Check in was smooth, room very clean and well appointed. The location is about 20-25 min walk from Kyoto Station. We ended up taking the city bus for the most part to get around. Use Suica or IC card to tap off the bus. There's no tap on- just hop on and pay when you hop off. This location is quiet and away from the hustle and bustle. Hotel has 4 washer/dryer combo and none were available so we crossed the street and did laundry at the laundry mat. Explored the neighborhood for an hour and came back when laundry was done. I enjoyed the stay for the quietness but would prefer a hotel closer to the train station next time.

Really happy that we chose this hotel. The location is great (near the Kyoto Station for Shinkansen and close to Gion), the facilities of the hotel are superb and the service here was fantastic. My daughter was sick with a high fever on the first day of our arrival and the front desk staff (Tanikaze-san) helped me call the nearby clinics one by one and eventually helped us with an appointment. Because of that my daughter got the antibiotics she needed and her fever stopped the next day. We were all very grateful for the additional help Tanikaze-san offered. Facilities wise, we really love the big public bath facilities they offer. It's the best way to relax after a long day of tour. We booked a double bed room for 4 people (2 adults and 2 kids). The room is slightly small for 4 people, but this is quite a typical set up for JP hotels until we book two rooms. So Overall, we still highly recommend this hotel!

Das Urban Hotel Koyoto Gojo Premium ist etwas ungünstig gelegen bezogen auf eine Anreise per Fernverkehr sowie für touristische Attraktionen. Das Zimmer (Doppelzimmer) war klein, unpraktisch aufgeteilt und mit keinerlei Ablagemöglichkeiten ausgestattet - weder für Koffer, noch für Kleidung. Man musste alles auf den Boden legen. Das Bett war okay, nur die Kopfkissen waren zu hart und steif. Bad mit Dusche waren gut. Das Frühstück war, gemessen am Preis, eher mittelmäßig. Das Fitnessstudio kostete extra Gebühr, was für die gebotene Leistung nicht angemessen war: Cardio, ein Satz Hanteln und ein unbrauchbar defektes Multifunktionsgerät. Die Organisation im Hotel war zudem steif und schlecht, denn sowohl Frühstück als auch Fitnessstudio mussten umständlich jedes Mal separat an der Rezeption per Voucher gekauft werden und konnten nicht auf's Zimmer gebucht werden. Einmal hatte uns die Rezeption beim Frühstück wegen angeblicher Überfüllung abgewiesen, obwohl sichtlich Plätze frei und bewirtet waren. Daher mussten wir ohne Frühstück abreisen. Sauberkeit und Freundlichkeit waren einwandfrei. Wir können das Hotel insgesamt nicht empfehlen, da es keine Aufenthalts-Qualität bietet.

Hotel is ok but so far from anything if your there as a tourist. Room of course was small & not easy to find space for suitcases. Gave initial bottle of water but no more. Wouldn't stay again it's just too far from what we wanted

I enjoyed my stay thoroughly. It was convenient to a bus line from which I could sightsee. It was close to Kyoto Bus Station from which I could catch trains that departed for other tourists spots. I loved the efficiency of the hotel in terms of being able to do my laundry and the hot soaking facilities. I also loved their breakfast offerings.

全てにおいて特に不満な点はなく、快適にすごすことができました。ありがとうございました。朝食も、品数も量も充分にあり、満足です。連休で忙しいということもあったと思いますが、朝食時レストランでこちらから挨拶をしても、挨拶がなく、まずは笑顔でおはようと、挨拶があれば気持ちよかったのになあと思いました。
