Wilde Aparthotel is modern and has many amenities to accommodate comfortable stay during our visit to Edinburgh. The room has built in kitchen with all the kitchenwares, a refrigerator, a microwave, dishes and silverware. The air conditioner is comfortable. The bathroom is newly built and has a nice shower. The location is great with the Castle right there when you walk outside the hotel. Lastly the breakfast is great too.

This hotel is a gem. It is perfectly located on a quiet street at the beginning of the Glassmarket square. It is a modern and superbly designed aparthotel with all the standard amenities, including a nice gym and a guest laundry room. The staff were super efficient and friendly and the ground floor lounge has ample space for relaxing and socializing.

This place it’s near everything, location was great! It doesn’t have a restaurant but it does have a bar. Many Dining options very close by. Room was very comfortable and clean. Overall beautiful hotel. Breakfast options available.

We didn't have a car while we were here as there's no parking without a permit nearby. And it looked like the parking is for a maximum of 4 hours. But, the location is excellent! Very close to the Grass Market, Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle. Staff was very nice and helpful. She ordered a taxi for us and it came very quickly.

Although I only stayed for 1 night, I had a great stay at Wilde in Edinburgh! I would definitely stay here again. The facilities were very modern and clean. I particularly appreciated the on-site laundry (just a note though: you do have to pay via card and it’s not particularly cheap). The units were super modern and high-tech (e.g., automatic blinds, fancy control panels, etc.) which took me a little to figure out haha but were quite cool. Staff were very friendly and there is 24hr concierge/reception. It’s in a quieter section of grass market but highly walkable.

This was our first trip to Edinburgh, and the hotel was conveniently located to Edinburgh Castle and many restaurants and pubs. The property was very nice, the beds were comfortable and rooms were very quiet. The bathroom and showers were a little small but they served their purpose and were fine. The hotel has breakfast available which can be a good start to the day and a gym if you you need weights. Edinburgh is a very walkable city (we walked everywhere), so that was our main source of exercise. Just be ready to walk steps up to the castle. Anyway, the hotel is in awesome location, just steps away from many pubs and restaurants. It’s a very safe area and we walked at all hours. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to family members. Thanks again to the very polite and gracious staff too! Made the stay that much better having friendly faces and greetings each day.

This property was perfectly located and walkable distance close to shops and dining!!! In the room, the kitchenette and supplies were excellent with dishwasher in room. A bit disappointed with view which said castle view but could just see it if very close to window Only negative was dirty shower :( One lady at staff not very helpful

This hotel is in a great location and staff were friendly, but room was not in good condition. Upon arrival our room was visably dirty throughout, it was clear holes in the wall had been patched but not repainted, smell was overwhelming to the point it was hard to breate and bed linens were damp. Outdoor rooms are below street level on one side so are dark and damp. Condition of the room was generally rundown. I felt quite uncomfotable staying here with kids.

Absolute GEM in the perfect location next to all the things! The view of the castle was worth every penny. The staff was extremely friendly and fast to help with anything. The hotel itself was beautiful, so clean and well decorated. I will stay here anytime I come back to Scotland and would recommend friends and family to stay as well.

Very nice space. Heat did not work until the last night. so cold that staff brought a portable heater in on first day. Electricity seemed to make lights go on and off. Last day everything worked well. Very good staff. Excellent breakfast. I will book here again.

Wanted to like this place but issues with their fancy light and shade controls system (couldn’t turn off all the lights nor lower the shade) made for a challenging stay. Even the front desk couldn’t get the system to work.

Location was good. The room was nice but had some frustrating features like you have to turn on all the lights but can't turn them on selectively, and the room temperature was bipolar. Staff was inconsistent with information but there was at least 1 that knew the correct answer eventually. I expected more for the price, it seemed more like a hostel than an apartment.

Hotel was in great location and easy walk to the castle and Old Town. Room was clean and decent sized.The castle view is a castle view but you have to stain your neck to see it . I would stay again and recommend to friends but won’t pay extra for castle view .

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights and overall really enjoyed our stay. The room was beautiful with an incredible view of the castle. The area was phenomenal in terms of food options & activities. Our only issue during our stay here was we noticed on our first night there the blinds weren't closing (they're electronic). We told the hostess downstairs around 7pm and asked if someone to come fix it and she said someone would be there in 30 minutes. We waited until 8:30 and sent a whatsapp message to the number they gave us and just got an automated acknowledgement back. We waited until 9:30 and my husband had to go back downstairs to get an update. The man working the front desk at the time was so helpful - he came upstairs immediately and fixed the blinds for us. Besides that our stay here was fantastic and we highly recommend staying here.

The hotel itself was really nice, but the room wasn't great. At the time we went we paid almost 300 pounds a night. Everywhere was expensive, but like it's really hard to justify everything for that cost. If it was less, I wouldn't complain. The pillows are really uncomfortable. The electronic blinds didn't work. There was something leaking in the bathroom. And there was just enough grime on things to where it didn't feel that clean. Specifically the bathroom. They have the bed up against the window, so one person didn't get a night stand. The AC seemed to only blow freezing cold air, and it blasts on you, so I woke up, feeling very dry. If I'm spending 300 pounds, might as well spend an extra hundred and stay at the Hilton or something. The employees were wonderful, the breakfast was vast and the location was good, but the room, not great. Maybe we just got a really bad room. Maybe we went at a time it was packed and cleaning up between guests was very difficult.

The only downside to comfort was for the person not on the outside of the bed, there was no room to climb out except for over the other person still sleeping, or to go out the bottom of the bed. That could be a challenge for people. Other than that, everything was great.

Was here on a Saturday in September! Noisy road, poor sleep due to ongoing drunkenness outside my castle view window. Could sleep in 15 minute intervals. Sunday was quieter. Location was excellent though.

The hotel is clean and modern, but the king-sized bed is placed against the wall, so one person has to scoot or crawl out! In addition, the mattress is placed on a platform, so once you scoot or roll off the mattress (to avoid waking your companion), you must then scoot across a wooden platform in order to be able to stand. This is a serious design flaw! Both people should be able to get into the bed comfortably! The bed was comfy- once you are in it! The 2 furnished chairs are hard wood, and you can watch TV only from the bed! The modern had no directions and the thin white curtains did not block any lights, or the early sunrise. Groovy decor should never take the place of comfort.

We arrived at the hotel having prepaid 5 months earlier to be told they had cancelled our booking to which we were entitled to a refund. Not particularly impressed by their actions and we informed them we weren’t moving until they found commensurate alternative accommodation which they finally agreed to but not without the fight first. Bookings obviously got hot and expensive during the fringe and this hotel was keen to seek profits rather than customer service.

We got to this hotel around midnight and our room had no working heat. The bedsheets had hairs on them and the fridge was empty. The lady on duty was very nice but it took 2 hours to get new sheets which we changed ourselves. She said housekeeping would come the next day but that didn't happen. Then the manager told us he would refund our first night. He didn't and is now not responding to any of our emails or phone calls or messages. Nice.

Not being familiar with the area we made the right choice. The hotel is in a perfect location. It’s at the foot of the castle and it’s at the top of the grass market. It was a stone throw to the pubs and restaurants and shops on the Royal Mile. We had a nice living room area, comfortable beds. The heat was a little tricky to work, but when we asked for help, they came right away and solved the problem.

Didn't enjoy the ai assistant. So much easier if someone could have talked to me and helped me with the shower. Anyway one of the cleaner's helped me in the end, she was very kind. Staff downstairs were 'too busy' to help me. I won't be staying again nor recommending the place.

The property is plenty nice, very updated, and great location, but in all honesty the staff made our visit the absolute best! The staff were so very friendly, helpful (in particular Beth and Monica!). We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!!

Loved it all!!! Ship,clean, very well managed property in a great location in Edinburgh. Easily walkable to Grassmarket ( a few steps away), concert hall , new town, trams , train station and Royal mile/ old town Delightful staff - fun,accommodating and very helpful.. Great facilities . And ...our room had a stunning view up to the castle!! Cannot wait to come back!!!!

Beautiful small hotel in perfect location right next to the castle. You can walk everywhere. It’s off the main road, so it’s also very quiet, we slept with the windows open every night. I also loved their very cost effective option to add early check in and late check out. I’ve been already recommending to my friends and colleagues!

The room was very nice and comfortable I would have given it 5 stars but the breakfast let it down. No fried egg on offer only scrambled and it was like rubber. Streaky bacon looked under cooked. They offered black pudding and haggis but no square sausage or potato scone. It’s a Scottish hotel and the Scot’s do a fabulous square sausage so why wouldn’t you do it. There was only 1 price of £16 and if you only want a croissant and tea you pay the same. I would definitely go back but I would give the breakfast a miss

Very nice hotel with a beautiful bedside view of the castle! Rooms are clean and contain all needed amenities. The air conditioning was good, and we loved having a large smart TV. Very convenient location of course, and the breakfast buffet was very nice. Guest laundry service was also an added bonus and staff friendly.

The room & facilities were great. The location was perfect- great view next to the castle & 3 min walk to Grassmarket. The breakfast was a bit of a let down - £16.95 for a full breakfast & half of the items were missing - had to ask for them to be topped up & then had to wait almost 10 mins for them to arrive. Most of the other items were cold & our friend even asked for hers to be heated up in the microwave. Was not worth the £16.95

This hotel is great if you want to walk around and enjoy the area. Everything is very walkable... Our room was very clean, modern for the area. We did have one issue with breakfast, but the manager was quick to rectify the problem, so thumbs up.
