Tropical Garden Hotel

Lo recomiendo mucho, el apartamento estaba cómodo y bien equipado con utensilios y electrodomésticos, está limpio y las áreas comunes son muy agradables.

This place is very tidy and safe and is right smack in the middle of Jaco. The gates and security is excellent so you don't have to worry about your car or stuff. 2 minute walk to beach and no noise at night. The stores and restaurants are about a 30 second walk. The grounds are very well kept and have beautiful Flora. Staff is very nice and are always there to help. The pool is really nice. It's not over fancy and super luxurious but it won't disappoint. I think it's a hidden gem in Jaco. Will stay there again if I ever go back.

Great location and just down the same street located on the beach is the restaurant Coco's. The garden area is beautiful. The pool is a nice hang with a covered area that has a pool table and grill. It's a simple check in and out. Just have to use WhatsApp.

El hospedaje está excelente. La habitación impecable de limpia, full A/A, las camas confortables, sabanas, edredón, almohadas, toallas, todo de muy buena calidad y confort. Cocina equipada con lo mínimo, pero suficiente para preparar algunas comidas. Las areas comunes agradables y completas. No usamos pero tienen cocina en el rancho, BBQ, etc. La piscina deliciosa, de buen tamaño y con muchas sillas donde acostarse. La única observación del area de piscina es que el piso alrededor no es de exteriores, mucho menos de piscina y por ende se calienta exageradamente, haciendo bien incomodo caminar ahi. Tanto como para que lo mencione. La ubicación no podría ser mejor!!! A 50 mts de la playa y a 50 mts de la calle principal de Jacó, literalmente a pocos pasos de restaurantes, heladerias, supermercados, tiendas. Regresaría 100%

A lovely place to stay in Jaco! Right amount of space for a comfortable stay. Good air conditioning, great location that wasn't too loud but still walkable to everything in Jaco as well as the beach. Great pool, hot water for showers. No complaints at all. Would stay again!

The people who work here are wonderful and helpful. Today as I was leaving, a workman there helped me by taking my walker down two treacherous steps and loading my junk in the rental car. The two steep steps leading into the unit need a ramp that can be put over the steps for walkers or wheelchairs. This is true for the steps to the pool, as well. Car parking is behind locked gates and beach access is too. Keys are given to clientele so there is no problem with safety or egress. This is a great site! The tropical birds are not shy in the morning and their songs can either gently wake you up or soothe you right back to sleep!

The garden is absolutely beautiful. On the first day, we took at least pictures of 10 kinds of birds. The water of the pool is warm and very well maintain. The room is very clean. The only problem is there are no hooks or bars in the room and bath room to hang towers and clothes. I also would like to have shampoo.

Parking was secure in a locked gate. We didn’t have a key to our gate as we were in overflow. We found the attendant to get out. Backing out was very tight but most places are in Costa Rica. Nice location. You can walk everywhere. The grounds are nice. Lots of iguanas and and birds. Loud fire works late and into the morning on Saturday. Sunday was a quieter sleep. Beds were comfortable.

The room was very clean. The staff was pleasant, friendly, and supportive.

Challenges for prospective visitors: There are probably good reasons for no-cancel and extra person charge policies in a "party town", but for a family with adult kids, having booked in a hurry based on the displayed daily rate, getting charged extra for a fourth person on a room that sleeps 6 felt like we'd been misled. Check-in: pre-arrival comms on timing had us a little concerned we wouldn't have someone to check us in. We did not get any response to our outreach to confirm that someone would be there to receive us later than the office was open, but the custodian did meet us when we arrived. The property is on an alley that has a surprising amount of foot and vehicle of traffic, some noise early to late, more on the weekends. There is a gate to the beach at the end of the alley that is unlocked during the day, another hotel and a busy restaurant between the property and the beach. One area between cabanas, on the alley, seemed be being used for work: tree wreckage, several garbage bags piled up. Workmanship of the updates is rough --one ceiling fan/light did not work (we were told on check in), loose outlet mountings-- safety worries. Just one working burner on stovetop, pots and pans were in rough shape -- hard to use. Good: rooms nicely re-designed. Overall, garden grounds, pool area beautiful, some, wildlife, secure compound, parking inside gates, locked after 6. The only place we found that had separate rooms for the beds, a 300 yrd walk to beach.

This was a nice and affordable place to stay in Jaco. There is a security gate that locks for entry into the parking area and hotel compound, so you can rest assured that your vehicle will not be tampered with. The location was convenient, about a half block from the main strip of the city and also the beach. Comfortable bed, nice appliances and shower. I would stay there agin.

The lighting was terrible in my unit.The main room of my two bedroom unit had no light.At night,i just got use to a dark room.I mentioned it to the staff and they just smiled and walked away.They have made some renovations but it is an old tired property

Très bon rapport qualité-prix pour le secteur. L’hôtel est situé à proximité de la plage et de toutes les commodités, ce qui est très appréciable. Le seul petit reproche, mais cela reste personnel, concerne les matelas : ils sont beaucoup trop mous à mon goût.

Terrible!!!! Llegamos y la recepción a las 3:30pm estaba cerrada. No había absolutamente nadie.” Pegando gritos” salió un jardinero. Hizo una llamada y como 30 min después nos dio la llave de la habitación y se fue. En la tarde nos dimos cuenta que no había gas para cocinar, y sorpresa, NADIE nos contestó llamadas ni WhatsApp (1 hora llamando y escribiendo desde las 6pm hasta las 7pm) y NADIE contestó. No habían más huéspedes solo nosotros y NADIE que nos atendiera. No había gas, algunos tomas no servían, la piscina no funcionó desde que llegamos y menos en la noche, todo oscuro y sin luz. Simplemente nos dieron una llave para estar ahí sin poder disfrutar de lo que ofrecían. A esta fecha nadie se ha comunicado conmigo, nadie se ha disculpado y nadie me atendió.

I booked a hotel onhotel.com and when we got to the hotel to check in, there was no one there. The office was closed and there was no way to contact anybody to get our room. I’m also deeply aggravated with hotels.com. They did not help me out with refunding my money.

We arrived very late and still got the keys to check in to our room. The security guard Luis was really kind and helpful every time we had questions. The property is quiet and safe.

I was very happy with my stay at the Tropical Garden. I stayed 9 days and loved every min. Easy access to the beach food and shopping. Nice safe environment between the town and the beach. Definitely recommend.

Right in the middle of downtown Jaco and literary on the beachfront. No car needed! there is an entire strip of stores just at the junction so I spent most nights walking there to stroll and get good food.
