Overnight stay for Valentine’s Day. Room upgraded on arrival. Complimentary chocolate and cookies at reception. Plenty of references to the buildings history (magistrates court and prison) - ask a member of staff for guided tour! ‘Spoiler Alert’ look out for the handcuffs on the chandelier in the entrance lobby. Hotel spotless, and staff keen to be if service. We enjoyed our stay so much we booked for another night !

The hotel is stunning. The courtroom bar was interesting. The entryway staircase is beautiful. It’s right around the corner from tower bridge. About a 10min walk from the tube. The room was so large and spacious. We had people around us hut couldn’t hear anything, it was very quiet. The hallways can be quite a maze at first but once we found the room, it was easy going afterwards

Beautiful room with excellent fittings and features, awesome bed and shower . Great location within walking distance to underground and train station. Romance package was amazing for our special occasion and was no trouble for staff to organise. Would highly recommend and will be visiting again.

Room was decent, location within a short walk to the lodon Tower Bridge, lots of little stores close so amazing location. Gym is really good, has the things I like free weights and a pull up bar, really good service at the front desk

Dog friendly but no ramp at front steps. £50 charge (not on website) for housekeeping. Corner of Tooley is a very lively pub and a club. Narrow sidewalk and could get pushed into oncoming vehicles.

Very nice hotel. We booked a dog friendly room and the hotel is advertised as “dog friendly”. It isn’t. We checked in, went to the room and then went out for a walk, on the way out we were asked to fill in a form about the dog which asked for a £50 dog supplement! As well as a damage disclaimer. The document also stated that the dog was not allowed in any food and beverage areas! It was a shock to learn of the £50 fee and this should be clear on the website. We had to get a pizza delivered and ate in the room and had to cancel breakfast as we could not use the buffet. It was difficult to eat in the room as there was only one chair and a tiny table. There was a dog bowl and very small dog bed which was good and the dog friendly rooms are on the ground floor which makes it easier with a dog. However not allowing dogs into any other parts of the hotel makes it very awkward. Disappointing stay in nice hotel in great location.

Love that we could leave our bags when checking out so we could go to the Tower of London

The property is lovely. Great location. Friendly staff. What I did not like: significant steps to get to the front door, if you have more than a carry on, you will be in trouble. Someone is there sometimes but not always(in my case no one was there upon arrival or departure). Only one elevator worked while I was there. Thermostat did not wok in my room. I callwdnthree times, when the manger came, he tried fixing(it was extremely cold) but to no avail. Instaed of offering to switch my room, he offered to give me an extra blanket. When the blanket arrived.it looked like they just took it off another bed to give to me, He had to reassure me thst the blanke was clean. The hotel is lovely, my situation (blanket) is really just a matter of training.

Lovely hotel, checkin was simple and quick, the room was lovely, air con was good, it was clean, espresso machine in the room, good tv with chromecast, bathroom was lovely with rainfall shower and nice products. The hotel is gorgeous, I would absolutely stay again

Beautiful hotel in easy walkable area to London Bridge Station/ Borough Market, Tower Bridge & Tower of London. Staff were friendly. We had twin beds which were really comfortable. Shower was lovely & clean. Room was quiet.

Comfortable, clean good service

The Dixon is in a great location, staff was helpful and friendly and overall we enjoyed our stay. A few points that could have been better; upon check-in we were asked to pay a deposit but staff failed to mention only credit cards are accepted. This caused some anxiety as we tried several debit cards to no avail before realizing this. Secondly a bedside drawer was found to have medication and other items from a previous guest. Breakfast in the morning was insufficiently replenished.

The Dixon came recommended by a coworker. One of the first things I did once I left London was to thank him for the recommendation. The hotel was immaculate. Clean, the decor was beautiful, and the staff was fantastic. They had a room ready for me at 9 am which was a Godsend because we were on an overnight flight and got zero sleep. A short nap re-energized us so we could enjoy London that day. Thank you Dixon

The hotel is just next to Tower Bridge, which ist quite convenient to start your day from here and explore London. The breakfast was okay, but nothing special. The Caffe Latte tasted just like milk, so a good coffee after breakfast was the first thing needed. The staff could be more polite, especially at the reception. Worst part was opening the curtains in the morning, realizing there was a lot of mould on the curtains and an the window frame. You can‘t open any window in the room, so thats just naturally happening, but definetly not okay for a hotel in that price segment! Would not stay again. There are better rooms for that money in London!

Housekeeping no show for two days. Slow check in process

First impressions were really good however for a 4 star hotel the cleanliness was a slight let down, the main stair way was dirty, and more attention to detail in the rooms as it was generally dusty and still had hair on the floor from a previous occupant. Also the Tv didn’t have any streaming options or access to Netflix, Amazon Prime etc. And the Tv wouldn’t connect to any device to stream remotely. Breakfast was ok and just again general cleanliness under tables/floor area needs more attention. Staff were really helpful and friendly on booking in, and it was a nice touch to have our bags in our room when we returned to check in. The bed was nice and comfortable and overall the room was very nice and quiet too, apart from a the air conditioning system which was a little tricky to use/turn off. Overall though we had a nice stay for the short period we were there.

The room was nice, clean, and quiet. However, we were placed on the below ground level floor. All of the elevators require a guest key to access the rooms, but below ground level is totally accessible from the lobby via the gym/restroom stairs. They could have put key access on the door to the hallway where the rooms are, but did not take this small step. It would have given us much more peace of mind if they had taken this precaution. I would have given it an excellent rating if they had done this for their guests. If you book, request 2nd floor or higher for safety. It is a very small thing, but otherwise a nice Marriott hotel in a good area to see London.

Lovely room and comfortable bed

This location is unbeatable! The room was not up to Autograph standards and was fairly generic and minimalistic. However, I didn’t mind because the location was so convenient!

We booked this property last minute, due to not liking the original hotel we booked using points. It ended up being great! Walking distance to the tower bridge and the Tower of London. Many nearby restaurants, and loads of public transportation options. Only negative would be room size. You really had no where to put your clothes other than hanging them up. A small dresser would be appreciated. We had a King deluxe room

Hotel was in a great location south of Tower Bridge, so easy walking for all things on that side of the river. Half way between London Bridge and Bermondsey. We didn't have breakfast there as we preferred to go out, and only had bar snacks and drinks in the evening which were good. Seating on the raised area is comfortable, I found the lower area a bit draughty. My husband didn't like the background music, but he's old ;) Room and beds comfortable, Nespresso coffee machine was very slow and had to be pushed several times to get a decent portion. Bit disappointed that the milk wasn't replaced after the first day, nor the cups/glasses washed, but the bed was made and the bins emptied. Perhaps an oversight? Bit odd with the door to the bathroom sliding over the cupboard. Clever idea, except with the lighting being automatic so wakes the other person if you get out during the night.

We stayed in August it was not to hot out but our room a/c was not working at all. They changed our room for us the next day so that was great. The sinks in bathroom in both rooms clog to the point where you can only use them once until housekeeping comes and cleans the room:/ With 2 girls in a room this was an issue. Location is literally around the corner from Tower Bridge, so if you want to be in that area it’s great. Walk to subway’s is about 15 min. It’s a very historical old hotel that’s been renovated.

Great hotel. However, the rooms are not soundproof as described. You can hear people open and close doors all the time. Also, the hotel doesn't allow eating late in their restaurant. But otherwise a great hotel.

The hotel was lovely and the staff extremely polite and helpful. Tamang went over and above making our stay very enjoyable.

Staff very welcoming upon arrival. We were pleasantly surprised by how nice our room was. Breakfast was great with attentive, friendly and knowledgeable staff (one of the staff enthusiastically explained the history of the building before it was a hotel). First time staying here. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you!

Hotel would not honor the room type booking made and Jade me pay $50 more for a room that still didn't offervtge accommodations booked. Management needs to invest Inti training their staff, room cleaning was poorly done with F at age and dirty linens left, basics line new tissues or toilet paper were not replaced, transferring from one room to the “upgraded” room was a disaster from room selection to transfer of bags to coordination of timing to Mo W from one room to the other. The bar was nice and the service there excellent as was the location and overall condition of the hotel, but it only opened 4 years ago.

Excellent service room was amazing staff upgraded and left anniversary message with bottle of wine which was much appreciated will be coming back in the future

Having already paid through Hotel.com I was charged a further £216 by the hotel as they hadn’t received the money from Hotels.com. Im not sure whose fault it was but I had to wait 2 days until my money was refunded back into my account. Great hotel and staff but the confusion with payment soured my visit.

The location was stunning. However, the check in? We were asked what time we would like breakfast, which the staff knew we had not included in our package, therefore, they were about to add a further £36 to our bill, without checking whether we would actually choose to have it. Also, the gentleman I spoke to over heard me say that, on booking we should be told that photo id was required upon check in. There were 3 others checking in, who were also unaware. This receptionist, was clearly not listening to me and dismissed my comments as seemingly irrelevant, very unprofessional, as my comments were to help this process. I think it is a little over kill with the security, as most checking has already been done at this point and £50 taken as security however, if that is your policy so be it. When asking for a taxi 30 mins before we needed it, I did not expect it be another 20 mins. Traffic is always a nightmare in London but I do not believe that the young receptionist rang or contacted the taxi company very quickly, hence the delay. The train station is 13 mins walk away, so taxis are always around. At the time of booking, instead of looking me in the eye and saying, “Yes, I will do that right away”, giving me confidence that it will be done. She tapped furiously on the computer, without giving me any eye contact and left me hanging whilst I walked away thinking it would be done. She very kindly hailed a taxi for us, which we could have done, if we had known that was quicker.

Experience with staff and processes was poor, from check- in to check out. Was given a disability accessible room, and not informed or asked about it- only found out when I walked into room. Told I could only ask for a late check out the next morning. Randomly being woken up at 9am by cleaning staff, claiming a request was made. Even up to now a £50 hold from my card was made, and has still not been released 10 days later. When I asked for a receipt, was told I could not get one since it was a hotels.com booking.si hotebooking.

Amazing experience at the Dixon! The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. I had such a good experience that I cancelled my additional hotel stay just to rebook at the Dixon. The Dixon is now my go to hotel stay in London going forward! Truly splendid .

Staying in London while celebrating my sister’s birthday, who had accompanied me. Booked a twin room also put a note on the booking about the reason for the stay. Checked in and I feel as though I was duped. I booked a twin room, and when the receptionist asked whose birthday it is. I said it was my sisters. And he said he will try to do something for us. He asked if we can use a double bed instead of twin. So that he can upgrade us. To a room with a view. I thought he was being kind, he gave me two options, one was an accessible room and the other was a lower ground floor. I was told the view on the lower ground floor room was very nice. I believed him. It is safe to say it seems he didn’t have a twin room for me and wanted to put me in any room at all. Or he just lied. I was in room 6. No one would describe a white brick wall, as a view. On some of the sunniest days of the year, we kept the curtains drawn the whole weekend. Also I found it extremely difficult to call the reception. They take a very very very long time to answer the phone. I called at 4 separate occasions. One of which, was after I left the hotel. A few minutes after leaving I called to double check I would have the room cleaned. It was quiet around the hotel when I was leaving, I had the phone disconnected after a few rings at times or they were simply not answering, for 15 minutes. All in all the staff are not so good in my experience. But apart from that, it was a nice hotel. Clean and comfortable.

Great, friendly staff. Great location. Lots of restaurants nearby. Hop On Off bus stop nearby too.

The bedrooms are large and the amenities are great. Hotel is an attraction itself. Close to bus stop for easy transportation. Uber was how we mostly traveled to the underground and to/from.

Although you are so close to many London highlights, the moment you turn the corner to the Dixon you feel like you're in a quiet town. I loved the location.

A beautiful facility. Room size very large for London. A little pricy, but again it’s London. Close to Tower Bridge area including many pubs. Fifteen minute walk to London Bridge station and Borough Market.

Unique, character hotel. I can’t remember what room we booked, but I believe we upgraded a notch or two and our king room was a good size with a huge bathroom. Our friends booked entry level and their rooms were quite a bit smaller. Lovely staff. Enjoyed the bar. Good location; quick walk to the tower. You can catch the tube on the other side of the bridge, but apparently there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel that will take you to the tube station. If you walk to the waterfront there are restaurants, pubs, and shops.

It was a beautiful location. Restaurants left something to be desired. And room service was veeeeeeerrrrry slow. The shower was beautiful and bed was oh so comfortable

Everything was great. The building is amazing and the location ideal. The breakfast service was a little slow, but nothing to complain about. However, the price was something else. I think I could have got much the same at a fairer price by shopping around.
