Lakeside Lodge Clemson

More like a resort than a basic hotel. Love the amenities. Love all the space inside & outside. Live music. Great food. Beautiful grounds!

Beautiful Lodge, The room was spacious, beds were very comfy, loved the big shower with 2 heads. The kids LOVED the pool, and adults loved the fire pit area at night to socialize with other guests. Great location, close to everything Will definitely return. The only thing that was missing, no microwave in room, would have been nice to have one to heat up leftovers.

The pool should stay open a little later. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay

Stayed in one BR unit with full kitchen which was great! Blender worked perfectly for our daiquiris. It was a hot & sunny weekend. Pool was clean & plenty of chairs. Lobby & outdoor sitting areas nice & comfy during this busy weekend too. Would definitely recommend this resort. Can walk to shopping areas & casual restaurants like Ramen, Mexican & a grocery store. Safe parking.

Service in the restaurant was slow but the food was worth the wait The pool and hot tub were beautiful and the view of lake in the backdrop was magnificent

Clean, friendly staff, comfortable. I liked the pool outside with the pool bar. Onsite restaurant is convenient. On the lake. Aside from football weekends, the rates are very reasonable.

Stellar pool

The amenities are nice but the hottub isn't open past dark. My room didn't get cleaned the entire 3 nights I was there. I was just expecting more.

Room was spotless. Restaurant and hotel staff were always friendly and helpful. Amenities are great. Nice pool and pool bar with nice views overlooking the lake. Lobby bar and restaurant are nice and good place to watch a game. Fitness center could use an upgrade with more weights and cardio equipment. Overall we loved Lakeside Lodge and plan on being back.

Pool area is great although they never have a bartender out there and can’t do frozen drinks. This is a great option when visiting Clemson, great location. However there are no ice makers and the line to check in can be ridiculous. That said, we stayed there many times over the years our daughter was at Clemson and I would go back again.

Spotless room, great staff, and amenities

Room was dirty. Just generally not clean or well kept, but the most obvious was Huge glob of what looked liked chocolate frosting on the floor. It was late when we got in, went to bed bc no other option. Next morning i asked for the room to be thoroughly cleaned. Explained the state of things. Came back that night room had not been touched. When i went down iwas greeted with indifference, giy at the dest asked if he could bring me extra towels?? Will not be staying again, and I am in the area often with a student at Clemson. Nice property, dirty hotel and terrible service. A shame because there is a lot of potential there.

This was a beautiful property, however; our room and building was very dated. Also, while we knew they would not replace linens other than towels daily, but we at least expected them to replace shampoo, conditioner and body wash. There were dispensers on the shower wall but it was evident that they had not been used in a long time, were rusted and there was had on them and the wall that did not belong to us. We brought our own slippers and the bottoms were filthy after 4 days, meaning the floors and carpet had not been cleaned in some time. This is a dog friendly property, which is great, however; they need to be disinfecting these rooms after. There was a fridge, but no microwave in the room, which was very inconvenient for us travelling from out of state, and we threw food away because we had no way to heat it. The staff was very accommodating when we asked for things and were the real treasure about this resort. Sadly we had so much going on visiting family that we did not have the opportunity to take advantage of the amenities such as the pool, but I am not sure we would have anyway as this is very much a property for the younger generation. Overall, as long as your room is in one of the buildings that has is newer or refurbished, then you’ll probably have a better experience. The area and views were worth it although we would have lived there to have been more places to walk in the evenings.

Have stayed here several times and the beds are amazing but we have yet to have a room that needs a thorough cleaning.

A beautiful property with every amenity a body could want. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room was exceptionallly clean and very spacious. I give the Lakeside Lodge 6 stars.

The hot tub had a lot of big bugs in it. I had to use a towel to scoop them out before I felt comfortable getting in. I never could find the button to make the hot tub bubbly. There were no staff outside and I was already wet so I didn't want to walk all the way back into the lobby. The kitchen was nice until I realized that there was a really gross dirty crusty fork in with all the "clean" utensils. Luckily I saw it before I used anything so I just had to make sure to clean and scrub any dishes/utensils before I used them. One thing that was annoying but not the hotel's fault was how close they were to train tracks. I'd stayed here twice before and never noticed a train but this night (a Tuesday), a train went by multiple times in the night, waking me up each time (at least twice, possibly 3x?). Bring ear plugs if you stay.

The air vent was hanging open upon entering the room, the shower was dirty, the elevator smelt like an electrical fire and we couldn’t get anyone to bring us towels or answer the phone at the front desk.

Clean room, staff is always great.

I’ve been staying at the lakeside for three years, and I’ve noticed the cleanliness of the facility has declined over the years. The bathroom always has black mold in the grout in the tiles. I hope they can get back to the cleanliness of the facility that it was like three years ago.

The room and property were very clean. Excellent restaurant on site with reasonably priced meals. Many more food options nearby. Beautiful view from our room of the lake.

No breakfast available on a weekend before 10:00 am. Micro room is the perfect description. Very small but clean and nice. Good for one person. No place to really sit except on the bed.

There’s a train that goes by non stop. It woke us up constantly. It was terrible

The wi fi sux. I have stayed here twice and both times I ended up using my spotspot due to poor reception

I want to live this property. I really enjoyed the staff and amenities but it goes down from there. Rooms are set up great, how er the paper thin walls, the noise from traffic and blinds that don’t keep out property lighting made it hard to sleep. Oh well

Really nice! Only thing I didn’t like was the false advertising. The picture of my room showed a balcony overlooking the lake but we were actually overlooking the parking lot… also, can’t put air below 67… other than those two things it was great!

Large living area much better than a standard hotel. Very close to shopping and restaurants.

This was a beautiful place to stay. Very clean, staff was friendly, and the location was great. The apartment was very spacious with a nice view of the lake and pool. I would book this again and again!

High ceilings and big bathroom. Room was large and clean. TV remote had a sleep function!

Great room for the price. Loved the full kitchen and the shower.

Marie the front desk person arrival was the rudest person I’ve ever met

We always choose Lakeside when visiting our Clemson students. Marie at front desk is so friendly and accommodating. Property is clean, comfortable, and convenient.

Had major problems with people being very loud during the night. The room above us and the room beside us. Tried calling front desk multiple times and go no answer. Noise continued all night. Same thing happened Saturday night security guard took care of the noise Saturday night. Had to make multiple calls and go down stairs to get them to help. Spoke to manager she was very rude and disrespectful to me. She told me nothing was ever reported. I feel like I she be giving a refund.

Easy to get to and check in. Lobby was comfortable and welcoming. Hosts were very nice and helpful. Room was very large, clean, comfortable. Nice full kitchen, fridge and utensils.

The staff was very friendly and the Lodge and rooms were very clean and spacious. Restaurant on site was really good and the Fireplace in the lobby was great.

Worst hotel experience EVER. First room had a sewage smell. Dragged all of mine and my daughters luggage back to the lobby. 2nd room key they gave me didn't work. Back to lobby. 3rd room key they gave me was for an occupied room and the guest yelled at me. Back to lobby. 4th room they gave me was filthy. Back to lobby. Ended with a 5th room. Spent 3 hours on a Friday evening after a long day of travel dealing with this and nothing was offered to me even though I was told a manager would be in touch. Complained on my departure day that I couldn't blv no contact or compensation offered. Said they would give me 10% off of my 3 night stay. They should have comped me for the night that they ruined! Such a strange experience...I feel an actual hotel chain would have been better

I really enjoyed my stay! It was a great room and was very clean. The location is fantastic and was very close to the Clemson campus. The cost was very reasonable! A++++

Lakeside Lodge is a great option when staying in Clemson. While just outside the campus, it’s convenient and out of the hustle and bustle. The view of the campus across the lake is awesome! The restaurant on site is delicious but if looking for something a little cheaper, there are other options right there and across the bridge. I think I like simply because I never feel like I’m in a hotel when I’m there eventhough it is a hotel.

We always choose Lakeside Lodge while visiting our children at Clemson. It is beautiful, great amenities and so clean. No other hotel even comes close!

The property as clean and comfortable. Staff friendly. My disappointment was that this property is in a shopping center, with no access to the lake. Trees hide lake view in summer. No pets allowed near pool area. Everything is smaller than photos portray.

Restaurant was awesome

Great alternative to Hampton Inn. Better price/value for the room size and on-site amenities. Only change I would make is the bar/restaurant needs to be open later than 9PM. Especially when events are scheduled on campus and guests are looking for food/drink options afterwards.

Great two night stay. The bartenders were awesome!! Amazing tequila and Manhattan! The room (1 BR with kitchen) was clean and comfortable. I am staying at LL again this upcoming week... Looking very forward to another good trip.

Very nice property. Big rooms, clean. Friendly, helpful staff. Very convenient to the Clemson campus. Nice bar. Would have loved to have had breakfast there but restaurant does not serve breakfast.

We enjoyed our two-night stay at Lakeside Lodge during a family trip to SC for a graduation. Loved the view of the lake from our room! Although NO BREAKFAST is offered, the restaurant does serve outstanding dinner entrees.
