfast did not cover the cost of an actual meal and a coffee. Also the photos show a balcony staged with a table fore two in reality it was only big enough for two pigeons, NO table would fit there. if you book a room facing the theatre, the street lights are at window level and don't turn off at night. Pretty dissatisfied.

A nice property. Spacious. Missing a few small finishing touches (Glasses & Wine Glasses). The breakfast (a cafe next door) is average and boring. Central Location means the sounds of people and activities can be heard up till midnight before things settle. Airport transfer didn't work out as planned. This wasn’t actually a hotel, which I failed to realize. It’s an apartment building right in the old town. The location was right in the middle of everything and the apartment was very spacious. Since we were only staying one night I think a more traditional hotel with a lobby and staff would have worked better for us. There is also no parking at the apartment. There is a paid parking lot a few blocks away. You need to park and lug your luggage over stone streets. I imagine this could be a problem for some people.
