The continental breakfast was excellent. All self service, but freshly boiled eggs, ham, cheese, cereals, etc, all freely available and nicely presented. Well done! As a solo traveller I was given a spacious triple room with a double and single beds to choose from. The double mattress was not too bad but had dips both sides, and the bedlinen I could smell all night as musty and not fresh. I had a very brief glimpse and exchange with the owner (I think!) at breakfast, otherwise saw no other staff.

A hidden gem in East Belfast. I have driven past this establishment many times and decided to chose it as it was close to Belfast City Airport. And I had sold my house as I was moving abroad to retire and needed a short term place to stay. The B&B is clean, rooms are warm and comfortable as are the beds, hot shower was always available in the morning and although the breakfast is continental it does set you up for the day. Thoroughly enjoyable stay would highly recommend

I’ve read the other reviews and don’t know how in the world this place gets a 5 star rating. The grounds are very unkept and the rooms are dated and not very clean or comfortable.

Room was spotlessly clean. Staff were very attentive when we saw them but didnt see much of them. Breakfast was disappointing if you want anything traditionally irish. It was nice enough but mostly from tesco. Enjoyed a boiled egg and croissant. Easy check in and out process. Buses nearby. Near to a park and local shop and fish and chip shop. Shower lovely.

Excellent accommodation, very clean , comfortable , all mod cons and convenient to town.Good continental breakfast . Great communication with hosts , friendly welcoming , helpful and efficient. Nice quiet location.

The B&B were very accommodating as we needed to check in early as we were travelling during the night to see my mum who was ill in hospital. The only thing wrong was the bed was very hard and left us with aches in the morning.

This was great for what we needed. We booked this because it was so close to the airport and we had an early flight to catch. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good. We didn't eat breakfast so I can't comment on that.

Very Cozy room and area, but toilet and bathroom not really working/stable. You need to be careful in the shower as not to make it fall off the wall. But very nice and friendly staff and nice and cozy atmosphere makes it a nice stay!

My stay was short but very convenient location to get to and from airport in a short period of time. Only thing I didn’t enjoy as much was the fact that walls were thin and I could hear to my next door neighbors business.

Lovely accommodation, clean and quiet. Breakfast was plentiful and given several choices. Bedroom roomy and bathroom very large with fantastic shower and bath. Host very pleasant and friendly. Two very small notes, and not quibbles, a small mobile mirror to enable drying hair and perhaps another extension for plugs near bedside table. Would certainly recommend this accommodation ☺️

Very cozy and very nice place. But our toilet wasn’t always functioning and the ventilation in the bathroom not properly in order and the rack that Held the shower was loose which made us afraid things would fall down… But overall A nice place and we were met by a very nice caretaker with good service so overall good - but the rooms should be checked and some hooka for the clothes would be nice (since it’s raining a bit a place to hang the clothes to dry up would help.

Very comfortable stay and very close to the airport and train station. The walls are on the thin side though, so I was woken up by my neighbors at 4am on one of my nights there :(

Nice room. Smelt a bit weird I’ll be honest. Toilet seat was slightly broken. Heating didn’t work sadly. Area is nice and quiet however, and they serve breakfast which I didn’t end up eating but nice of them. Nice place overall.

the Manager of the BB. was very helpful as I got many troubles with the broker because of a mistakenly done double booking. Anyway he was regadings all issues steady reachable and very helpful altough he had as employee much much stress. JM Andre

Did not find the the owner Michael friendly I had to ask all the questions I did get a very spacious room No 2 which had a one double bed and a single bed I found the room cold I had to take covers of the single bed to but on my double bed to keep myself warm I was also woken at 3-30am in the morning with the noise from room 3 from people talking loud I relation to breakfast it was contentail Michael told me to help myself he just went off and and even did not come around the breakfast Rommel to see did I require any assistance Over all I will not be returning or recommending this B&B to my friends

My niece stayed here for one night, whilst she was awaiting her connecting flight. I made the b&b owner aware that it was her first time travelling by herself, and they were so lovely and supportive. Definitely recommend! Though she only spent a few hours, she enjoyed her stay.

Absolutely loved our stay here. Michael was fabulous - looked after us. Short walk to the train station to get into the city - £2.00 off-peak return on the train. Nice size room; bathroom clean & tidy. Good value for money. Make sure you ask Michael for poached eggs!

Our experience at Ashfield Bed and Breakfast was great. The owners and staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable and quiet, We enjoyed breakfast each morning and appreciated quick access to public transportation along with quick service from local taxis and Ubers.

This is the best B&B so far. I usally wait tell the end of the trip to do my reveiws but as im sitting here in a more expensive place but without the feel good vibes i had to write it. The welcome we received was bright and cheery. Then as we had found we wanted to stay for another couple of days we were encouraged to stay. The breakfast in the morning is fresh and hearty and the company is entertaining. Also the city center is a comfortable hour walk away or 10 minutes by cab. If u walk u wont be disapointed there are beautiful veiws along the way. Dont miss out on this must stay B&B!

Cleanliness is important to me regardless of star rating. It ticked all boxes there. I was pleased to see a hair dryer was provided as I didn’t want to buy one just to match the difference in power points from Australia to UK. There is no power point in bathroom so I had to plug dryer into another outlet near tv. But that was no big deal and not really a complaint either. Breakfast is great. I liked the size of bread slices and the yoghurt choice is pretty cool. It is very clean and good water pressure in shower. Thank you Brenda Australia

Whilst the place was conveniently located, the interior was looking very dated. The room we stayed in had a really foisty / damp smell in the bathroom. Breakfast - hmmmm, not sure which continent this continental breakfast was from but very poor, sliced packet ham, sliced packet cheese, sliced white or brown bread, croissant, pain au chocolate and 3 different cereals, very poor selection. Very thin ceilings as could hear every noise from the room upstairs. I guess, for what they charge it is very simple value for 10 minutes from Belfast centre but could easily add s few more items at breakfast - and not use supermarket savers fruit juices!!! On the plus side, if you do stay here or nearby, we would highly recommend that you visit Neills Hill restaurant which is around 7minute drive / taxi, superb food and sevice.
