Le Grand Quartier was very nice in the fact that it was tucked in a quiet alley, in a very busy Paris neighborhood. It always felt nice to turn onto our street and leave the hustle and bustle behind us. A few things to consider-though I think most of it isn’t Le Grand Quartier in particular, but even with air conditioning, the room was quite hot. I was warned by a friend that air conditioning isn’t quite the same as in the US. Another disappointment was the rooftop. I got to see the sunset from it once and it was gorgeous, but then it was booked for private parties for the rest of our stay and I never got to see it again. Overall, I would recommend this hotel. It’s close to anywhere you’d like to be, but far enough that you could sleep peacefully too.

A warm (v early morning) welcome at check-in. Great staff all round. Comfortable clean room and a comfortable bed and an excellent shower with Molton Brown soaps/gels. Fluffy towels too. Good varied breakfast. Roof terrance where you can take your own drinks/snax etc. 5min walk to the Metro and 10min to Gare Est. Plenty of places to eat/drink close by. We’d stay there again!

Staff are super friendly, location is great. Very walkable to metro, bakery and restaurants. We had the Terrace suite and it is very spacious with a good size outdoor terrace. The hotel has good on site amenities with a restaurant, work space and a small fitness area. A few notes: The hotel room runs on the warm side, we were told that they typically set their thermostat at 24c during summer season and 27c during winter. There might be some communication error on this. The sofa bed was not a queen size as advertised. It was a double. Also, there is no hot water the morning we have to depart. Considered everything, I will still go back to this hotel and the general experience was great!

Pros: Excelentes instalaciones, son muy serviciales, las camas son perfectas y todo muy limpio. Contras: dos días a las 6 AM sonó la música de la terraza a todo volumen y nos despertó, y el viernes el bar de la terraza está abierto hasta las 12 AM, y también entra todo el ruido a la habitación.

Loved this hotel…like an oasis in the desert. The street it’s on is a bit sketchy, but the hotel itself is lovely. Great breakfast and outdoor terrace. Feels new!!

Nice, big and clean room! Very comfortable bed, nice outdoor spaces in the courtyard and 4th floor to relax in. The fitness center has a couple of treadmills, bike and elliptical. Wish it had wifi and a section for floor exercises though! Overall would stay here again.

Great experience overall. I had trouble with my tv in my room and the front desk offered me another room that was an upgrade with a living room and a large bathroom with tub. The room was quiet, comfortable, and spacious. The hotel has a beautiful courtyard and a restaurant.

Spacious comfortable room, that was very clean. The room was clean and had good storage space, with a nespresso coffee maker and kettle. I had very quiet comfortable sleep throughout my stay. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. If I had to find anything small thing wrong it would probably be the hot breakfast options. The sausages and eggs didnt taste great, but i was late for breakfast and that may have impacted the taste. On the other hand the cold breakfast options were really good. The location was very useful if you are arriving in Paris via the Eurostar at Gare du Nord, as it is only 10 minutes walk away.

Lovely place. The only thing was the smell that would be in the room when coming back and not being there for a number of hours. If you didn't open the window some before you left, then you would have a weird what we believe to be a sewage smell.

The hotel lobby and rooms themselves were very nice. The hallways were very dark and sketchy at least on the first floor. unfortunately, we had several issues with the rooms in that the first one we were offered was dirty. The second one had a nasty mold issue in the shower and finally the room we landed in had broken AC. At this point as we were tired of moving around we settled for the third room, but needless to say it was not an ideal experience. In all fairness, we were offered a fan but for the price per night but overall it was not a great experience for the caliber of the hotel.

The hotel was surprisingly quiet. The room was pretty spartan and didn’t really have much in the way of storage for our clothes and stuff. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The staff was wonderful and very accommodating.

Loved the hotel experience, large rooms, nice tub/shower combo, updated fixtures, lighting was tasteful, quiet and secure building. Easy access and close proximity to both train stations. Only cons were the cigarette smoke coming in the window from the centre courtyard and the hotel restaurant being closed 2 days a week. Would recommend!

We were upgraded to a suite since they were out of the kings. Very nice and clean. Spacious also. They also kept our luggage when we traveled and came back to re check in. The next two night the air conditioning was not working and the rooms were hot. The thermostat is locked. Other than that, clean hotel. Walkable area and convenient location. Would stay there again.

We loved our stay at this hotel. It was a 5 minute walk from two different Metro stations and the Garde de l'Est train station. Loved the breakfast buffet and coffee. Boulangerie and bistros 1/2 a block away. Our room was a good size. The bathroom was small but had a great shower. The staff were so friendly, spoke English well, and were so helpful.

Very specious rooms, friendly staff, hotel is within blocks of Metro station, some great restaurants, and pastry shops. Our 4th floor room looked out onto the top of a near by church and picture perfect Paris roof tops. Perfect for photos. Will recommend this hotel to family and friends. 5-Star staff service.

A warm (v early morning) welcome at check-in. Great staff all round. Comfortable clean room and a comfortable bed and an excellent shower with Molton Brown soaps/gels. Fluffy towels too. Good varied breakfast. Roof terrance where you can take your own drinks/snax etc. 5min walk to the Metro and 10min to Gare Est. Plenty of places to eat/drink close by. We’d stay there again!

We had a taxi booked for 5 am for our flight to Florence on May 4. I told the front desk to book us a cab that accepted credit cards. The cab arrived at 5:15, 15 mins late. When we got to the airport he demanded cash. We paid 56 euros for a cab from the airport to the hotel. This guy charged us 65 euros cash. It felt like the front desk was getting a kick from the driver too. Left a very sour taste in our mouth.

The hotel is on a quiet street in a busy part of Paris. The hotel is modern, clean and also a good price. The reception staff were amazing, super friendly and helpful. They also upgraded the room without any prompting. However, the cleaning staff were too ‘efficient’ and continually entered the room each morning while still in the room. It was a big negative but didn’t detract from a lovely stay at the hotel.

I’ve stayed at Le grand quartier many times now. I come to Paris very often for work, so I have stayed at them all from low, mid to high level. I’ll be very honest, the hotel interior design is not my ideal taste. The rooms are a good size and location is also okay with easy access to different lines on the metro. What really makes a difference is Aly at the front desk. I have never encountered such a sincere and welcoming hotel staff. She is such a professional but also very kind to every guest. Because of my work I often need a bit extra service, because I am receiving and sending many samples from press offices. Most of the time it’s a huge annoyance and inconvenience to hotel staff. So I try to be as respectful and also helpful myself as I possible can to make the whole process easier. Honestly most hotel staff at even more luxurious hotels don’t care if you live or die. Most of the time great welcome but if you need anything out of the ordinary, it’s not really their problem. I totally understand, having worked in the service industry for many years. However Aly‘s positive attitude and willingness to help is outstanding. She makes it seem like it’s her greatest pleasure to help you find a solution. You never feel like you are bothering her, even though she is handling multiple tasks and check-ins at the same time. Because of her I continue to come back. Had the service just been okay, I would probably just pick another one.

Very specious rooms, friendly staff, hotel is within blocks of Metro station, some great restaurants, and pastry shops. Our 4th floor room looked out onto the top of a near by church and picture perfect Paris roof tops. Perfect for photos. Will recommend this hotel to family and friends. 5-Star staff service.

The hotel in general was clean and staff were nice. That being said I don’t believe it should rate 9.2 out of ten in Orbitz. Specifically, I was not trilled about area around the metro at the night. I had to go back to hotel early before sunset because I didn’t feel safe at night.

It’s my second time staying at Le Grand Quartier. It’s conveniently close to metro stations of Line 4 and 5, and the major station République is only 8mins walk away. Plenty of cafes, bakeries, pharmacies and popular restaurants nearby. Room is always immaculately clean and well-maintained. Staff is super friendly, welcoming and helpful too.

The location to Gare de l'Est was ideal. The location to the sights of Paris not as convenient but we knew that ahead of time. I loved the diversity of the surrounding neighborhood. The hotel felt safe and was very clean and comfortable. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. We would definitely stay here again if we wanted to be close to the train station.

This hotel is not located in the fancier neighborhoods or fashionable areas of Paris, but was a wonderful stay! We were 20 to 30 minute walk from almost anywhere we wanted to go and also have easy access to any of the transportation options Paris offers. Hotel is exquisitely, clean, quiet, has excellent service, and the breakfast was awesome! I can’t believe how reasonably priced it was!

Quirky hotel in the 10th arrondisement. If you are thinking to walk from Gare du Nord - its not far but the route goes through a dodgy area which may be okay daytime. The hotel itself is quiet and the rooms have been recently fitted out. The staff are all super smiley and friendly. If you can take care of yourself do stay here. If you are older or peace loving, I would suggest staying in a different area

The hotel is very close to a metro and train station and if you are a fan of walking can make it to the Louvre. The room itself was very nice, with a good sized bathroom. The hotel restaurant Babines is also very good.

Das Doppel-Zimmer und das Bad ist für eine Person ausreichend; bei 2 Personen besteht mindestens erhöhter Kommunikationsbedarf untereinander. Im Zimmer gibt es einen Safe. Außerdem eine Nespresso Kaffeemaschine mit kostenlosen Kapseln. Das Wasser gab es jeden Tag neu, auch kostenlos. Und es ist sehr ruhig!! Super Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und gut. Nur der Kaffee aus dem Automaten war schrecklich. Leider konnte kein Cappuccino aus der tollen Siebträgermaschine bestellt werden. Der Service an der Rezeption war top und sehr nett. Das Zimmer wurde Sonntags nicht gereinigt, das war für uns OK. Bei dem Preis hätte ich mir ein Handtuchwechsel gewünscht. Der Preis ist hoch, Paris halt. Fußläufig zum Gare d l'Est. Wir waren aber rundum zufrieden.

We were trying to get to the airport. When we arrived at the dining room, shortly before the posted breakfast hour we were turned away by the male attendant even though the croissants we wanted were laid out & ready. The front desk manger intervened & we got some food before we left but the irritation was entirely unnecessary! Rough neighborhood but the police station across the street was reassuring. Good value for the money.

We had a lovely stay but disappointed that the restaurant was closed for the summer holiday for two weeks. The room was large with a very comfortable bed and suited a family of 3. Staff were very friendly and the breakfast was great.

Very good hotel as it has exceeded my expectations. Staff was helpful and location is easy. The highlight it has a courtyard and sometime they have big corporate functions which could be noisy at night. Otherwise, it is quiet as it is situated in a quite street.
