Property was in a convenient location. Staff was pretty friendly. Lift was not working and I had 2 luggage’s. Had to ask for someone to assist but had to wait about 20 minutes which wasn’t ideal for those who spent a whole morning traveling. The hotel is nicely preserved but does need a bit of upgrading which can be done to historical buildings such as this one.

Clean and modern hotel .polite and friendly staff. Arrived back late after concert coffee machine was getting cleaned staff apologised as it would take 10 min . gave us a token for free coffee for inconvenience. With in walking distance to Haymarket train station, tram and bus stops to take you into City center. Plenty of cafes and restaurants in sounding area.

I had a room without a window. Room was fairly small but fine for me on my own. It was clean but rooms are only services every three days so as I was only there two days, room was not touched. There is a bar but quite limited. Not many restaurants nearby - but it’s only 5 mins walk to West End (And tram stop)

Well maintained rooms, loved the technology and convenient set up. Everything from the light switches to the electronic room key seemed to be so well thought out. Hats off to the designer of this hotel. As someone who can be critical of hygiene, this hotel was very clean. I would stay here again.

Very nice and very clean hotel; close to many places and very close to all transport such as Airport and castle and museums as well as food establishments! Competitive prices and great breakfast… they may have early check in if a room is available! Also convenient late check out for 15 Brit-Pds! Front desk staff are friendly and always in a good mood!

Good service from check-in to check out. Hotel was clean and quite modern. Reception area can get quite busy but handled well by efficient and courteous staff. Rooms are on the snug side but are clean and welcoming. Comfortable minimalism is the theme. The provision of a kettle in the room would have been appreciated, but tea and coffee is available from the bar in reception at reasonable prices.

Boutique hotel with small rooms, but clean and nice. Cozy, modern lobby area with coffe, wine, beer and soft drinks available all day, as well as breakfast. Incredibly helpful staff. Good location for walking the city

Staff were very welcoming and helpful who went out there to assist us. Room was clean although a bit on the small side. Location suited us as it was close to the town centre, shops and restaurants. Downside was the bathroom as it was a bit compact and not entirely visible on the photos of the hotel.

Had a wonderful stay! The staff were so friendly and helpful and had plenty of recommendations of where to eat and what to do. Room was perfect for our short stay. Walkable to city centre with plenty of public transport to choose from too. I only have 2 small criticisms. The first one is that there were a few suspicious stains on the head board that were quite noticeable and the second one being that we found the heating difficult to control. Overall, I would definitely recommend. Brilliant price with amazing staff.

Great location easy walk to princes street, royal mile and all tourist attractions. Hotel room was small and not much room for clothes and only bedside table on one side. We had breakfast added which was basic continental. Staff were very helpful and hotel was spotlessly clean.

I don’t understand why this hotel gets such good reviews. The location is good. The hotel is clean. But the room and the bathroom were TINY. I almost had to leave my luggage in the hallway because there was no room for it. When you stood up from the toilet, your face would literally hit a wall. This was the smallest hotel room i’ve ever encountered. I will not stay here again. I’ll spend the extra money for a proper room…

This hotel is about 15 minutes from the hub of the tourist zone and the area is modern. There is a street about 5 minutes away that has many many good restaurants and a lovely classic Edinburgh pub in Haymarket. Room was super tiny but it was fine.

Ideal location if attending a conference at EICC -- literally next door. Modern and clean. Friendly staff. TINY rooms. Confusing light controls. Heavy comforter with no separate sheet: you get to choose between super warm and nothing at all.

The price was ridiculous for a room which is bare basics, small, no cupboards and practically no space to open the luggage. The bed though was extremely comfortable and even though I was ground floor with a window towards the road, the sound isolation was perfect! The room has no tea/coffee making facilities and there is no water. The staff though are extremely nice, kind and serviceminded. The breakfast is fine.

Hotel rooms were great, everything we needed, very large windows, airy and bright. Room to sit and relax and read. Staff were FAB, everyone we dealt with could not have been more friendly, efficient and helpful as well as chatty and cheerful. Breakfast was continental but so much choice and delicious. great extras such as ironing rooms on certail floors if you needed them. Would definitely use again. have already booked a stay in Glasgow.

I recently stayed at this hotel and was disappointed with the check-in experience. Although most of the staff seemed friendly, the check-in process was poorly organized. There was a line and I waited for my turn, but the staff did not follow the order of the queue. After I had finished filling out the required form, the staff member who was assisting me suddenly started helping the guest behind me instead, completely ignoring me. I stood there waiting, unsure of what to do, until I asked again and was only told “two seconds.” This lack of attention and disregard for guests who are waiting made the check-in process disappointing . I hope the hotel can improve its service and ensure that staff follow proper procedures and treat guests with more consideration.

Check in was frustrating. When you've been traveling, you don't want to arrive and have to type a bunch of things into a computer. I had already given all my information when I made the reservation, and it took way too long to dig out my ID, enter my address, etc. We prefer the old way when you just showed up, gave your credit card to the check in person, and went to your room. The person that was there was very friendly and helpful and it was not her fault. The rest of the stay was just fine, good location and clean.

Our air conditioning broke and started suddenly leaking a lot of water, I went down immediately to inform the staff. They were very quick in getting us moved to a different room which was good if a bit annoying, by the time I went back to move our stuff to the new room there was a large puddle on the floor. We were moved quickly which was good, but meant that we were hurried in getting our things and ended up leaving some clothes by accident. I went down to talk to staff the next day and was told housekeeping had already cleaned the room and they hadn't given any clothes to the lost property. Quite infuriating to have to move room due to a leakage, then to also lose our clothes as well. I was told to go back the next day incase they showed up, they did not. The staff were very helpful during the night when we had to be moved, but I was quite disappointing with the lack of care and effort in the morning when I was trying to get our possessions back

I initially booked this hotel out of convenience. It was located near to both Haymarket Station and the Usher Hall. That was my main concern. I was totally amazed by the helpfulness, the friendliness, and the professionalism of the staff at the hotel. They were all outstanding! This was such a surprise to me as Id only expected a basic bed for the night. The room was immaculately clean, and the bed was SO comfy. They provide an early check in and a late check out facility, which was ideal for my arrangements. I couldnt fault one thing about this hotel. Thank you for making my stay so comfortable and stress-free. I am disabled and you have no idea how your simple acts of kindness helped me

Conveniently located for Haymarket station, and not far from the Meadows and Princes Street. Smartly-presented, clean and tidy hotel with wonderful, efficient, helpful and friendly staff. Room was a decent size with a surprisingly spacious bathroom; plenty of power outlets. Thanks to a comfortable bed, low external noise levels – despite looking down onto a busy road – and a superlative blackout curtain, I got a great night’s sleep. Excellent value for the price paid.

We enjoyed our 7 night stay at Point A Hotel Edinburgh Haymarket. The hotel is budget friendly and in an excellent location. A quick 15 minute walk and you are in the heart of Edinburgh. If you don’t feel like walking, there is a bus stop less than a minute from the hotel. A five minute walk and you have access to the tram and the Haymarket train station. The tram will get you to and from the airport with ease.The train was perfect for day trips planned during our stay. There are also plenty of dining options in the area. Our room was fantastic. It was clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff are lovely and make you feel welcome. Special shout out to Jamie.

The staff were always on hand to help and very polite and welcoming. The room was lovely and it was great having the air con. Breakfast was nice, although if you're looking for a full English they don't provide that there. Had a lovely dining area to sit and eat. The hotel is in a good location. Walking distance to most of the tourist attractions and has enough food & drink options locally. The staff were really helpful especially Lydia. The room was just what we needed for one night. The only observations i would make are, no tea/coffee facilities in the room which would have been nice and the £13 breakfast is continental, no hot food. I recommend going to a local cafe for that.

Great location and we really liked the (cold) breakfast even if it was simple (for a hotel.) Rather pricey for three stars but I guess that’s just the Edinburgh price level. It’s a sort of smallish hotel and the service was also really friendly and easy-going, which gave the place a relaxed feel.

I booked this hotel because i had a voucher, so wasn't sure what to expect. From arrival i was impressed by the friendly staff and the welcoming reception. Our room wason the small side, but perfect for a 1 night stay. It was in a good location, not far from the west ebd of Prince's street. We had a drink at the bar and found the prices very reasonable. We didn't book breakfast, but once we checked it out, decided to go for it. For £13, the choice of cereal, yoghurt, fresh fruit, pastries, tea and coff was great

Very modern and clean hotel room. Breakfast decent for continental and like that you can grab a bag and take some with you too. More pillows needed in the room - 1 each is never enough. And the tv oh dear. You couldn’t actually watch from the comfort of the bed as bracket arm didn’t move enough and in our 2nd room there was no signal at all! For the price it was good enough I’d say. Good to be able to walk to attractions and main shopping areas.
