Our room was fairly close to the lobby and faced the pool. It was very quiet all three days we were there. The breakfast was very good for a breakfast included in the stay although the area was small it did not seem to hamper the experience. The staff was helpful. The ONLY downside was the tight parking. We will definitely stay there again.

This place was great inside and great location, and we would stay here again. The only problem with it is the Parking lot is very poorly designed. It’s hard to get in and out and you literally can’t get by if someone is parked in front to checkin. But clean room, friendly staff, and good breakfast.

Nice updated hotel. Relaxing little pool area with hot tub. Plenty of free coffee and a surprisingly nice breakfast spread. Five minutes to historic district. Very pleasant staff.

The employees were all very nice. The breakfast was okay, Unfortunately, the rooms were dirty, dusty. The window shelf top of refrigerator just pretty much everywhere was like dust. Just not a really good cleaning just stop they're probably understaffed. I mean, the beds were made and clean I need to say it. But I don't think I'll be going back.

Breakfast is your regular continental, nothing special. Room seemed clean in the bathrooms and beds. The floors are dirty. Walked around in socks and they became black. AC was great in one room and not so great in our second room. Hair dryer didn't work. Our room door lock couldn’t lock as the door is warped. Storage for clothing and hanging is almost nonexistent. Location was good. Wouldn’t stay again or recommend.

The experience at this hotel was very poor, starting with the low-quality breakfasts. The sink in the room emitted a terrible smell each time it was used. On several occasions, when we used the elevator, the floors were dirty, covered in spilled liquids. To top off the bad experience, one night I found a cockroach walking between the beds. In summary, I do not recommend this hotel.

The hotel is not near the old town of Saint Augustine, it took us 1 hour to go over the bridge, it looks nice and clean, but my granddaughters took off their shoes their feet were black i don't think they ever clean the floors. The door to the next room is very thin we could hear a man coughing like he was in our room.

External remodel was excellent. Internal remodel was mix and match. There was uncleanliness of floors in the halls, and in our first room. Ran out of facial tissues. Air-conditioning was excellent. Not much selections in the breakfast. Ended up only eating a cinnamon roll each day of ash day. Coffee was lukewarm. I made my coffee in the room.

Outstanding customer service but awful sewage smell coming from sink in the room 105. A reviewer posted about this smell in this same room a month ago and it appears nothing has been done about it. There is also mildew or mold in the bathroom. Room 105 needs immediate attention.

No personality at the front desk the night I checked in. I walk into my room and the AC thermostat was laying on the ground in pieces so I was able to put it back together after a few minutes. Then I went to go shower and realized there were no towels in the room. The shower head was very dirty and did not put out much pressure and the water temperature fluctuated at random. Bed was alright as far as comfort, but it was a very noise bed whenever I moved. TV remote was pretty old and dirty, who knows when it was cleaned last. Breakfast was decent, no complaints-standard breakfast. Front desk lady in the morning was friendly. Good location with a mini golf right next door and a few minute drive to the historic downtown area across the bridge

Rooms were not sound proof at all. From extreme noise in the halls, to hearing snoring from the room next door, and the cars outside. Lots of mold in the bathrooms and dirty hallways. I would never stay here again.

Small hotel close to a busy road. First night was so loud with cars and I felt like room could be cleaner. Talked to Andrew at front desk and he moved us to a much quieter and what I thought , nicer room. Didn’t know about the gym until we were leaving. Looked really nice. Would stay there again.

Location was a good proximity to the historic district and the fort. Room was clean plenty of parking and the breakfast had lots of options.. the only downfall was our AC unit didnt work very well and never truly cooled off which made for uncomfortable sleeping due to being warm. Otherwise it it fine.

Nice, quiet rooms. Hot breakfast was good and slightly different each day. Easy to get to the historic area. We didn't like the rolling bathroom door as it didn't lock nor did it have a handle on the inside, not fans of the lack of privacy.

Room was clean & cold when we arrived but the room didn’t stay cold. Woke up hot even though we left the thermostat where it was when we arrived. Walls are paper thin so you hear everything, even people showering and cleaning service people cleaning the next room’s sink. So if you want sleep, bring ear plugs AND a sound machine. We had a sound machine and it wasn’t enough. Of course there were also rude adults not caring that people may be sleeping at 6-7am so they slammed doors and let their kids run through the halls yelling.

The staff was not friendly or willing to help solve a problem. Barely spoke English. The walls between the rooms were so thin, I could hear every word of the conversation as well as the screaming baby for most of the night. The breakfast area only seats 18 people and doesn’t have air conditioning. I will not be returning under any circumstances

Upon checking out there was no one at the front desk and then when asked if someone could come to the front desk we were ignored. When asking again we were told to drop the keys off. I needed a printed receipt thus dropping the keys off would not suffice for me. I was disappointed in how the staff was inattentive and rude.

The lady at front desk not friendly at ALL. Breakfast was just ok. Asked about the area and things to do and her response was basically figure out yourself ! She needs a new job ! The room was decent . But the front desk lady was so cold would never stay there again and would never recommend to anyone !

Showed up at 5pm and was told they were trying to get us a room, but we booked this 2 months in advance… the front staff was very rude and not helpful. They called our room at 11:30 to ask us to keep it down that they had a noise complaint. We were in bed sleeping with the tv off. I explained to them that wasn’t us and they said well please keep it down…. We’re not snorers or any noise makers just rude staff.

We didn’t get the room cleaned because they were short staffed. Only incoming rooms got cleaned. Had to get clean towels, coffee from front desk. They tried to be nice but not picked up rooms or lobby was a turnoff.

The hotel was what we have come to expect from Holiday Inn Express, but we were caught off guard by the distance from the Historical District. The description says it is in the Historical District, but it is actually two miles from it (one mile to the bridge, which is one mile). We prefer to stay where we can walk to areas of interest, but there wasn’t much nearby.

I'm a solo traveler and like to stay within walking distance to main streets - I choose this hotel because of the distance to the St Augustine Lighthouse - although it is within walking distance, I did drive to the lighthouse - The main part of shops/restaurants was farther over the bridge - it is walkable but I would suggest driving. The hotel was clean - It was late when I arrived so I didn't have - or couldn't see many restaurant options available near by - but the hotel recommended one across the street and it was delicious. There is a mini golf right next door for kids. Overall I enjoyed my short stay.

The hotel itself was fine for a one night stay. We were a little disappointed in the location. It was listed as being in the historic district and we assumed that we could walk from the hotel to the downtown area but we needed to drive. I think the information on line was misleading.

The hotel was perfect for our one night stay before arriving to our final vacation destination. Being picky: the beds were not super comfortable and the breakfast area is very tiny. Not much room to sit but the breakfast itself was pretty good.

Check in was flawless and the front desk was so helpful with suggestions about how to get around St. Augustine. Upon getting into our room TV was not working so they promptly moved us to another room. Room was clean and a good size for the 3 of us. Breakfast was ok, oatmeal was watery and undercooked the 1st day but ok next day. It was nice knowing a shuttle will pick you up and take you to the trolley station and we purchased our tickets for the trolley right at the hotel. On last night while watching tv it suddenly turned off then came back on doing the same thing over and over. Front desk came up but couldn’t fix it so since it was our last night advised them to just unplug it due to not being able to shut it off. We would definitely stay here again.
