The Bridge Pub & Rooms

This is not close to main attractions in London.It is in a suburb of Richmond, close to Hammersmith station( 15min walk, across the Hammersmith bridge.) You need to learn the metro system and should have no mobility issues to stay here.The stairs are narrow, no elevator , and steps can be dangerous if you are not paying attention.The rooms are clean and tidy,and AC goes to18C as the lowest temp. Walls are thin so you can hear your neighbor's noises.This is a pub hotel, so it is not a typical hotel No staff or lobby 24/7. The lobby is in the bar. If you are looking for a relatively cheaper room than the ones in downtown London, and don'tmind the commute,this can work for you. Specially if you just want a place to drop your luggages and sleep.The neigborhood is quiet

2nd time here and it was excellent once again. Close to shops, restaurants and transport. Parking is a massive bonus in this area of London. Check in is easy, staff are great and food is excellent.

Fantastic property, really well done. Check in was simple and really informative. Expedia had told us no breakfast available but then at the property we had cereal, tea, coffee in the room. Muffins, yoghurt and milk in a fridge at the end of the corridor - just what we needed to get us going for the day. If you want more from breakfast google had suggested a few cafes around the corner doing cooked breakfast. Bed was super comfortable. Bathroom (with shower) was clean and shampoo/shower gel provided. We were watching a show at the Hammersmith Apollo and this hotel was perfect walking distance (10-15 mins over the bridge) and away from the hustle and bustle of London nightlife. Only stopped for a quick drink in the pub but great little drinking spot and the dinner menu looked lush, hopefully we’ll be back in the future. Highly recommend.

Cosy double actually quite spacious! Nice bathroom, comfy bed. Windows dont open and the aircon does take a while so my advice is put it on straight away. There was a fan we borrowed, and a shared iron. Breakfast is cornflakes/musli. Milk in a communal fridge on a landing. Maid came and replenished bowls, cereal (but we were getting ready so not towels etc). Parking is street parking. I beleive a permit is required for 2 hours in the day mon-fri (their website says they sell them). Not applicable at a weekend.

The room was spacious and tidy but old. Walk to Hammersmith station . The rooms are on the first and second floors with no lift and exceptionally step steps. For my 85 year old mum it was not great or large suit cases. Had I known I would not have booked Younger stayers with the pub and staff it would have been fine

Very welcoming staff, excellent sound proofing as you are above a bar/restaurant. Rooms well presented and shower decent.

Two night stay for an event. Easy access to transport (short walking distance). Staff friendly and welcoming. Room was a decent size and shower room/loo was good size. Very clean and good quality sheets and towels (good size towels that were soft!). Easy check in/out process. Coffee etc available in room with real milk kept in fridge along corridor (not the little plastic tubs). Ate in the pub below the evening we arrived which was lovely and decent price for London - relaxed atmosphere. No issues with noise from the pub. We’d definitely stay here again.

The location is very nice, near the Thames, 10-15 minutes walk from the Hammersmith Underground station across the bridge. The establishment is well-maintained. The pub the night I was there was pleasantly busy and the servers were extremely nice. The room was small, even by London standards. Hard to imagine sharing it with two adults and luggage. The stairs a bit challenging.

Great beer garden and lounge - freshly cooked food, very good room and extremely friendly and helpful staff.

The rooms are over 2 floors. Stairs only to access and you need to carry your bag up. I was on the highest floor so wasn’t bothered by any noise from the pub which was busy! Room very comfortable and clean. Breakfast is help yourself muffins, cereal and yogurt in room and from fridge in shared area. East walk over bridge from Hammersmith underground station. Felt very safe area.

It was dirty in the room and bathroom corners etc. AC didn’t work and tv no signal. Staff were very pleasant Bed was comfortable and all in all an ok ish experience

Great location in a nice neighborhood, walking distance to transit and the Thames, restaurants nearby—and a good pub downstairs. Room was a bit dated and carpets need a thorough cleaning or updating but otherwise good.

Room was very comfortable and quiet. Very clean. Great location. Stayed a few times at The Bridge and it's consistently excellent - prices vary but usually it's good value for money.

Outstanding. Simply without fault. Exceptionally clean, modern and very well equipped. Bathroom immaculate. Beds were so comfy and had Egyptian cotton sheets, bath towels were soft and fluffy. 10/10

Overall it was a decent stay. We loved the area and felt very safe there, outside the city of London. However, the room itself was dingy, and there were a lot of little things that could be easily repaired. The tv screen was broken. There were dozens of scuff marks along the wall. The carpet was light, showing all the stains accumulated through the years. The shower in both corners had black mold growing. And the kettle was disgusting, it was still wet from previous use and moldy and dirty. We also stayed for seven nights and never got our towels taken, even when I placed them on the floor. And the bed was always remade but never had the linens changed. My wife spilled tea at one point and the spot on the bedding stayed, so we knew it hadn’t been changed once. Quite disappointing.

Lovely quiet location but the room I got was a bit ‘tired’ and the carpet looked dirty. However, good things are: a lovely shower and a good mattress + a coffee maker and kettle in the room. Thanks!

Good location, pleasant & quiet room (No.8). Overall we'll maintained & presented. Bathroom - water leak from toilet cistern, floor often wet. Shower - more thorough cleaning/bleaching needed, mould/dirt at base & corners of shower tray. Bathroom ceiling - flaking paint needs attention. Breakfasts - poor, VERY basic continental only, no fruit juice, staff seemed reluctant to replenish items. Would however stay again and recommend.

This was a great place to come home to every evening after being among the crowds in London. It is in a quiet residential community just off the river right across the bridge from Hammersmith tube station - which you can get anywhere from. It was small but very clean - nice fluffy big towels, towel warmer and clean fresh bedding. The room was above a pub so we were worried about noise but there was very little. Highly recommend!

The room was well appointed, clean and cozy. It was small with only the bare necessities but great for a couple of days stay. The staff is wonderful and welcoming, and I will happily come back again.

We booked a room for 4 nights SPECIFICALLY because their website said the room had a three window city view WITH a king bed. The room we got had neither. We had one window that overlooked a rooftop full of cigarette butts from a neighboring patio. The room had a double bed, not a king. When we questioned the discrepancy, we were told NONE of their rooms have king beds, despite their website saying they do. The other issue is that the room was miserably hot and humid. It took us three days to get the AC to cool the room to a reasonable temperature. We asked the staff for an electric fan twice, and were told they’d deliver one to the room - they never did. We were so disheartened with the room after the first night that we tried to cancel the remaining three nights and move to another hotel, but we couldn’t find a room on that short of notice, so we endured the remaining three nights. On a positive note, the Bridge in Barnes is in a really nice little neighborhood with a great breakfast cafe on the next block, as well as a good fish and chips shop. It is a 14-15 minute walk to the Hammersmith tube (subway) station, and that made traveling around London easy and economical. Overall, we give the Bridge in Barnes 5 stars for being in a great location (convenient, quiet, and safe). On the flip side, the room was a disappointment on several levels, so we wouldn’t consider staying there on a future trip. The room gets 3 stars.

Walls were a bit thin but other than this it was a lovely room. The pub is gorgeous and it’s very good value for money with breakfast included. There is a separate door to get to your room which is great so you don’t have to walk through the pub to come and go. Very spacious room and very comfortable bed. Highly recommend.

Lovely room with soundproof windows to ensure a good night's sleep.

Room had plenty of room for my daughter and me. Room was comfortable and quiet. Slightly tired in areas. Location was really good and great to have street parking on the weekend.

Staff were efficient and knowledgeable and the check in/out process was well done. Rooms were clean, tidy and well renovated and stylish in modern/classic Victorian style appropriate for the building. Nice bathroom and things like charging points by the bed and free tea & breakfast. I really liked the taps.

I didn’t like the fact that the windows did not open. The air con vent above my head was dirty It made the room feel very claustrophobic I asked to move to a room where the windows opened but this wasn’t possible

The Bridge in Barnes was in an excellent location for my visit to London on this occasion. The staff were welcoming, kind and helpful. My room was good with very comfortable bed and the shower room was good. I would stay at the Bridge again on another visit to London.

I did the pre online check in, to advise we would be arriving around 3pm. Due to traffic we arrived at 3:30pm. When we got there the systems were down, so the lady couldn’t tell us what room we were booked in, and then advised we need to wait for the manager, who’s in a meeting and would be 20 minutes. We had a table booking for dinner at 5:15, so conscious on time, we didn’t have a choice and said ok we will wait. The lady offered us a free drink on the house which was nice. 4:15, and the manager appears and a key was handed to us. 45 minutes later we attempted to head upstairs to our room, with no instructions on where or how to get to it. due to this delay, we had not enough time to get ready, and was late for our meal booking. This then meant we missed out on bottomless brunch we had booked as we were too late. Apart from that, room was a good size. And there is a major plumbing issue, as when the sink is on, the water does not go down the drain, and just sits in the sink.

Fantastic stay and they made great efforts to accommodate our baby. Will be back!

Top notch service with friendly, helpful staff. We checked in late and they offered ideas for food without pushing their own pub meals. The highlight was them calling us a few days later to inform us we had left some valuables behind. They then posted these to us at our request. They went out of their way - 5 stars overall

We went to a concert at Eventim and we chose the perfect hotel! It was clean and quiet, and close to the venue, cafés, shops, and parking. We really liked everything.

Lovely hotel in a quiet safe neighborhood a 15min walk to Hammersmith station. Extremely convenient and a pleasant stay

Excellent location for a one night stay when we attended an event at the Apollo (Hammersmith Bridge open to pedestrians but not traffic - so v quiet at the time of our visit). Good food in pub. Friendly service. Would book again.

Lovely pub to stay at, wonderful beer garden at the back, food is excellent and only a short walk from Hammersmith underground, will recommend to other Aussie friends traveling to london

Easily walkable from Hammersmith station (and therefore easy walk back to the Apollo) this was a nice clean stay with good food downstairs and a quiet night
