Overall a great experience! This was our 2nd stay & it did not disappoint. The staff & service were all 5 star. We were even given an upgrade to the view of the Angel of Independence. Staying here definitely was a great way to end our trip in the most relaxing way. Worth every penny! My only compliant would be that the pool titles around the edge of the pool were broken off & the buttons for the jets & water fountain didn't work - other than that the hotel is in great condition

Beautiful property in a great part of town. I would definitely stay here again. Throughout the property there are beautiful 360 degree views of Mexico City. I enjoyed the gym and sauna which are included for all hotel guests. I wish the pool hours were better - it opened rather late in the morning and closed an bit early, so it was hard to find time to enjoy. We paid to use the hot tub and steam room, which were nice but honestly I’ve used better spa amenities at other hotels. I’m not sure it was worth 35 dollars to spend a half hour in the hot tub/steam room. The hotel rooftop bar is lovely, and the cocktails and food were delicious. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. Really nice breakfast included. Lovely stay overall.

The buffet breakfast is delicious and extensive. The rooms are large and have amazing bath tubs. Would definitely return to this centrally located hotel and recommend it to everyone.

The pool is completely amazing! Room with the angel of independence view was just fabulous. Rooftop bar has great drinks. Would definitely return and will check out Sofitel in other cities in the future!

Had a great stay at this hotel. The facilities were wonderful, particularly the beautiful pool and rooftop bar. We very much enjoyed the excellent variety at the breakfast buffet. The serving staff there was great. Especially, Diana, Diego, Edgar and Jethro. The Concierge Diego and all the other Concierge staff gave superb recommendations and made us feel very welcome. Thanks to all for the 5-star stay!!

We loved the hotel and had a great stay, the staff was friendly and the food was great. Things they could work on: - the pool is COLD! not great for this time of year and not what we were expecting. - we were on the 25th floor and it was still very noisy. We didn’t get a great night sleep because of outside noise.

Beautiful Hotel, with an amazing rooftop bar, & pool. This hotel is only an 8 min walk to the best bar in the world, according to 50 Best Bars, Handshake Speakeasy. The breakfast that was included for free, had the best French Toast I ever had outside of the US. I had a beautiful room, with a view of the Angel of Mexico, but I felt was if the room with the view wasn’t worth it…. The windows of the hotel were so dirty, I couldn’t take a decent picture of the Angle or the city from my room. Save your money, book a room without the view, & just go up to the rooftop at sunset, for great photos, & decent drinks.

Great location, extremely friendly and helpful staff, good amenities. The rooms are beautiful and full of light. We had a slight issue with cleanliness/maintenance, were our toilet flush turned to this weird dark yellow/brown color, looking like the toilet was flushing sewage water. The food from the breakfast place on the 12th floor was meh and in room dining food was average at best. If you stay there, try the little taco place, Taqueria Gabriel, around the corner. The Ritz and the St. Regis are nicer/better maintained, but also at twice the price. The rest of the stay was great. My gf got food poisoning and the staff sent us a bouquet of flowers.

Great breakfast selection at the club lounge. Very friendly and helpful staff, gave us good recommendations. Concierge helped with reservations at hard to book restaurants. Housekeeping and room condition were ok but could be better. Light switches in our room didn't fully work as expected. We found some debris from the previous guests in the room, and water was not consistently refilled.

This hotel exceeded our expectations in all areas. The rooms had the best layout compared to many other hotels I've stayed at around the world. Staff was attentive and always followed up with concerns. Room amenities were fantastic, extremely clean. Breakfast at Balta was full of choices and again with great service. Bajel was the best restaurant we dined at during our 5 day stay. We also dinned at the 2 star Michelin restaurant Pujol, but Bajel was with no question much better and deserves to get their star.

We received a warm welcome from the staff at Sofitel and we appreciated the recommendations from Gina at the front desk. The spacious and clean room was such a nice retreat to come back to after a long day of exploring. We can’t wait to come back!

Hotel was amazing. Staff was helpful and friendly, room was quite large, and I loved the amenities. The breakfast was lovely. The hotel truly feels like an oasis from the hustle and bustle from the city. I travel quite a bit and stay in a lot of hotels and this hotel is a great value at the price point. I do not think there are other hotels at this quality level at this price point in the area.

The bathroom light of the room could not be turned off. The staff tried to fix it from midnight to 1:00 o’clock we could not sleep. The concierge Diego said that he would send an email offering an upgrade on our next stay, but he said we had to take his word for it….

We loved the hotel and had a great stay, the staff was friendly and the food was great. Things they could work on: - the pool is COLD! not great for this time of year and not what we were expecting. - we were on the 25th floor and it was still very noisy. Stayed for 12 nights. Booked a suite with Club Millesime access. We had a fabulous time. The hotel was indeed a five star property. Our suite was beautiful and well appointed, the staff was wonderful, attentive and so welcoming. I will say what made a great stay an amazing one was the staff of Club Millesime. The morning crew, Natalia, Laura, Luis and Citlali were just so attentive and helpful with advice on what to do around the city. The evening crew as well, Santiago, Sofia, Laura, and Maria. When they found out we were going to a Lucha Libre event they made a little booklet for us with the history of Mexican wrestling and the fight program for that evening. Wow! When they found out it was my birthday both the morning and evening crews went out of their way to celebrate with us. Who does that!? Truly first class service. I have to say this is one of the best experiences we have had. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of visiting Mexico City. The hotel beyond having such bespoke amenities is centrally located and very walkable to the park and surrounding restaurants. We will be staying here again on our next visit.

Bad service. Just to give 2 quick examples, When we arrived after check in time, only 2 of three rooms were ready...we were told the third room would be ready 2 hours later. Additionally, since we had early flights we requested early breakfast for 5am which they confirmed they could provide, it was 5.30 and we were still waiting for breakfast, when we called they sent up a very sorry version of breakfast of two slices of bread, cheese and ham that was pretty obvious was put together in haste. There are so many wonderful options for hotels in Mexico City, based on their service alone, I would note recommend this hotel.

Definitely a beautiful property. The staff however aren’t as attentive as they should be to guests for it being considered a luxury hotel. We were only welcomed back about 2-3 times in the entire time we stayed there, half the time the staff was on their computer and wouldn’t even look up to greet people.

I did not like the Property Transportation system. The Property is closed to outside transportation and Uber and taxi won't go in the property. You are obligated to get the hotel transportation which is 10 times more expensive than the other means

Staff was excellent. Extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel is beautiful and all the dining options are wonderful. Rooftop drinks every day was a guilty pleasure. Pool is gorgeous. This is one of my new favorite hotels!
