My sister and I stayed here for three nights and were overjoyed at our space, and especially at the hospitality from Laura. This is a substantial home in an absolutely beautiful walk friendly neighborhood. We walked to Cedar Park two days in a row to enjoy the sculpture garden and the art museum. We walked daily in the neighborhood googling at all the different homes with their beautiful façades and gardens. Laura prepared a lovely continental breakfast for us each morning with French press, coffee, local croissants, and muffins, yogurt and fruit. That coffee was so good. I did yoga in the front courtyard in the afternoons and felt like I was at a fancy spa and resort. Two big thumbs up for this place.

Laura was an excellent host! This was my first time staying at a B&B. I was nervous about it because I am sort of a germaphobe, but Laura really made this an awesome experience! We had our own super clean area with a bathroom and a sitting area. In there was a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. I will always remember this trip!

Check in was super fast and easy. Room was very clean and had lots of teavel broshures and the host had made a list of peraonal recommendations that you could read at your leisure. We really enjoyed our trip and would definitely recommend the Laurel. It was in a quiet neighborhood but only a few minutes from most of the attractions.

Our stay at the Laurel Bed and Breakfast was wonderful. From the moment we arrived, Laura was a kind and lovely host. Despite our late arrival, she stayed up to greet us, ensuring we were comfortable and familiar with the space — she gave us a tour and a helpful list of neighborhood spots. Throughout our stay, Laura struck the perfect balance of being available to answer questions while giving us plenty of privacy to enjoy our time. The accommodations were spacious and comfortable for two people — you have plenty of room to lounge, rest and get ready. The only minor suggestion we would make is a potential upgrade of the pillows for an even more restful night’s sleep. This isn’t a deal breaker however and everything else was truly fabulous, and we would happily stay here again! Thank you, Laura, for a wonderful visit! We’ll definitely be keeping this on our list for future trips to New Orleans.

Laura was a tremendous and gracious host during our stay in New Orleans. The location, the home and our accommodations exceeded our expectations – as did Laura who shared her knowledge, experience and recommendations for the type of “off the beaten path” experiences we hoped to enjoy. City Park and all it offers – incredible grounds, NOMA, the outdoor sculpture garden and more are a short, easy and safe 5–10-minute walk from the home. Getting to and from downtown (The French Quarter, Jackson Square and more) was just as easy for us via the Streetcar and bus services, so there was no need to fight for or overpay for a parking spot. All in all, we had a wonderful time, and it was made even more so by Laura. We not only hope to stay with her again, but highly recommend Laura and her home to anyone considering a trip to New Orleans.

We arrived and Laura had everything ready for us, a great breakfast of warm muffins and croissants, yogurt, juice, and coffee. The house is super cute and the area we had was perfect. We had our own entrance so as not to bother anyone else. We had an issue with our check out days plans and she was very accommodating! If we are in town again we will for sure stay here.

The property is in the City Park area. We walked to the Park for a wedding/reception. Totally safe area. Quiet, little traffic and neighborhood nice. Totally recommend. Streetcar access is close. Laura told us how to access it and we had no trouble. Property is lovely.

We went to NOLA to see a musician that I love. My wife found this VRBO spot. It was not in the French Quarter, so it was quiet and away from the crowds...but only about 10 minutes from the Quarter. There are a lot of cool restaurants and clubs near by. Walking distance to the streetcar line. The proprietors were very nice and talked to us during breakfast. It's not a full on hot breakfast, but it is fresh pressed coffee and we had fresh croissant and muffins from a local bakery. It was nice. We had a private entrance to use to the house. If you're looking for a nice place to stay, away from the tourists, I would highly recommend the Laurel.

Quiet neighborhood for a restful night’s sleep. Friendly host who offered suggestions of things to do. Was nice to have breakfast served each morning - pressed coffee, juice, pastries, yogurt and bananas. TV had lots of stations so we could watch NCAA tournament. Don’t miss the sculpture garden at City Park nearby.
