4pm check in is later than many hotels, but our room was not ready until almost 5pm. Great views and it's nice to be right on the Pier for sunrise. However guests should be made aware of numerous additional fees, not included in prepaid booking. There's a 3rd party booking fee, destination fee and facilities fee, over and above the incidental fee that they hold for 48 hours. Guests will be on the hook for around $75 extra (not including the $100 incidental fee that's eventually returned) and the 11.79% tax is added to all that. There are destinations I'm willing to pay an extra premium for, but these fees should be disclosed when booking. The hotel offers a few discount benefits, like a discount in the excellent Lirica Restaurant, a Ferris Wheel ticket, Children's Museum discount etc, but these are only good the day of check in or for date of a night stay. So if staying one night, it can't be used for breakfast. My complaints here could easily be fixed or disclosed, but sadly they seem designed to give dissappointing surprises to an otherwise enjoyable stay,

The location is great for Navy Pier and downtown lake events. The rooms are good size and offer great views. We found some confused with the elevator bays. There are 3 of them that access the 3 buildings so make sure to listen to which one to take for your room. Parking is expensive but comparable to other city hotels. Lots of restaurants and activities within walking distance. If your main purpose is to be in city center this may not be the hotel for you because it will take some walking and/or public transportation to manuveur out of the navy pier area. If you plan to stay near the lakefront this would be a great place to stay with access to beaches via walking path, museums via water taxi or walking. The Sable definitely gives you the vacation feel.

Plenty of options to eat at Navy Pier and parking was very close using the East garage. Hotel used texting feature which was great for any questions or assistance. Great view of the water from our room. Great location to access boat cruises and fireworks

After staying here, there's no other place in Chicago I'd rather stay than the Sable. Plus, you get a free ride on the Ferris wheel and a discount at the restaurant below the hotel. Amazing experience, highly recommended!

We enjoyed our stay at Sable Hotel. Great Area , nice view of lake Michigan. Close to everything. Not too far to go downtown. , Chicago River. By Uber. Friendly stuff. I enjoyed Delicious Empanada at Hotel Resturant Nice offshore rooftop Bar. I will stay here again.

Loved the rooftop bar and restaurant. The service at the Lyric Restaurant on the Pier was fantastic. The Saturday night Fireworks and Drone show was great. This is a great place to walk straight up into the city center, Michigan Ave. Also a great place to walk the Lake front.

I stayed at the Sable Hotel at Navy Pier for Valentine’s Day, expecting a special and luxurious experience, but unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. First, the water pressure in the shower was almost nonexistent, making it frustrating to use. To make matters worse, I noticed mold on the shower ceiling and floor, which was unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber. The overall cleanliness of the room was also below expectations. One of the most frustrating parts of my stay was the valet service. I had a dinner reservation for Valentine’s Day, but I ended up being late because I had to wait 15 minutes for my car. This level of service was disappointing, especially on such a special occasion. For the price and reputation of this hotel, I expected much better. The location and views are great, but the lack of cleanliness, poor water pressure, and slow valet service really took away from the experience. I hope management addresses these issues because right now, I wouldn’t recommend it.

The property is beautiful. Walkable and amenable and the views are amazing. We have a few complaints. 1. Shower area-water comes out and creates a puddle 2. HVAC system in the room is noisy 3. Toilet has to be adjusted in order for water not to keep running.. Everything else was excellent

It was good. Overall, the room was quiet. Bed was not comfortable. Guests only recieve 2 bottles of water per stay. To purchase small bottles, the cost is $6 in the lobby. Check in was easy. Check out was easy. I never recieved an email receipt for the stay. Frontvdesk was not overly friendly orcwelcoming. They got the job done, in part. I'd still like to have an itemized bill for the stay. Can't say I'd stay again. Room was clean Bathroom was nice, updated & clean. (No extra towels) View was great. We were one floor down from the top. Neighbors above were disruptive a couple of times. It was fine. Not great.

The hotel’s good in general. Clean, new, great view of the lake and convenient. The only issue I had was with the noise from other rooms. It seems that the hotel hasn’t done a good job sound proofing their rooms. I could hear my next-door neighbor’s conversation and the people walking upstairs.

Very cool room! Renovated and modern with a great view of the lake. Lots of shopping and dining attached to the hotel/pier. We loved the vicinity of the bus terminal for transportation around Chicago. Very far walk through the pier to actually reach the lobby. Be prepared!

All staff, and especially Ernest and the Valet staff were polite, accommodating, and went out of their way to provide an excellent experience! From sharing how to navigate my stay (where to find what) to answering all of my questions about fitness center access, food and fun - the entire staff made me fell welcome and valued.

The hotel is ok. There’s one actual restaurant and the food is average. Outside of that you can walk to the pier. The main advantage is being on the pier and the hotel really rides that as their main selling point because they can’t stand on their own too much. I stayed recently and had an extra 197 charged to my card that wasn’t on my receipt and I called to see what that was from. The guy who answered the phone answered with “hi. What do you need”. And when I said I wanted to confirm the charge he said what it was and then hung up on me. I’ve never had a hotel be that unfriendly. I work customer service so I know a lot of people can not be great on the phone. But that was unprompted and flat out rude.

The staff was wonderful. Very pleasant and helpful. They gave us a complimentary upgrade beacuse it was me and my husband's anniversary. The room was nice and big. I loved the view and all the windows. Highly recommend!

The staff was all very friendly, nice, and helpful. Made you feel welcomed. A special shout to the bell man (Nathan?) that greeted us. He was in his blue and orange tie and was so friendly and helpful. We came from Cali to see a Bears game and he helped us with things to do,

My main complaints are that the hotel charged me triple the amount for a damage or security hold before I checked in (charged 295.55 and it should have only been $100) and then they charged me that same amount again 3 days later after I stayed at the hotel. The air conditioning unit in the room is so loud it was hard to sleep. The only plus to this hotel is mobil check in, convenience to Navy Pier and the floor to ceiling windows. There are more nicer hotels in Chicago for less. I would not recommend this hotel simply because of the billing issues which are very inconvenient for me and the noise in the room.

While there The Sable was robbed. A group of men stole all of the keys from the valet. Unfortunately the hotel waited 5 hours before they notified any of the individuals staying at the hotel. We found out later that the Sable keeps the valet booth unlock and all of the keys exposed so, the hotel was an easy target. The Sable then told us to contact our insurance companies before the police even got to the scene and completed their investigation. This was the wrong thing to do as many of us were charged fees for lost keys. There were those who were running late for flights. I missed an entire day of my conference all because Sable did not notify us in a timely fashion. It wasn't until I went to get my car. That I was told that the keys were no longer there. The police concluded their investigation but only after much frustration. The service is horrendous. To add insult to injury, the last day that I left, as I was leaving, I saw the on duty valet guy sleeping in the lobby. My flight left early in the morning, so I was leaving at about 3:00 a.m. Instead of sitting in the valet Booth, he was in the hotel lobby sleep. I took pictures of him sitting there sleeping and I sent them to management. The service is extremely poor. I would never ever recommend Sable Navy Pier to anyone. The hotel is not safe and the management is poor.

The best hotel I've stayed in so far in Chicago. Loved the views and the facilities. Easy to navigate and close to all of the attractions at Navy Pier. Great location to explore the city. Ubers and cabs easily accessible.

My daughter and I had a great experience. Would definitely stay again. Free tickets for the centennial Ferris wheel daily and discounts off meals at Lirica restaurant on site. The only issue was the restaurant one night- we ordered carry out and it was not cooked properly. Restaurant’s fault- not Sable. The view, the view, the view was so amazing

I enjoyed the view from the room and being able to see Chicago’s skyline. However I didn’t like the fact that on a Saturday night the hotel rooftop bar closed at 9pm and also we had food we wanted to warm up and they wanted a $25 fee to use the microwave. The room was clean and modern and it’s nice being able to enjoy navy pier in the same building

Very friendly staff, and an amazing view for the summer fireworks. There's some wear and tear from the tourist travel, but the design of the room is nice. I really liked the bathroom stylings. The food was just okay, and pricey, but that is expected.
