This hotel has such a cool vibe. So tastefully decorated. Very comfortable room. There isn’t any onsite parking. But, there is street parking and a lot fairly close. The bathroom was chilly. But, I had everything I needed and I would definitely stay again. Close to shopping and eating. Makes for a great weekend getaway.

Favorite boutique in Kansas City! The hotel is a beautiful house in the arts/museum district that has been converted to an artsy hotel. No staff on site, but they are on call. We had a wonderful stay at The Aida. The two bedroom was like a little apartment, perfect for a family of 4. Cutest lobby that felt like your own living space, stocked with espresso coffee and delicious la madeleine cookies. Truly a Kansas City gem!

Hello! Your boutique hotel is beautiful! 5 star decor! The Casper mattress was a dream! A few suggestions I would like to offer, we stayed on the third story in 3B. The bathroom was very dark and like a cave. Cold and dark. I would definitely add some more lighting and possibly another heater next to the toilet since the back part of the bathroom was very cold. Heated floors would have been perfect for that bathroom but I do understand it's too late for that. Night lights in the back of the bathroom and maybe something that stands out that catches your eye a little better with the low ceilings. We live in an old house so we do understand about attic rooms. Adding some kind of convenient charging station on each side of the bed would also be nice. When we went down to the lobby for coffee, the machine was out of water. We looked for some kind of faucet or a pitcher of water to refill it. I ended up having to go back up to the third floor for the water. I did expect to see a powder room on the main floor. It makes it inconvenient to go all the way back up when we were enjoying the beautiful lobby. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The Aida hotel is exactly as described- a peaceful, comfortable hotel within walking distance to either the plaza or Westport, and amazing art museums literally outside your front door. From the moment you walk in, you are surrounded by well curated art pieces, carefully selected furniture and an atmosphere of luxury. The owners were very responsive with a few minor requests- I’d had back surgery and needed extra pillows- they were there when we returned to our room nicely placed on the freshly made bed. The grounds are lovely, with beautiful landscaping and a small pond/bird bath that provides a sense of solitude despite being in the middle of everything! You are greeted with Donsuemor madeleines and Nespresso coffee in the “common” area on the first floor in the morning, with apples that appear to be picked or chosen from a local market, and each evening there is an unassuming bottle of prosecco with small glasses for you to imbibe. All very lovely touches that add a flair of hospitality. The rooms are lovely, with darkening shades and VERY comfortable mattresses and pillows. As mentioned after back surgery a few weeks prior I was nervous, but with a pillow to support my knees I slept like a baby! They provide sound machines, the doors have sound-stopping door runners and it is so peaceful. No slamming doors, elevator dings or sounds of loud kids running down the halls. That being said, this is NOT kid-friendly. My husband and I would absolutely come back as a couple.

Having previously lived in KC for 20+ years I knew the area I wanted to stay. My research lead me to this newly opened Gem of a property (2023). The beautifully converted three story property did not disappoint. From the quality finishings to the upgraded amenities and prime location, this is a must for your next KC visit. Check-in is automated and you receive access codes to the main entrance a room via email. Unfortunately, I wouldn't not recommend staying here if you.have mobility issues due to there not being an elevator and the distance and steps from the street. Other than that, if you like historic, eclectic properties you've found it! Without hesitation, this property receives my highest recommendation. AAAA++++

This hotel is stunning—the common living areas, the guest room, the veranda and garden. The location is convenient to restaurants and shopping. Be aware that there are three floors and no elevator. Totally worth the climb up the stairs!

I loved our stay here, the home.. our room was beautiful cozy and welcoming. My only grip would be they have the parking blocked off and we had to park in the street. But honestly everything else made up for that.

This was the first time we stayed at a location where you did not have someone checking you in but were just given access codes. It worked out perfectly. Although there was no one present, we lacked for nothing. The room was clean and organized. You were able to have your room made up if you chose to. If you needed additional amenities they were easily accessible. The one question we had, we called the phone number given us and we got a live person on the other end, so refreshing. The hotel had a beautiful character about it and the owners really put some thought into its setup. I guess the ultimate compliment is to say we WILL be back, because we know of a fun unique place to stay. Thank you Aida for making out trip even more fun.

The aesthetics of the place are fantastic and the owners have taken a beautiful piece of architecture and created a very fashionable experience that fits right into KC's art district culture. Worthy of note, the contactless entry is truly the height of convenience. That said, there's an unmistakable sacrifice for form over function in some basic areas. There's a bit of a smell in the room we suspect comes from a venting issue with the property (smell comes from the sink/shower drains). The closet the toilet sets in is too small for seated operations (I'm 6', 210lbs). There's a lovely butler's service with a book display sitting by the door where a fridge/microwave/coffee service should likely go. There really aren't enough eateries within walking distance.

For most people the room would be fine, but if you are over 6’ tall you may run into some bumps. Doorway to bathroom is about 6’1” tall, and sloped ceiling on one side makes that even shorter as you enter. Plus it’s all painted black so take caution when entering. Shower head is a downward rainfall type shower and is maybe 5’10” high. Very cramped shower and bathroom. Bed is very comfortable. Renovated mansion with few amenities of normal hotel, but comfortable. Must be able to climb stairs. All entrances have stairs and rooms not on 1st floor are stair only. Overall, if you are able bodied, average height, and like the B&B feel without the breakfast, this is a great spot.

Aidan hotel is in an excellent location and the room was spacious. However I was on the top floor in Room 3b and it had some negatives related to comfort. First the ceiling has lower parts due to the roof. Unfortunately the bathroom portion is painted on black with inadequate lighting I hit my head s few times and then was sure to always bend down to avoid that issue. The lighting was low and absorbed by the black paint so I could not use my hand razor to shave as the lighting was too dark. On the positive side the bed was quite comfortable and the bedroom quite nice and not dark.

Outstanding in nearly every respect. Elicited genuine surprise and delight from the moment of arrival. The hotel is a beautifully restored historic residence with lovely period details and superior contemporary interior design and furniture in a great location. The hotel has contactless access and service so don’t expect a boutique experience like you might find in some hotels with that label but it’s not missed here because you can see the care that goes into every detail of the operation. Example: the hotel provides a high-quality handheld clothes steamer in every room. One of many nice and thoughtful considerations. The only issue we had was spotty internet service—probably not the fault of the hotel. The whole experience is beyond the conventional. Highly recommended.

The room was incredible. It was not just clean but beautifully decorated and cozy. It was exactly what we were looking for for a night away. The bed was comfortable (probably the most comfortable hotel bed I have slept in) and we even had little Christopher elbow chocolates waiting for us on the bed. It was the little touches that made the stay so lovely. You can also explore the sister hotel, The Truitt during your stay which is within walking distance down the street. The instructions for check in were easy to follow and seamless. Overall highly recommend!

The bed was comfortable (probably the most comfortable hotel bed I have slept in) and we even had little Christopher elbow chocolates waiting for us on the bed. It was the little touches that made the stay so lovely. You can also explore the sister hotel, The Truitt during your stay which is within walking distance down the street. My husband brought me here for my birthday and the grounds are gorgeous. We then woke up to multiple photographers and models roaming around and creating noise and an uncomfortable environment. All things considered, the Aida is beautiful but we were left wanting more in terms on noise/smell consideration and a sense of privacy.

The room we stayed in 3B was a decent experience for the most part. Location is the greatest for visiting local museums, just a few minutes walk away. A few minimal things with the room. During our stay it was between 20-30 degrees F outside. The heating in the room (even maxed out) struggled to keep up leaving the room cold and especially the bathroom. Even with both the heaters maxed out. Wife’s biggest complaint was the cold and lack of a area with good lighting to get ready. The room and bathroom even with the lights at max, are very dim.

The Aida hotel is exactly as described- a peaceful, comfortable hotel within walking distance to either the plaza or Westport, and amazing art museums literally outside your front door. From the moment you walk in, you are surrounded by well curated art pieces, carefully selected furniture and an atmosphere of luxury. The owners were very responsive with a few minor requests- I’d had back surgery and needed extra pillows- they were there when we returned to our room nicely placed on the freshly made bed. The grounds are lovely, with beautiful landscaping and a small pond/bird bath that provides a sense of solitude despite being in the middle of everything! You are greeted with Donsuemor madeleines and Nespresso coffee in the “common” area on the first floor in the morning, with apples that appear to be picked or chosen from a local market, and each evening there is an unassuming bottle of prosecco with small glasses for you to imbibe. All very lovely touches that add a flair of hospitality. The rooms are lovely, with darkening shades and VERY comfortable mattresses and pillows. As mentioned after back surgery a few weeks prior I was nervous, but with a pillow to support my knees I slept like a baby! They provide sound machines, the doors have sound-stopping door runners and it is so peaceful. No slamming doors, elevator dings or sounds of loud kids running down the halls. What an amazing property and experience. This hotel was a dream. Great communication from the property owners. They have a contactless check in where they text you the codes to enter the property and there's a separate code for your room. I felt like my room was a luxury suite. Entering into the hotel, it took my breath away when I opened the front door. It's an incredible mixture of model and classic. There's a piano with a neon light fixture in a large sitting room to the left. On the right is a beautifully appointed classy sitting room. I had room 1B that was GINORMOUS. When I walked into the room my spirit felt peace and calm. It had a minimalist charm with an elegant flair to it. The mattress was a super comfortable foam type (think Tempurpedic) mattress was perfect, because I have a nickel allergy and it just summoned me to crawl in to take a nap. The bathroom is huge and had an interesting door that is propped open, that you can push open from inside of the bathroom, but not pull open from outside. There's a large TV in the room that I never used. And, there was a fireplace with lots of seating options. The bed had chocolates on them. Great coffee bar and snacks. The owners were very responsive and gracious to a minor issue I had, which was awesome. We can't wait to go again. My criticism are very minor: There are stairs that you must use to enter the place, and most rooms require stairs. And, linen could improve but it was definitely comfortable.

I really enjoyed staying at the Aida. We arrived earlier than expected and Ryan the owner allowed us to check in early which we really appreciated. The hotel itself is very unique and cool. I loved all of the artwork and furnishings. It also smells great and has music playing which adds to the ambiance. Our room was super nice. It was very spacious and the bed was really comfortable. There was also a beautiful box of Christopher Elbow chocolates and complimentary bottle waters which was really nice! The property was in a beautiful area close to the Kansas City Art Institute. The decor was amazing! The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. We came to KC for a concert at the Uptown Theatre and it was only a short Uber ride to the venue. The gardens looked great with a couple of water features, but unfortunately, it was too hot to be outside. Great place!

The Aida is stunningly gorgeous. The neighborhood was charming and easy to find and park in. The owners were communicative and responsive (I didn't get the check-in emails from hotels.com so they had to send separately). I wish I had been able to stay longer so I could just luxuriate in how pretty the room and lobby was. The only downside was lack of a fridge (to store leftovers). I am going to try to incorporate style tips from the Aida and the Truitt (their sister property) into my home.

We had a wonderful stay at The Aida. The two bedroom was like a little apartment, perfect for a family of 4. Cutest lobby that felt like your own living space, stocked with espresso coffee and delicious la madeleine cookies. Truly a Kansas City gem!

A charming place with comfortable beds. The bathroom layout was a bit challenging- tight squeeze at the sink. It would be nice to have coffee in the room rather than having to navigate downstairs for it. The common spaces are beautiful. I would stay there again.

Hello! Your boutique hotel is beautiful! 5 star decor! The Casper mattress was a dream! A few suggestions I would like to offer, we stayed on the third story in 3B. The bathroom was very dark and like a cave. Cold and dark. I would definitely add some more lighting and possibly another heater next to the toilet since the back part of the bathroom was very cold. Heated floors would have been perfect for that bathroom but I do understand it's too late for that. Night lights in the back of the bathroom and maybe something that stands out that catches your eye a little better with the low ceilings. We live in an old house so we do understand about attic rooms. Adding some kind of convenient charging station on each side of the bed would also be nice. When we went down to the lobby for coffee, the machine was out of water. We looked for some kind of faucet or a pitcher of water to refill it. I ended up having to go back up to the third floor for the water. I did expect to see a powder room on the main floor. It makes it inconvenient to go all the way back up when we were enjoying the beautiful lobby. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

As other's have stated, this boutique hotel goes above and beyond with the little extra touches. Gourmet chocolates, rain shower, premium bath products, and (my fav) Nespresso! Loved my stay, only wish it was longer. My new go to spot for my monthly stay in KC. The street parking is convenient, safe, and super easy. Cannot beat the tasteful decor - I felt like my business trip was refreshing and relaxing! All very lovely touches that add a flair of hospitality. The rooms are lovely, with darkening shades and VERY comfortable mattresses and pillows. As mentioned after back surgery a few weeks prior I was nervous, but with a pillow to support my knees I slept like a baby! They provide sound machines, the doors have sound-stopping door runners and it is so peaceful. No slamming doors, elevator dings or sounds of loud kids running down the halls. That being said, this is NOT kid-friendly. My husband and I would absolutely come back as a couple.

From the moment you walk in, you are surrounded by well curated art pieces, carefully selected furniture and an atmosphere of luxury. The owners were very responsive with a few minor requests- I’d had back surgery and needed extra pillows- they were there when we returned to our room nicely placed on the freshly made bed. Absolutely loved staying here. I agree with all the other reviews on the good stuff. I also love the keyless entry. I’ve been traveling all summer and this is by far the best place I’ve stayed, despite a few nitpicks. The bathroom in room 3C is much too dark; there’s only a shared mini fridge on the first floor; and no decaf or herbal tea option. Even still I’d stay here again.

This place is excellent! Such a beautiful boutique hotel. Felt like what I imagine hotels were like in the old days before all the chains… but it’s very modern with check-in and such. Highly recommend for a different type of stay!
