Second year we stayed here when visiting Chelsea Flower Show - last year we got the heads up that refurbishing works were ongoing - no problem. This year no mention and our room directly facing noisy and dusty works - staff said - just complain!! And no VIP benefits included?? Apart from that hotel and staff are great!

Room very small, and couldn’t see out of the window without standing on the bed. Only one lift in operation during refurbishment works - these have been taking place for over a year ….. Lots of staff congregating outside a side entrance to the hotel, smoking and blocking the pavement while engaging in “animated” conversation.

The location is excellent However the hotel is going under extensive renovations. The construction noise was deafening and so we had to switch rooms. Due to the construction, the restaurant was also closed. We were disappointed that the website did not inform us of this before we booked.

The restaurant was closed and the bar. We were not informed in advance and had arranged to meet family there for early evening drinks which we had to rearrange and no bar for nightcap. I feel that is pretty much what most hotels would have!

Good price for the area. Clean and excellent bedding/bed. Room was teeny— only built for one person (and luckily I was solo). One thing to note, the main lobby closes at midnight so if you come back to the hotel expect to find a locked door and a sign taped to the window pointing you down the street to another entrance. It caught me off guard as there was no signage previously or mention at check in.

The room was pretty grim and builders right outside the window meant needing to close the curtains for privacy which meant no natural light so even darker. The building work, which I wasn’t informed of until after booking and paying in full meant the hotel wasn’t at its cleanest. Great location but really put me off returning.

Clean bathroom lovely bathroom products, look of room nicely decorated but carpet so dirty and mattress needed to be replaced as the side had come away from this stitching or it felt like that !! and the under pillow case were clean but looked dirty as they were very very worn. I think if they changed these few bad points they would definitely get five star.

Renovation was going on just outside our window, which we did not get any prewarning on. Each morning the workers woke us up at 7.30 with drilling in our wall and loud talking standing just outside our window. Another mishap was the last night when after flushing our toilet brown sewage water with debris entered our bathtub and stayed for a long time. We had to clean it up ourselves to be able to take a shower. When complaining in the reception we were told that we would get a 20 % refund. However, this never happened and my e-mail reminding them about this never received any reply.

I have stayed here before and felt that although expensive, it was worth the luxury. However this time, our room was very tired, carpet was badly stained, rust in the bathroom, and chipped paint. The air conditioning did not work at all. I was really disappointed. It is rare for me to complain. I never do it. I think the hotel needs to hear though, that not everyone is ok with spending so much money to be uncomfortable.

I stayed there for 4 nights on a business trip and could barely sleep as the room was on the street and there was traffic all night long. Ok London is expensive but for 400€ a night you would at least except to be able to sleep.

As to breakfast, every day I had to ask for milk to accompany my coffee, and also for preserves to accompany my toast. All in all, rather formulaic and staff going through the motions.

Location is great. Room is smaller than other hotels I have stayed in London. Note that There is no microwave and when I wanted to warm up my dinner that I had bought in a near by market (it was super cold) the person of the front desk was adamant that they didn’t offer microwave or ways of warm up the food. After much insisting for a solution, she transferred me to the restaurant and after signing a form, they warmed up my meal. I didn’t mind signing the form, but I felt that she didn’t want to help me at all when I called for help. Other than that, my stayed was a comfortable one.

Checked in online to supposedly simply collect my keys, pre-authorised my credit card and had to do to all again at the hotel, was offered free breakfast which was a nice touch. Got to my room to find there was no hot water, walked down & flights of stairs to advise reception (no answer when phoning from my room), and was told they knew and were fixing the issue but clearly did not feel it important to mention on check in!

Whilst the room itself was satisfactory - ultimately I have to give this property a poor review. It was advertised as offering a free room upgrade to VIP members and this was denied despite upgrades being available. I even showed the lady on reception my phone with the promise of upgrade - and she bluntly told me you get the room you chose at time of booking. Very disappointed.

Front desk was very nice and helpful, explained everything very clearly. Location is about 3-5min walk from the Sloane tube stop on the district/circle lines and a 15min walk from victoria station - phenomenal location for central london. The beds were the most comfortable I've slept on in ages, and housekeeping was very kind. The building is old, so you definitely hear things like other doors closing when people are around and the elevators are pretty small, but overall, I'd absolutely recommend the place.

Our second time staying at Sloane Place for work purposes - the bedrooms are very comfortable, warm and clean. All the staff were very friendly & helpful. The breakfast options were really good and the food fresh and very tasty - restaurant for dinner was also excellent as well as the food offered in the bar. Highly recommend for the location and level of comfort, service level and standard of food. We will be booking another stay.

Excellent hotel in a quiet, upscale are of Chelsea. Breakfast was made to order with many options and delicious, the staff in the restaurant were friendly and helpful. Excellent lunch/dinner as well. Rooms were very clean. Hotel is a short walk to Chelsea Shops and restaurants, and to the Tube station, taxi stop and buses. Will be back!
