It was my third time staying in Oakwood Residence Hanoi with my wife. First two times, 8 days, and this time 3 days. It’s my favorite hotel, course it’s clean, nice and helpful staff, big indoor pool (so I don’t get burned by the sun) with beautiful view, great gym, big jacuzzi and sauna. The rooms are really nice, with power plugs where you need them (many hotels only have one on each side of the bed). And the down pillows are the best. The area around the hotel is mostly local stores and food places/restaurants, which is fine for me (married to a Vietnamese). If I want different things, I take a taxi. I stay in this hotel because I really enjoy it, not because of what’s around. This time I didn’t leave the hotel once, and I enjoyed every minute!

Fab place to stay and escape the madness of Hanoi. Lovely pool and fitness area, fab breakfast and Treat restaurant was also tasty! A really nice mix of guests that we even spent time with. You will need the Grab app to get taxis around Hanoi but honestly coming back to Oakwood was fab! Staff are beyond lovely and we even extended an extra night as so comfortable. Thanks for a great staff and will Defo check out the Oakwood in Ho Chi Min.

An amazing property to stay at. We came here after a couple days in old town area and it was nice to have a modern luxury hotel that had great amenities. Rooftop pool was awesome for the family to enjoy. Staff were all friendly and very helpful. Would recommended this property and would stay here again!

Odd location seemingly tucked into an alley. But the building was very nice, as was my room. Only glitch was a bizarre sound of water rushing through the ceiling over my bed. Presume it was from a shower above, but the sound was very loud and weirdly in the main/bedroom as opposed to bath. Nice little bananas were welcomed as I arrived after restaurant and bar closed.

Bed and pillow are comfortable but the blanket is a bit heavy. I think my 2 bedroom is designed for 1 king bed so the sockets and light switches on the headboard are blocked by the pillows. Sockets show 3 rectangular legs (UK type) but actually you can't plug in 3 legs. Washing machine door is not closing well. Need to try a few times to successfully close the door. And there is no place to hang washed clothes

A very well maintained hotel with extremely pleasant and efficient staff. We had 13 nights there during March and April as were back and forth to Hanoi. It's less hectic and quieter than the Old Quarter and never a problem to get a Grab. Breakfast is varied and suits all tastes. Lots of good restaurants also in the area. We'll definitely stay at the Oakwood on our next visit to Hanoi.

While the staff were indeed nice, the area located at the hotel is not close to the Old Quarter so if you are traveling with kids then it might not be that convenient. There are limited shops around the hotel. The hotel itself is overall clean but it's aging for sure.

Men det är ett säkert område och det finns inga anledningar till oro, även som ensam kvinna. Det finns dock andra hotell som ligger i lite mer upplysta områden, som jag hellre skulle välja pga det. Vilket också bevisas av att jag inte bokade samma hotell igen. Men det är i väldigt fint skick. Hotellets restaurang serverar alldeles för små portioner och till ett högt pris, men det är gott.
