Excellent 4-night stay at Citadines. Location is a convenient 15-minute walk to tube stations or a number of buses a few minutes away. Room was excellent.Nice size, clean, handy kitchenette, room safe, and storage. Nice touch having free coffee & tea in the lobby (espresso machine), which was also a nice space to lounge. Staff were excellent at all times. Easy check-in and check out. Some good dining options nearby (bakery: Pophams the best; Terra Rosa great Italian and many locals so you now it’s good; Draper Arms for a good pub). We split our trip between this location and South Kensington- get two different flavours, different areas of Central London with different personalities and also from which to explore.

Clean and quiet. Great location. Gym and laundry room were well maintained and well equipped. Would stay here again.

I'm hesitant to give this hotel an excellent review, because whenever I give a good review the hotel price tends to go up. This is a great, hidden gem in London. It sits back from Upper Street in Islington, in a fun square with shops, restaurants and both a playhouse and movie theatre. This sounds loud, but it isn't. Islington is a charming area with a lot of personality. The room is very spacious and spotless and still looks brand new after a renovation in 2019. A big thing for me is the bed - so comfortable. I also love all of the light with the windows being basically the full width of the room. This hotel is not for someone who wants a lot of bells and whistles. If you are staying for a week, which I usually do, your room is serviced mid way through your week. There is no room service, and you can ask for a cart for your luggage. There is however, a laundry room and gym. The big, beautiful room, comes with a large closet and bathroom with cabinets and a shower that is actually enclosed - both of which you don't find often in London. The room also comes with a little kitchen. The place is surrounded by amazing food - just load the Deliveroo app and there's your room service. They do offer I nice light breakfast in the common area by the lobby, but I just stock up the kitchen with goodies from the nearby Sainsbury. The service is great. I want to call out Maria and Rianna at the front desk who were both very helpful during my stay.

Our room was large and I loved the area of Islington. We were able to get coffee and tea all day long in the dining area.

Friendly staff Late check out Decent fitness room Modern Walking distance to the Emirates Stadium - an excellent choice if you travelling to watch Arsenal games. Close to shops, restaurants and a couple of metros. Cleanliness can be improved with some with some crumbs on the carpet and a string of hair in the bathroom. Overall, I have already recommended a couple of friends and will go back again.

Modern, clean, quiet, comfortable studio apt. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel/apt. In fact, this stay was a return trip. Always good hot coffee in the lounge.

I love the location of Citadines Islington but after only being open for a few years it is clear that upkeep is needed to keep the rooms fresh - as they already look tired. Specifically the bathroom has shower dampness that affects the molding and floor, as well as refreshing the room from molding due to damp and paint touch ups are needed. It is not cheap to stay here and the condition of the room did not live up to the price despite the great location.

The staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was spotlessly clean. I was there for a few days for work and it was great to have the kitchennette so I could have breakfast and dinner in the room.

It was a great place, great location, pretty good price. It did however have a disgusting surprise in the canister containing the toilet brush. Other than that, very comfortable and decently priced.

Spacious calm studio in a great location Very clean apart from the cover of the sofa which was filthy as I discovered when I had to blot some water I'd spilt on it. A bit of a YWCA feel to this place but plenty of diversions nearby. Expensive, but I'd recommend this Citadines for a stay of more than a couple of days due to the convenience of having a kitchenette.

I’ve stayed here a few times and it’s usually very good. I payed for an upgrade so I could work from the lounge and the room hadn’t been cleaned very well. The bathroom wasn’t up the usual standards either. For the upgrade my room was on the first floor and when I opened the bedroom window at night I was awoken by people outside in both nights of my stay. Not a great visit this time

Not a fan, total faff getting in the room despite my partner having the reservation details and then the room was hotter than Hades…… if you’re charging these prices you could at least invest in the air con. Won’t be returning in a hurry.

Location was excellent. Close to bars/restaurants but in a lovely safe, quiet street. The bed was super comfy. Shower good. Wifi great. Extremely happy with the kitchen facilities. Looked out the window to see a beautiful Japanese garden! ASR is the way to go now.

Hardest bed I've ever experienced... everything else was great.

The room provided was not the room I booked it was an accessibility room with a shower too low for me to get in as it was designed for wheelchairs and the sink too low for me to use without going on my knees!

I had a great stay. The AC was particularly wonderful with the summer heat.

Great accom. Perfect location if you’re going to be spending time around Islington but also if you’d like to head into central London it’s a quick commute. The rooms are comfortable with high ceilings making them feel more spacious.

We spend 12 days there. It was our second visit. Pleasant place and staff. The only negative was when i asked for an hour extension for check out, from 11 to 12, the concierge would not guarantee it. After spending what we did for 12 days there you’d think that would have been easy. Poor customer service.

The staff were kind and attentionate except one and unfortunately he was the first man we dealt with at the reception: Peter (grey hair). He tainted our opinion of the hotel with the way he treated us when we arrived. We arrived around 1PM on Saturday and had written the hotel the day before to request an early check in (instead of 3PM), knowing quite well it could not be possible. We had a kind answer from the hotel saying they would do their best to accommodate us even though they couldn't guarantee. When we arrived, after a red-eye flight and a 1,5-hour metro ride, Peter was at the reception. After normal names and passport questions, we asked if by any chance the room was ready? Peter's answer was word for word: the check-in is at 3PM. We told him we knew that and that we had written to inquire for the possibility of an earlier check in. Peter repeated very slowing and loud, as if he was speaking to someone slow or someone who didn't speak English (we are Canadian): THE CHECK-IN IS AT 3PM. In order not to start arguing with the guy who seemed to be doing a solid power trip we asked him when he thought the room would be ready. He told us that we could sit around or go for a walk and call in around 2PM to check if the room was ready. We decide to leave our luggages and walk around the area. When we came back an hour later, I went to him and asked if the room was ready. He told me; sit down and wait. He then went in the backstore and looked at something on his mobile.

Great location in Islington. Right in the centre. Nice large room. We had a problem with the air conditioning initially which was rectified very quickly. Will use again.

my studio room was very spacious. I didn't wind up using the kitchen. My biggest problems were that the room was kind of spartan, ie could have used a rug or something to make it more cozy, and the staff were not particularly welcoming or helpful...I had to beg them to help me call a cab, for example. I think it might work better for someone who really wants/needs a kitchen--for the money, there are much more comfortable hotels throughout London. I do like Islington, which has a lot of posh shops, places to eat, pubs and other amenities.

Thanks to all the wonderful staff, we had a great 10 day stay. Property is clean and stylish. Excellent dining options along Upper Street. Bus stop to central London is right across the street at St. Mary's Church. Less than 10 mins walk to Angel station. Definitely would stay again next time we are in the area.

Excellent location!!!! Easy access to transportation links. Hotel is not on a buy street so quiet at night. Beds were so comfy and the air conditioning worked well. Hotel staff was very helpful. Lots of amazing restaurants nearby! Will be my go to hotel in London, UK NOW!

This apartment hotel really met our needs being in a convenient location for us which was quiet yet a few minutes walk to public transport, supermarkets, and restaurants.

Wonderful place! In town for a conference at business design centre. Great location to venue. Plenty of restaurants and at least two grocery’s stores nearby. Will stay here again!
