Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Gainesville I-35

The only small problem, the pool heater wasn't working, it was very cold....that's it everything else was perfect, the staff was amazing!

Didn’t eat,highway noise,slow elevator. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Pictures of the indoor pool are dated and a little deceptive. This pool needs some work.

One staff member was rude. Ice machine broken. Indoor Pool shut down.

Tv did not work, WiFi was down, very noisy traffic noise.

The four nights I was there continental breakfast wasn’t served. Also, the heater in my room didn’t work; the pool heater was also broken (indoor pool was cold). Hotel maintenance staff need to address broken heaters and breakfast needs to be served (as advertised when booking).

This was by far the unkept Fairfield the elevator was dirty the pool was green ice machine broken the breakfast was unmentionable there was an employee in the breakfast area that was coughing so bad I hope she wasn’t the one preparing the breakfast . The rooms were clean the grounds were kept the front desk were very cordial.

Very clean hotel. We were able to check in early. Only complaint is the pool was not open. We chose this hotel because it had an inside pool. We were in town for a wedding and there really isn’t much to do in the evening in Gainesville- so an inside pool was a must. But overall it is a very nice hotel. The lady at the front desk was very nice. It’s conveniently located right of I-35. Lots of restaurants in the area.

We arrived early & was allowed to go ahead & check into our room. Ginger was very polite & helpful with the check in process. Our bed was very comfortable which made our stay wonderful. The only thing that I would say to make our complete stay excellent is the indoor pool water heater was not working. Hopefully this will be fixed for future stays there.

The front desk was pleasant. Elevator didnt work luckily we were on the 2nd floor. The breakfast was AWFUL THAT WAS TOTALLY DISRESPECTFUL TRYING TO SERVE THAT GARBAGE, last incident housekeeping knock & just let themselves in i had to HOLLER LET HER KNOW THIS ROOM IS OCCUPIED! This is the 2nd time ive dealt with these HOTELS NOT TRAINING PROPER SERVICE. Or not communicating with front desk about customers extended stay etc...

I didn’t like the mattress it a big stain on it my anxiety is already on one hundred because they don’t clean those rooms! Thank God it was another bed in there if not I would have to go to another hotel! They say free breakfast that was horrible also so one had put serving dish in the pan with the eggs!!!

Bathroom had ants crawling around the floor and bathtub. As well as paint chipping off tub and water smelled bad.

Room was dirty with trash and sugar ants. The gym equipment was dusty and needs to be cleaned. The pool was not working. First morning the coffee was out for over an hour. Not an enjoyable stay. We told them about the ants. They never treated or cleaned the room while we were out. The next morning someone came into the room not realizing we were still there. We were not compensated for our stay with ants. And half the amenities were dirty or out of order. Even the ice machine didn't work. Not pleased.

Cleanliness of the rooms, the facility and the exterior of the property. Staff was great.

Water was luke-warm at best & the room lacked any seating. Most hotels have a couple of chairs & maybe a table, not this one. There was plenty of space in the room, but minimal furniture. Plenty of lighting in the parking lot & everything was clean. Mentioned the water issue to the front desk staff & no offer of a discount or anything. Guess I should have thrown a fit about it.

It was a nice clean hotel but the noise from the interstate was distributing since the hotel was close the the highway.

I didn’t like cold showers! It was not advertised as a cold shower facility. The bathtub needed drain cleaned, very slow to drain water. Wallpaper peeling off walls.

Tv in the room won’t turn off, no matter what remote you use, front desk won’t help, could not sleep one wink because of the TV light and their technical issue. Horrible sleep.

We had stayed here before and had a nice room. This time the blinds wouldn't go up and the bedroom tv didn't work.

I needed an electrical outlet near the head of my bed. The closest one was over 12 feet away. My wife’s bed had 4 on the wall. Who failed to examine creature comforts when it was designed? Stupid!

The tvs didn’t work. We moved from one room to another with hopes the tv would work but they still didn’t we had to go watch tv in the lobby. I loved the customer service I understood it wasn’t Ginger the receptionist fault but at check out they made it seem like it was a outage in the whole hotel but some tvs worked and they didn’t want to accommodate for the inconvenience.

Staff (Ginger) made the stay and our trip so comfortable. All previous reviews commented on her professionalism and they were right

Staff was great. Although the first room they put me in had not been cleaned, the bed had the bed covering just pulled up to the pillows, the trash still had trash in it. I told the front desk and they moved me to another room.

The check in did not happen because I booked, and when I showed they told me it was overbooked and needed to talk to Expedia about the “error”. The manager had the audacity to deny my claim for a refund saying I didn’t show. When I went to the hotel with a group of 5 people and was denied access to the rooms.

Hateful attitude! We stayed one night, originally. Booked through Expedia . Because we were at a casino we got back to the room late, about 3:30 in the morning. I asked the night shift girl at 3 AM, 30th of June, 2025, if we could extend our stay for one more night because we wanted to sleep in. She said sure. Just tell the front desk tomorrow. She wasn't able to do it at that time, when I awoke about 8:30 AM I called to tell them we were staying another night and could I come down later about noon to pay. She refused to allow me to do that. I asked her if this was for real and she insisted it was company policy for me to pay now, because I booked through Expedia a third party, I begged her to let me sleep in and I’d be down around noon. I’m 79 years old, my husband is 82, handicapped. I got dressed and went down to pay. I was upset and tired. I told her she could try to show some dam mercy and that’s when she told me I was rude, I ask, ”would you do this to your mother?”.. and she leaned towards my face and said loudly,“My mother is dead! Thank you very much.” She let me know she was in charge ,” you just go get packed and leave,” I could deny you from staying here, I said,just run my card! She finally ran my card I walked away and she was talking about me to other people in line and an employee. When she turned around the other employee said,”can I help you”, and I told them I was listening. No one heard her rudeness talking to me earlier on the phone.

We were staying there as we headed to Dallas for a concert the next night. We were greeted by a warm smile and welcome by Ginger who checked us in. She was very nice, friendly and was very informative. She is definitely a ray of sunshine after driving miles after miles. She is quite an asset to your company!!

Had a great stay the staff was great, very friendly and helpful the hotel was very clean and comfortable. I travel constantly for work and stay in lots of hotels my only complaint about this location is safety. I locked myself out of my room and went to the front desk the lady working asked me my room number and immediately printed me a key this is very dangerous since she never verified my ID I could have literally gained access to any random room this is very concerning and dangerous especially if your a female traveler or traveling with children I would not stay here again for that reason

Hotel was very quiet and a perfect stay in Gainesville. Just down the street from Winstar. Breakfast attendants were very nice as well as all the lobby staff. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Would definitely stay again.

Despite having booked and prepaid theough Hotels.com, this hotel gave our room away, even after we called and notified wed be a little late to check in. Will never book there again.

From the moment we walked in, from desk staff was wonderful. Super helpful, professional, and courteous. We were late for breakfast having only 10 minutes left and the gentleman brought more stuff out for my family to eat. They even had a pack n play for my son. 100% recommend.

Three exits from the casino. Great location and quiet when ready to sleep.

A lot constructions are noisy and poor plans for vehicles to access.

This was a very nice place to stay, even though off the highway the noise is not loud. The staff was great, very friendly. Jill at the front desk. She is very helpful. Great stay! Great price, great location!

Everything was nice and clean, the staff were friendly and helpful. Close to the places we wanted to go to. Only complaint is the traffic noise from interstate 35.

Clean and friendly staff. Had to take residential back road to get to location but easy to access interstate.

Fairly nice place but it’s not very easy to get too if you are coming 35 south bound, have to go through bad neighborhood to get to it . Coming north bound it’s good because it’s right off the highway. Also the lights outside were not working so parking lot was very dark . They did have a transformer issue the night before but still, they should have had portable lighting available until the other situation was handled .

Friendly staff, clean rooms, great place for an overnight stay. On a one way street so had to go through neighborhood to get to it. Would stay again.

Easy access off highway, room was clean. Breakfast was ok. Bed was comfortable. We did hear highway noise sometimes, but nothing bad. It is 10 miles south of winstar casino .

I did have coffee and a bagel with cream cheese. The eggs look very un appetizing. The bacon was not cooked and the oatmeal was too thick.

Overall, I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The hotel was clean, staff was friendly, I would stay here again. The only negative was the breakfast was very disappointing. There was no food out when i came down and nothing was really stocked when I was there. I expected more but left feeling disappointed.

Our stay was okay. But we went down for breakfast 9:30 and only coffee n gooey oatmeal and few muffins were left.I thought they would refill it but NO and didn’t bother ask.
