Beautiful property. Quaint, intimate and peaceful. Perfect retreat for work. Note that pool and gy.lm amenities are located next door, at sister property "The Barnett". On-site restaurant only serves breakfast, but sister property has a decent restaurant, as well as other local eats nearby.

Not a cookie cutter hotel-you feel it as soon as you enter the scented lobby with a huge bowl of pistachios. This place is a vibe and an experience in itself. No coffeemakers in the room, but morning drop-offs of thermoses of coffee/tea (and whatever milk you want) as early as you need. All-day $10 honor bar with basic mixers (no simple syrup I could see). Happy hour at 4 with wine and charcuterie. Speakeasy with hidden exit to SalonSalon which has the best whisky sours and elevated bar food. We found the location to be safe and quiet, a 5 minute stroll to Rouse’s Market which has a Starbucks, raw and cooked food, and 20 minutes walk to the French Quarter which made us feel better about the great NOLA meals we enjoyed. Oh, and if you enjoy a nice bubble bath after a long day out, this place still has tubs available!

Wonderful experience staying with Maison De La Luz. I would highly recommend to anyone travelling to New Orleans. We especially loved the afternoon wine and cheese, the cookies and best of all the hidden bar.

Amazing hotel. Beautiful decor, excellent service, great amenities and extras such as complimentary coffee in the morning, chacuterie pre-dinner and cookies post-dinner! Staff are really friendly and helpful too and there's a cool speak-easy bar attached.

This is a beautiful hotel, it has real French charm. Rooms are beautiful, comfy beds. Sheets could be bit softer. Service is great, love the coffee/tea service at your door each morning. Breakfast was delightful. Loved the speakeasy room and love the decor of the bar area. We will be back!

We had the best time! What a charming, gorgeously-decorated boutique hotel! A true feast for the eyes: every design detail - from the art to the lighting in the common spaces & rooms to the arched doorways in the rooms to the tiles and wooden floors, furnishings and rugs - was considered, luxurious, original and cool. I work in design; this places doesn’t look like any other! It is truly original and memorable! Property was spotlessly-clean and well-maintained: housekeeping slipped-in each day and slipped back out without us noticing or being disturbed. Staff was warm and friendly. Vibe was cool and relaxed and comfy

Comfortable is what best describes Maison de La Luz. All areas are very clean and well decorated. The location is good. The room was comfortable, spacious and extremely clean. There’s a happy hour every afternoon with complimentary wine, cheese and grapes and we enjoyed that. Coffee and milk was delivered every morning to our room (the only thing that didn’t happen as expected because we had to call twice for it).

The staff was very nice and helpful. Clean rooms, nice tall ceilings in historic building. Great location. Our only issues were the tv’s. Our volume went in and out and then stopped working. They finally switched us to a different room. Not a huge deal though. I would definitely stay there again. Convenient to trolly and all locations. I really enjoyed that it was a couple of blocks from the large crowds in the tourist areas!

The staff could not have nicer, everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful. The coffee service in the morning was a standout, and little extras like cookies and wine and cheese were very much appreciated. This feels more like a small boutique hotel than one affiliated with a large brand like Hyatt. We would 100% stay again next time we are in NO.

Our room was beautifully appointed and furnished! Every need was met with prompt and friendly service. The hidden speakeasy bar and complementary wine and cheese was not the more usual type of hotel "free" offerings -but top notch wines and cheese boards. The hotel was the highlight of our first visit to New Orleans!

I believe it’s a relatively new hotel. The rooms were spectacular. The one we were in had 25 foot high ceilings. The finishes are beautiful top-notch. Coming back at 6 o’clock every day and having a wonderful charcuterie and wine spread was just such a nice touch. The staff at the front desk and outside by the front door were overly helpful. Really just a wonderful stay

We had a wonderful stay at MM the late night security guard & the guys who help at the door were all super helpful, friendly & are good listeners. I appreciate that if I requested to do something myself they allowed me to do stuff at my pace. This detail is probably the best service they could offer because I enjoy taking my time packing/ unpacking. So thank you! Also the drip coffee was on point hotel breakfast was excellent!

The hotel is beautifully designed, which is very important to me when I travel. Sadly, the service does not match. There is no doorman and nobody to grab your luggage upon arrival. The mini-fridge in our suite was warm, not cold. The water in one of our sinks had a tiny little stream of water. We walked into Salon Salon one evening and were treated like we walked in off the street - if you call this an amenity, hotel guests should get priority. And, in an empty Breakfast room, the service was terribly lacking. I want them to get it right because it's so beautiful, but they have a lot of work to do in the Opertions department.

The hotel is very pretty but I would not consider it 5 star. The air conditioning wasn’t working for the first 24 hours we were there and we recieved no notice and or reimbursement. It was 90degrees outside. I had asked for coffee every day at 0730 and had to call for it 2 out of the 3 days. Bed wasn’t that comfortable. Beautiful decorations and nice having the wine and cheese even tho the lobby was sweltering when we went.

This is one of most charming hotels I’ve stayed in. Room was well appointed, super clean, quiet and bathroom was terrific—huge with nice quality sundries. The staff could not have nicer, everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful. The coffee service in the morning was a standout, and little extras like cookies and wine and cheese were very much appreciated. This feels more like a small boutique hotel than one affiliated with a large brand like Hyatt. We would 100% stay again next time we are in NO.

you need a key to get into the front door of the hotel, which is frustrating after getting off of a plane and theres no one at the door to let you in. after a few minutes of trying to shake the door open, a bellman came and opened the door as he watched me bring my luggage in myself. the hotel looks better in photos, in real life its much darker. the room itself was nice with nice furnishings, but not worth the 'boutique' price

Not a cookie cutter hotel-you feel it as soon as you enter the scented lobby with a huge bowl of pistachios. This place is a vibe and an experience in itself. No coffeemakers in the room, but morning drop-offs of thermoses of coffee/tea (and whatever milk you want) as early as you need. All-day $10 honor bar with basic mixers (no simple syrup I could see). Happy hour at 4 with wine and charcuterie. Speakeasy with hidden exit to SalonSalon which has the best whisky sours and elevated bar food. We found the location to be safe and quiet, a 5 minute stroll to Rouse’s Market which has a Starbucks, raw and cooked food, and 20 minutes walk to the French Quarter which made us feel better about the great NOLA meals we enjoyed. Oh, and if you enjoy a nice bubble bath after a long day out, this place still has tubs available!

Everyone at this hotel was kind, thoughtful and helpful -- the whole hotel was about 6 stories but maintained a small hotel feel. i have stayed at many hotels but the service here was really personal and exceptional. Staying here allowed us to tour the french quarter and the rest of new orleans with ease. I highly recommend this hotel over any of the much larger chains in the area, and this location was central but peaceful. Most importantly the hotel allowed access to but avoided the pressures and congestion of bourbon street and the tourist areas of the french quarter...

Wonderful experience staying with Maison De La Luz. I would highly recommend to anyone travelling to New Orleans. We especially loved the afternoon wine and cheese, the cookies and best of all the hidden bar.

This was our first visit to NOLA in 25 years and we left our originally booked hotel because of the room conditions. We were so happy to find Maison Metiere!!!! The hotel was wonderful with beautiful accommodations, incredible staff, excellent restaurant and so many unique extras. We will make this our home away from home for the next several years.

This is a beautiful hotel, it has real French charm. Rooms are beautiful, comfy beds. Sheets could be bit softer. Service is great, love the coffee/tea service at your door each morning. Breakfast was delightful. Loved the speakeasy room and love the decor of the bar area. We will be back!
