A nice hotel for the most part. Breakfast is too pricey so we went elsewhere for that. Problems we had were, our window looked out on the garbage area, even though the glasses in our room had paper covers, one had about a half inch of water in it with stuff floating in it, the bathroom fan did not work. Lastly, we went to use the pool and were told we had to wait an hour as they were hosting swimming lessons? What hotel has swimming lessons at their pool? The pool is supposed to be for the guests.

Hotel itself is very nice. When we got our stuff into the room we went to leave to go get food and our door wouldn’t lock. They were able to fix it right away which is great. When we got back we took a look around and realized there was hair all over the floor, in the shower, on the shampoo and conditioner bottles and there was some pieces of garbage lying around. We paid a lot of money to stay and it wasn’t worth the price for the uncleanliness of our room. We informed them at check out and the manager helped us right away to compensate for the experience we got.

I thought it was a new hotel. It is not. Just refurbished. The sink and tub both drain slow, which is kind of off putting. Room was clean-ish. I would definitely not return. The only bonus - free parking.

Room wasn't cleaned prior. there were used plastic shot glasses scattered around the room. Mini fridge was left open with drinks still inside as well. Also, the window in the room doesn't have a good seal so, room was quite drafty during the poor weather outside.

Professionalism by staff was superb! The hotel was clean, quiet and felt safe. The rooms were modern, very clean, and no noise in the halls or from other rooms could be heard. The beds were so comfortable! I travel for work and will return for my next stay in November. 5 Star!

Not good. Over $300.00 CAD. Awful for that price. Beds are sloped and so squeaky. Not fully uncomfortable but not ideal. Small boxes in room. Staff are pleasant and accommodating so that’s a plus but the toilet was dirty as in someone had used it for a number 2 before we got in this room. Sheets were very perfume smelly on one bed and a pillow as well smelled like someone had used it. Staff came to change bed and clean toilet promptly. Sold out so no room change possible. Again for over $300.00 this is not a good deal.

I had to move rooms twice. the first was a mistake of my own (didn’t realize i booked a handicapped room and was concerned about not having locks on the doors). The second time was because the walls were barely soundproofed. The room I moved to was conjoined, I could hear EVERYTHING from the room next door including the man stomping around, opening and slamming the door shut, his videos playing on his phone, him talking, the shower running, toilet flushing, and even the sound of his chip bag rustling. The lady on the opposite side was coughing like crazy and between the two, i felt like I was going crazy. The hotel could really use to put extra sound proofing in. The final room they moved me to had red stains all over the carpet, and the carpet was overall not very clean and had a musty smell to it. But they moved me to the quiet end of the hallway away from everyone so that was a major bonus. I’ll never understand why all hotels like to crowd people in one spot, not just this one but everyone i’ve been to. I also found the bathrooms were very hard to move around in. Otherwise, it was newly renovated and tidy, Kyra was very kind and accommodating even though the first room switch was a mistake of my own, check in was super quick and easy, and the restaurant food and staff were also very nice. I would return here but would request to be away from everyone else as the soundproofing was terrible.

The good - check in was quick, front desk was friendly, they even hand out cookies as a welcome gift. Room was generally clean. Parking was ample. Not so good - reservation was made for 3 people, only one washcloth provided The bad - you can hear train passing by at 4am and then every hour or so. If you are a light sleeper, then I don’t recommend this location.

Beautiful room, very up to date and modern. Check in was tricky as the desk did not have our reservation made thru Hotels.com, but after 15 minutes it was sorted. Would have been nice to have free wifi without having to sign up for Hilton membership.

I recently stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Kingston in Kingston, Ontario, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. I was placed in a room directly next to the staff workroom, which turned out to be a major issue. The staff were loud, talking on their phones late into the night, and constantly coming and going, causing the door to slam repeatedly. This made it extremely difficult to get any rest. Additionally, my only entrance to the building was through a back alley door, which felt unsafe and degrading. This was not the experience I expected from a Hilton property. To make matters worse, when I attempted to call the front desk to address these issues, no one picked up my calls. I paid full price for my stay, the same as those who were accommodated in the main building, yet I feel I received substandard service and treatment. I sincerely hope this was an accidental oversight and not racially motivated. I trust that Hilton will address these concerns to ensure future guests do not encounter similar issues.

We had to switch rooms 3 times so we were in 4 rooms total. First room had blood/food/makeup on sheets. Second room stunk of cigarettes. Third room smelled of mould. Hotel is recently renovated and beautiful but switching rooms till 1130pm is exhausting. The parking is far from the door of the hotel and is dark and scary for a single woman. Pillows are very soft and neck pain in the am. Bed isn’t the comfiest. Won’t return but the staff are nice

Great location to visit Kingston! Close to some quick meals, gas, grocery and a pharmacy. Only 10 min from downtown, so you can refresh between sight seeing and dinner. Front desk and cleaning staff were very friendly. Wouldn't hesitate to book again if visiting the area.

The staff were great, helpful and efficient. The only issue was the traffic on the street makes it difficult to make a left turn out of the hotel. If you live in a less dense area, it is stressful to have such a steady stream of traffic as you exit the hotel parking. Outside of the hotel's control but an issue nonetheless.
