The main problem with this property for me and the main reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is they don’t allow your taxi/transport to bring you to the hotel door. You have to get out of your taxi/transport outside the gates to the port and walk yourself and your luggage about 300-400 meters/yards to the front desk. There is also no bellboy service available. Apart from that it is a very decent hotel.

Overall the hotel was ok. We had some small ants the 1st night but they went away. Hotel bar/restaurant can’t charge you room so you have to settle your bill prior to leaving.

Very clean hotel with quaint, whimsical decor and convenient location to maritime activities. No outside food or drinks are allowed in the rooms. You are limited to the choices in their vending machine and they are not very good. The hotel’s restaurant serves lunch and dinner but the menu options are limited. Guests can also enjoy the breakfast buffet which is tasty and offers many pastries.

The property was very secure safe place to stay. It is right at the port, rooms overlooking the cruise boats approx 15 feet from your windows. The room was new and updated. The policy of the bar restaurant to only serve hotel guests during certain times made it intimate. The payment can only be made thru the front desk for the bar items. I would stay at this property again specifically If I was boarding a cruise here or ending one here..

Struttura molto curata, ottima la colazione e il personale molto cortese e disponibile. La posizione risulta essere molto strategica sia per raggiungere isole del golfo sia per la vicinanza con alcune delle principali attrazioni della città. Molto comoda è la stazione della metropolitana a un minuto dall'Hotel. Unica pecca manca una convenzione con uno dei numerosi parcheggi presenti in zona... per cui il costo auto risulta essere alto...

Das Hotel wirkt sehr modern und hat eine gute Ausstattung. Leider liegt es inmitten einer sehr vollen Umgebung. Kreuzfahrtschiffe, Baustellen, Parkplätze und der Hafen umzingeln das Hotel. Der Parkplatz kostet pro Tag 18€. Der ÖPVN ist per Fuß in 10-15min erreichbar.

So I booked this property not knowing much about it. It is unique in its location in that it is inside the Stazione Maritimma, a huge building that is the entry of cruise ships into Naples. Very nice boutique property, modern, clean and quiet, out of the manic bustle of Naples but walkable to everything, and transportation 24/7 with buses and taxis. The staff were wonderful albeit their English could be better. Special shout out to Tina & Francesco at the bar who were a joy to be around with at the end of long days of touring. 2 big issues. 1. The rules of the hotel state you cannot bring in outside food or drink which I think is ridiculous given that the hotel policy also is that you only have the in room mini bars stocked your first day and do not restock it after! So you have to rely on a vending machine working for drinks. The machine did not always work & I found myself being thirsty in my own room with nothing but tap water, which was pretty annoying especially in the middle of the night. I will say there was a young man, maintenance (?) who noticed my struggles with the vending machine & helped me without me asking. 2. They do not understand the concept charging your bar tab to your room. They take your room number, and when you are finished the bartender walks you to the front desk where you pay for what you had. Silly, unusual, inefficient, and hard on the bar staff. All in all I reccomend the property but be aware of these weird little quirks.

Very convenient location, excellent rooms, spacious and clean. The reception staff is very nice. Breakfast average (plenty of choice but not the best quality). The bar inside the hotel is quite expensive and the service is poor. (We ordered aperitivo and the crisps were all crumbled that needed a spoon to be eaten, and nothing else). Overall it was a pleasant experience.

Das Hotel hat sehr klare Vorzüge: Es liegt direkt am Hafen und die Metro ist auch nicht weit. Allerdings war unser Zimmer in die Jahre gekommen. Die Dusche hatte zwar neue Duschköpfe, aber zwischen den Fliesen war viel Schimmel zu sehen. Auch war das Zimmer an sich schön groß, nur das Bad klein und ohne wirkliche Ablagefläche. Beim Blick in andere Zimmer haben wir aber gesehen, dass auch sanierte Bäder gab. Von daher war ich doppelt enttäuscht. Das Frühstück war auch keine Empfehlung. Der Raum war ungemütlich, die Auswahl nicht gut und der Kaffee aus der dortigen Maschine eine wirkliche Katastrophe. Wir haben allerdings auf Nachfrage einen gut gemachten Cappuccino von der Bar bekommen. Tipp beim Ausstieg aus der Metro, Haltestelle Municipio: Nehmt gleich den Ausgang Richtung Hafen.

Fue lo que necesitaba y más ! Bien ubicado para mi salida al día siguiente del puerto. Fue fácil llegar desde el aeropuerto por el Alibus y una breve caminata al hotel. De noche hay que pasar seguridad que también me hizo sentir tranquilo fueron súper amables y ágiles. El hotel muy limpio moderno. El desayuno muy bueno y está incluido. El personal en front desk nos recomendó lugares y muy bien !el cuarto muy cómodo silencioso y buena calidad de las camas y sábanas. Una gran experiencia.

We immediately left understanding that we would have to just eat the cost. The place was damp, filthy, and had a strange smell. There were bugs and dirt in our room that was noticeable upon first entry. There was an ant trail in the shower. We understand it is a port hotel that people stay in for a night before their cruise, but it was just unacceptable. We booked because the average star rating was high. That seems to be because of the low number of reviews when compared to the other hotels in the area. The limited interactions we had with staff were great. We appreciate how polite they were with us. There was just no way for them to fix all of the issues.

The first room we were assigned was located directly in the lobby area with the door facing the front desk, which is very noisy. We paid extra to upgrade to a room on the second floor. In the next morning We found ants on the bathroom floor, and many ants on a white pillow in the upgraded room. When I brought the pillow case which was inside out with ants sealed inside to the front desk. The 1st staff said you should bring it back to your room... later on a 2nd staff came to our room and told us they had only found ants in rooms on the first floor and had never seen ants on the second floor. He asked whether we had brought food into the room, which we absolutely had not. He even suggested—while pointing two fingers at us—that the ants might have been brought in by us from a train or airplane, which felt inappropriate and unprofessional. In addition, the safe boxes in both rooms did not work. Overall, the hotel felt more like a 2–3 star property and did not meet the standards expected of a 4-star hotel.

It was very clean, spacious and convenient! It was really quiet even when cruise came, no impact to quietness. Breakfast was excellent with great options . Staff are all very nice and helpful! We really enjoyed the stay!

On Expedia it advertises a panoramic view, but don’t be confused. It’s not panoramic at all. It’s blocked most the time. There’s huge blue metal pieces that hold the bridge for the cruise above so don’t get your hopes up about a view. Not to mention the room is extremely tiny, and you really can’t even walk next to each other without bumping into each other, the shower extremely small and the customer service for the hotel was not satisfactory at all. Don’t ask for getting your room changed because they can’t give it to you. Book somewhere else

If you are looking to take one of the Ferry's out of Naples, and need to spend the night then Smart Hotel Napoli is the right choice. It is right next to a few different Ferry companies, and also where the Cruise Lines come in. It is in a busy area, however the Hotel is in a side, quiet area of an old Ferry building. We had to take a few minutes to find it, as the entrance is on a corner of the building. Check-in was quick and easy, and the staff were nice and friendly. Our room was clean and spacious. There was a small sitting area, the bedroom, and the bathroom. We did have an outside balcony area which was nice, though the days we stayed were humid outside. Luckily, the air conditioning was working. There is a restaurant right outside the check-in area with a full bar. Breakfast is included, and there was a nice selection and ample seating in the area. We enjoyed our stay, and are happy to recommend to others.

There was a small sitting area, the bedroom, and the bathroom. We did have an outside balcony area which was nice, though the days we stayed were humid outside. Luckily, the air conditioning was working. There is a restaurant right outside the check-in area with a full bar. Breakfast is included, and there was a nice selection and ample seating in the area. We enjoyed our stay, and are happy to recommend to others.

The Room that we had in smart Hotel was actually the biggest for the price and it was clean and new. it was a bit noisy because of the cruises parking directly beside our room. Otherwise the location is good and the metro station and bus to airport is a 5 walking distance

Interesting location actually IN the port terminal. Needed to get past the guard shack to get in, but just use the top secret password “Smart Hotel” :-) We just needed an overnight stay between arriving on the train and leaving on a ferry, so it was very convenient. We laughed at the “view” from our “patio”. We arrived in time to see a small ship pull away from a nearby dock that evening and awoke to a white wall about 20’ from our room as a giant cruise ship had docked there overnight. Very entertaining. The staff was nice, the room was a bit cramped, but fine for one night. The chairs maybe could have been replaced. Art deco theme throughout was different & tried to be fun.

The hotel was right at the port where all the major cruise ships dock…the rooms were very spacious and an added plus was that whatever drinks were in the refrigerator was free, not too many hotels do that! Breakfast was also included. We thought it was very walkable to get where we wanted to go from hotel… had a great stay and will stay there again.

The property is away from the city center but near the port (convenient to take ferry). The entrance is a little far from the driveway. Facilities were clean and breakfast was a decent spread. The triple room was spacious and comfortable. We had an odd situation with the staff though. We were 4 friends who accidentally booked 3 rooms instead of 2 (I booked two and my friend booked one duplicate) due to a miscommunication. We realized this late and I requested a cancellation - it was a few hours aster the hotel cancellation deadline but more than 24 hours before check in (they had a stricter than usual policy). Despite the fact that we had two other rooms and made repeated requests to consider our case, we were told nothing could be done. After several appeals we were merely offered a drink each on the house. Later in the evening we tried to request one last time before checking into the 3rd room (as we really didn’t need it at all) but the lady at the desk spoke to us very rudely and was almost yelling. We told her to speak to us politely. When we asked for the drinks, we were told they were being offered only if we did not write a bad review (a strange thing to say if one wants to avoid a bad review). We decided not to get any drinks as a matter of principle but asked for water at the restaurant while eating which was later counted against the free drinks. Aside from this the other staff was nice and organized transport for us. This just left a bad taste in the mouth.

Staff was exceptional! Room was very comfortable and clean. The only thing that we didn’t realize when we booked is that when there’s a cruise ship docked there is absolutely no view, all you see is the side of a ship. However when there is not one docked, it is beautiful and very peaceful! We loved the location and felt very safe.

I read in the reviews that the staff would coordinate an early morning shuttle to the airport. By the time we arrived, we were only going to be there one night and need to leave by 4 AM the next morning to go to NAP airport (which is one of the most organized worst airports ever). At that point the front desk woman said all she could do was schedule a taxi for us at 4:15 the next morning.. We came down at 4:10 and found out the taxi was never scheduled so one would have to be called which further delayed us.... also, the room was sweltering because they will only turn AC on in the room if they have tenants, and they didn't turn it on until we went down an hour later that the room wouldn't cool.

The first room we were assigned was located directly in the lobby area with the door facing the front desk, which is very noisy. We paid extra to upgrade to a room on the second floor. In the next morning We found ants on the bathroom floor, and many ants on a white pillow in the upgraded room. When I brought the pillow case which was inside out with ants sealed inside to the front desk. The 1st staff said you should bring it back to your room... later on a 2nd staff came to our room and told us they had only found ants in rooms on the first floor and had never seen ants on the second floor. The main problem with this property for me and the main reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is they don’t allow your taxi/transport to bring you to the hotel door. You have to get out of your taxi/transport outside the gates to the port and walk yourself and your luggage about 300-400 meters/yards to the front desk. There is also no bellboy service available. Apart from that it is a very decent hotel.

Loved opening the curtains in the morning to see a cruise ship outside. The location is very good with trips to the islands practically on the doorstep. Also the new metro entrance at the front takes away the stress of trying to cross a very busy road! This was not our first stay there and I hope to return again soon.

If you are looking to take one of the Ferry's out of Naples, and need to spend the night then Smart Hotel Napoli is the right choice. It is right next to a few different Ferry companies, and also where the Cruise Lines come in. It is in a busy area, however the Hotel is in a side, quiet area of an old Ferry building. We had to take a few minutes to find it, as the entrance is on a corner of the building. Check-in was quick and easy, and the staff were nice and friendly. Our room was clean and spacious. Easy access to Alibus and metro. Very convenient if one wishes to visit the islands as the ferry companies are 60 metres from the hotel. We liked the safety around the hotel and the staff were very good. Breakfast was just like any other European hotel.

So I booked this property not knowing much about it. It is unique in its location in that it is inside the Stazione Maritimma, a huge building that is the entry of cruise ships into Naples. Very nice boutique property, modern, clean and quiet, out of the manic bustle of Naples but walkable to everything, and transportation 24/7 with buses and taxis. The staff were wonderful albeit their English could be better. Special shout out to Tina & Francesco at the bar who were a joy to be around with at the end of long days of touring. 2 big issues. 1. The rules of the hotel state you cannot bring in outside food or drink which I think is ridiculous given that the hotel policy also is that you only have the in room mini bars stocked your first day and do not restock it after! So you have to rely on a vending machine working for drinks. The machine did not always work & I found myself being thirsty in my own room with nothing but tap water, which was pretty annoying especially in the middle of the night. I will say there was a young man, maintenance (?) who noticed my struggles with the vending machine & helped me without me asking. 2. They do not understand the concept charging your bar tab to your room. They take your room number, and when you are finished the bartender walks you to the front desk where you pay for what you had. Silly, unusual, inefficient, and hard on the bar staff. All in all I reccomend the property but be aware of these weird little quirks.

I enjoyed my stay at the Smart Hotel. It is centrally located and felt clean and safe. Both the check in and check out process were quick and efficient. Staff were also nice. Since I’m celiac, I particularly liked that there were gluten free options for breakfast e.g. bacon, eggs, and sausages. Dietary restrictions were clearly outlined in the signage for each dish.

Fantastic option if you are due to embark on a cruise but want to be able to explore Naples for a day and night. Staff amazing, room fantastic size so would highly recommend, just don’t eat at venue as food quality is the only thing that lets it down.

The location was perfect especially if you are taking a cruise from Naples. The breakfast was good however the restaurant that belongs to the hotel (I think it was called il Molto) was not good at all. The quality was horrible and the prices were ridiculous. I don’t write many reviews but I feel I have to for our magnificent stay at Smart Hotel. Rooms are extremely clean, the staff are friendly and helpful, location is great.. there was not one wrinkle in our stay. They even held our luggage for free for a week while we travelled to Ischia and back. Can’t wait to stay again
