PERO SI ME PARECE IMPORTANTE AVISAR QUE EN TEMPORADA DE CALOR, NO ES UNA MUY BUENA OPCION, GRAN SERVICIO EN FRONT DESK, CERCA DE TODO, MUY ESPACIOSO.

I really enjoyed our three nights at Getaway. First, it was easy to get to from Gint Saint Peters and also from Gent Dampoort train stations. It was really quiet our whole stay and the kitchenette was helpful. The place is really close to downtown and we got a lot of walking in to all the sites in Ghent. There isn't AC but we didn't really notice there is a fan that we used and the room did not get any direct sun. lastly, the lockers were helpful because we arrived before our check in time and we didn't waste any time seeing Ghent. I would stay here again without question.

Hotel was very nice, modern and clean. I felt it was an excellent value. The fellow that checked us in at 12:00am was very courteous and helpful. He spoke excellent English and was extremely polite. We had to park in a non hotel owned parking garage directly across the street. Apparently the hotel has some parking available on-site but you have to reserve when booking (or arrive earlier than midnight) because space is limited. The parking garage was reasonable for indoor city parking. It cost 32euro for the 36 hours I was parked there. Metro and shops were a short walk away. It was a decent location for us as we like to walk around and explore. I would recommend this place and would stay again.

Unique surroundings. Very special rooms. Nice windows. No airco and the noice from other rooms is more than usual. Usually a reception is open all day. Here it only opens at 15h00, so there is no possibility for early check-in and lockers are behind closed doors.

Great apartment in a great location. The place was equipped with everything needed. It was very modern and comfortable. The only downside is the noise from residents above or nextdoor. Also if you choose to use the car park provided by the hotel, it is not at the same location. The car park is a shared lot situated a couple of mins walk away in a residential block. You will need to check in prior to parking as you are provided with a fob to access the car park. This will then need to be returned after check out, and after you remove the car. Be aware that there is no parking bays directly outside the hotel. However there is a public car park (Reep) opposite.

Did not match the description. No laundry as promised in amenities on Expedia website. Kitchen is minimal. Poor WiFi. We count on things like this when we are on long trips. When hosts are sloppy or misrepresent details it can be very inconvenient for travelers. Expedia postings are becoming less reliable.

This hotel is in a quiet area. It is close to tourist attractions. It is clean but there is no air conditioning. There are free lockers to store your luggage as you wait for check-in or after your check-out.

My family of 5 all got bed bug bites. Awful. Other than that, the room was beautiful and the location was perfect.

Kamer kon iets properder (heel veel stof rond bedden/naast zetelbed). Zeer behulpzaam personeel, gemakkelijke en vlotte check in en check out. We stonden aan parking Ledeberg geparkeerd omdat alle andere parkings vol zaten.

The room was old and not that clean. The furniture has stains and the wall has dead bugs on it. (Misquote).

Very pleasant stay! We had one issue with a leaky shower - this was either due to faulty design or a slow drain. We spoke with the host in at the reception desk - very friendly, and they gave us extra towels, though it wasn't something they could fix right away. Generally, a very sweet place - an easy walk to everywhere.

Terrible fecal smell from the shower. Unbearable. There are a lot of rooms, many of which must go unused causing problems with adequate water flow. Worth inquiring about this if you decide to book here. Otherwise the beds were adequate. It feels like a dorm. There’s a 25 euro fee if you don’t wash your dishes. I wish we would have stayed more central.

Great bed, amenities, clean

The location is great however our hotel room smelled like sewage. The hotel doesn’t do any cleaning during the stay.

No reception staff passed 11:30pm. The next day I went down to the same young lady, who checked me in, and explained the condition of the room and about finding two cockroaches, one walking in my hand at 1:30am and the other one hiding under the bed, she just told me she will let the cleaning crew know, but nothing else can be done in their end.

We had a Deluxe Studio. It was nice, well equipped and clean. Unfortunately there were a few flaws. No air - very stuffy. We tried opening the windows and that helped considerably but it also let in all the mosquitoes from the breeding pond on the roof outside our window. (A flat roof outside our window had a large water patch sitting there) We spent the rest of the night getting buzzed. The shower door also lacked the drip strupnat the bottom making the entire floor wet after a shower. I would guess the external facing rooms would be a much better option but....I'm not sure we wil take the chance on our next visit.

Very big room, with your own kitchen. Convenient for longer stays as you can make food for yourself. Depending on the room you get, it might be somewhat noisy if you are close to the elevator.

Pretty decent accommodation, however needs air-conditioning as it was extremely warm and stuffy with no airflow even when windows are open

The shower leaks all over the floor in all 3 rooms we reserved No coffee maker. A toaster would be nice. Very dark. Brighter light bulbs would be nice! But excellent location, beds very comfortable and overall it was very good.

Το δωμάτιο ήταν φανταστικό, αλλά κάποιες λεπτομέρειες όπως φθορές στους τοίχους θα μπορούσαν να είχαν φροντιστεί. Η τουαλέτα είχε plexiglass και αυτό ήταν άβολο γιατί φαινόσουν από το κυρίως δωμάτιο. Τέλος αν άφηνες άπλυτα πιάτα χρεωνόσουν 25€ , όχι ότι θα άφηνα αλλά το θεωρώ ακραίο να έχω άγχος για ένα άπλυτο ποτήρι.

Chambre spacieuse et jolie. C’était propre et fonctionnel pour 3. Très proche du centre de Gand. Bémols : l’isolation phonique entre les chambres. Beaucoup de bruit la première nuit.

Clean, and fine. Not a very comfortable bed nor pillow. Great location though for the Xmas market

Our biggest negative comment would be that the shower door did not seal, so the bathroom flooded every time we showered and there was no drain on the floor. Other than that, there is no A/C and the glass bathroom provides very little privacy, but we were aware of both of these things when booked.

A great find in the centre of Gent. This is an unusual hotel in an old seminary building which has been stylishly converted inside. If you want something that mixes old and new, as well as being very convenient for the centre of Gent, this fits the bill. The studios vary in shape and size, are clean and well organised. The hotel itself was spotless and all staff were friendly and helpful. Check in and out were smooth and easy, one in person, the other a simple key drop. Having a local map built into a convenient key pouch was a nice touch. What follows is a caution and has not impacted my review of the hotel itself. My party had two rooms and unfortunately these also accommodated at least one mosquito in each, resulting in multiple bites. This must be a common issue, as the hotel food and drink vending machine included an anti-mosquito spray. Obviously this is a difficult thing for the hotel to deal with and is not their fault, but it is worth being aware of this possibility if you suffer reactions to insect bites.

Perfect location, very friendly staff at the reception. Easy check inn

No reception staff until 3 pm. And no access ton the lobby either. So, no where to stay comfortably to wait for your bus, transfer or chexk in time. Not good!!!

I cannot complain enough about this hotel ! We arrived in the evening and left our bags and went out to a bar, when we returned and went to bed we realized that there was a bunch of ants in our bed ! we went to the reception Lobby and asked them if we could change of room, the girl at the reception said that: 1) she believed us but that they have all rooms booked ( which I don’t think that was true) 2) that she can give us product to kill the ants as if we could spray product into the pillow and sleep with the product in our faces. 3) that why we just have realized about the beds and asked us if we have bringed any food !! As if it has been our fault !! After one hour and a half she accepted to change us of of room. At the next day we had to change of room again because the second room was “bigger “ than the one that we have previously booked. We said that it was not fair because we had very limited time and had to take a train to Bruges. We ended up loosing our tour because we spend one hour to be changed to the room no.3 . The people of the hotel were very rude and two of them even said in English that I was crazy and asked my sister if she was American because Americans are very peaky. The second night there were a lot of men really wasted drinking outside the rooms, one guy even broke a window and pee outside one of the rooms. A lot of guest asked the people in reception to call the police but they just said that they could not call the manager because was really

Zentral gelegt, sehr sauber schon, minimalistisch eingerichtet. Wir hatten ein Problem und sind vom Manager liebevoll gwholfen worsen.

Wouldn't return here. Dreadful and unfriendly staff, terrible room. Simply awful

This hotel had easily the largest room that we have ever had for a hotel stay, while also being very clean and comfortable. The staff was very accommodating and helped us with any requests, such as helping us with taxis and providing an umbrella for us when we weren't prepared for rain. As for location, you will need to take a taxi from the train station, but everything in the city center is very walkable, making exploration simple. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would choose them again if we return to Ghent in the future.

Had a wonderful 3 night stay. Great location with fantastic rooms which were very clean and well presented Had an issue on night with noise due to either the guttering or building cladding knocking against the wall due to the high wind and rain. But reception moved us to a new room with no fuss and we had no further issues Would stay here again

Everything was nice, until it clearly wasn't. We stayed one night and had to wake up at 8AM because of noise right next to our appartment. There was a crane and it was construction work time in the inner courtyard. We waited a bit, hoped that it would be over soon, but it wouldn't. A lot of workers were in the courtyard, so it must have been planned beforehand. We had to wake up and get dressed and went to the reception to talk about it. They were sorry, apparently it wasn't them, but their neighbors. They offered to change our rooms, but we were about to check out at 11AM anyways. We just wanted a good night's sleep in a hotel, which was not meant to be. We filed an official complaint, but neither refund nor compensation was granted. We were not excepting a complete refund, but even a small compensation would mean that they cared about the comfort of their customers. They didn't. Overall it was a bad experience, but Getaway Studios took no responsibility for it, which made it even worse.

Great hotel to stay if you are exploring Gent. We are a family of four with two younger kids and it was perfect. Walking distance to all the historic sites and great neighborhoods. Very safe area. The hotel was very clean and the staff was great. We loved it.

We will definitely stay here again. The apartment was spacious with high ceilings giving a bright airy feel. And also bigger than we expected. Bed was very comfortable. Stunning old building with history. A few minute walk to the heart of Gent. Carpark right across the road which is handy but not cheap.

Great location and price!

I originally had a different hotel booked but changed to this one at the last minute since it was closer to the city center and I read another review saying how it was very close to a parking garage. It ended up being ideally located, especially its proximity to the parking garage. The exit door from the garage is literally across the street (literally a few steps since it isn't a wide street) from the entrance to the hotel! The hotel room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, there was a kitchenette in the room, and it was close enough to walk around the city. If you just need a place to sleep, this is just fine. It's clean, comfortable, and affordable. If you do plan on driving, be aware that the hotel is located in a "low emissions zone" so the vehicle you drive must comply or you can be fined. Google "low emissions zone" and Ghent to fully understand what this means if you plan to drive! I would definitely stay here again.

Clean room and walk to all the landmarks

Lovely apartment right in the centre of Ghent. All cooking facilities if required. A great location because the public car park is just opposite the property

Hotel was fantastic and exceeded expectation, the area is super quiet, and the parking outside (Reep car park) is perfect. Would recommend to park here and not the hotel parking as that’s 5 mins away. But the parking outside is £6 a day more expensive (better to pay this for convenience) The street it’s on is the best location so no outside noise, then 30 second walk down the street and you’re in the hustle and bustle, surrounded by amazing architecture. The room came with microwave, kettle, ironing board and iron, hob too with all the plates crockery and cookware. I have to say, I would definitely be staying here again. Only one thing is the bathroom windows are quite transparent. For us it wasn’t an issue going as husband and wife. Other than that, couldn’t recommend this enough and will be visiting again.
