Best Western Brooklyn-Coney Island Inn

Breakfast was decent for continental style. Hotel in very secluded & located in unsafe part of Coney Island area w/ lower level steps to entrance & limited secluded parking, which felt very unsafe . Room was clean but bed hard & inferior quality pillows. Cleaning & cooking staff were good

The room was clean and updated, so that was nice. However, we found the bed to be very firm and the pillows to be thin and scratchy. The parking lot was a bit tight, but manageable. However, if you're planning to charge your EV - know that the charger's down a steep-ish hill behind the building and there's not much room to turn around. Depending where your charge port is this may be a challenge. I didn't get to use the charger as there was already another EV there. Also - the WiFi was ABYSMALLY slow. I'm talking under 3Mbps - wired or wireless (there was an Ethernet jack in the room). I don't know if they just don't pay for enough speed from their provider or if they're limiting the speed per device, but it's awful. Couldn't stream anything and I would imagine using a VPN for work or otherwise would be painful. So overall we probably wouldn't choose to stay here again, but if your budget's tight and you need to stay in this part of Brooklyn, it will get the job done. Just not overly well.
