Leonardo Royal Hotel Venice Mestre

Close to train station so going back and forth to Venice was very easy.

Small room, but clean and well equipped. They put us on the top floor, but the elevators were fast and modern. The hotel is very close to the train/bus depot which was only a 10 min ride to the islands of Venice. While we could hear the trains passing by all night, the noise levels were manageable. The breakfast buffet was average, but adequate. The roads outside the hotel were very busy, noisy, and at times dangerous. It was not uncommon to see cars and buses going 40-60 mph around pedestrians. The best aspect of the Leonardo was easily the staff. They were all very kind, courteous, and helpful.
