I appreciate the fact the property has an updated fitness room. While traveling, for me, keeping an excercise routine, however modified, helps me maintain a positive mindset. The Centric is an elegant modern property. The staff were helpful and friendly. I recommend staying here to everyone.

The hotel is well maintained and looks like fairly new construction. The rooms are nicely accommodated with subtle but thoughtful appointments such as heavy curtains which can cut off the sleeping area from the bathroom area (it helps block out light from under the door and nightlight in the bathroom). There were lights under the bed that turned on if you got up at night which were nice to help see without turning on the table lamp. The sink area lighting was a little dark if you have to shave with a regular razor. Housekeeping was very late on the third day, so my room was never made up. On my second day when the rooom was made up, the coffee bar was not refreshed and no washcloth was left. The room has a finished concrete floor which shows that it needed to be vacuumed (dust very visible under the TV console). The restaurant was very good. I had dinner and two breakfasts there and the staff and food were very good. The location is great if you like to walk (I walked to the art museum, Oregon Historical Society Museum, Washington Park, and several local eateries). The fitness room was rudimentary, lots of cardio machines. There weren’t enough mats (only two) for users to stretch on. Overall I would stay there again.

I had a lovely stay and I plan on staying here again in November. I asked for a late check out and the front desk was very accommodating! The bar area is lively with Amy at the helm. There are many areas in the lobby to sit down plus a little game area for the children. The area is full of shops and dining options.

The style of the hotel was industrial chic. The hotel is small and offers a small gym. It was clean . It is close to public transportation. There are a couple of restaurants nearby but most of what we wanted to do was on the east side of Portland.

A very relaxing hotel close to Powell's books and many restaurant options. Easy to find parking on the street, but best parking option is in the lot on 10th & Morrison (very reasonable pricing). Staff in the restaurant/bar were excellent.

Nice hotel. Strongly disliked the valet parking, but I guess that’s how it is in downtown. Every time they brought the car out the app asked for a tip. Nice hotel with nice amenities. Comfy bed and clean room. I would stay here again.

Great place to stay in Portland. Clean and nice room, good gym, great staff and many good restaurants near by in walking distance. Valet parking list price is a bit high, but look for hotel deal including valet for good value. Bed comfort and totally quiet air condition especially well above average.

The location was great, and the people were SUPER friendly. It was a big turn off to see dirty towels on both days, however. One had what appeared to be make-up streaks on it, and another had an orange crusted spot. :/

This property was not at all how it was portrayed on line. The person at the desk told me to be careful walking outside at dark. The room wasn’t clean, hair in sink and shower. Musty smell. Friendly staff. Only stayed for 1 night or I would have changed hotels.

The location of the property was within walking distance of a lot of things which was great! Staff were super friendly and welcoming, restaurant was pretty good. Unfortunately the rooms weren’t the best. The pillows were flat, the bathroom floors outside of the shower were filthy, the smell of the linens were overwhelming. Super bummed we definitely won’t be staying here again because the location is great.

on our first day, the duvet wasn’t tucked into the mattress, there was a dent on the pillow, and no bath mat in the bathroom. It wasn’t until the second day—when we got the bath mat and the duvet was properly tucked in—that I realized our room probably wasn’t freshly made on the first day. That said, it was still fairly clean. Another thing is that the ‘city view’ we booked seemed to just mean a higher floor, not necessarily a good view. We were facing a taller apartment building, so make sure to ask the front desk for a better direction, or the city view might not be worth the extra cost.

While I was excited to come to Portland for the first time to my son’s company event. I found myself greeted by nice staff but moments later rolling my sheets back to find blood stains on the inner layer of sheets on my beds (avoid the 13th floor) and I called front desk and was switched the same night. Next morning, as I got out the shower I noticed water was leaking from the back shower corner to the bedroom (room 1412) and formed a puddle near my suitcase. Once again I called the front desk and they sent up engineering, he confirmed there was missing caulk in the bottom corner and my third room would be ready by time I got back from breakfast with my son. After breakfast, I came back to find the puddle still there (three hours later) but my third room would be next door. Even after all this, no one at the front desk was apologetic or anything. The event and main reason why I came to Portland was great but next time I wished I would have read more reviews or chose a different place.

Spent a couple of nights at Hyatt Centric and everything was great! The staff is super friendly and helpful. The city views were AMAZING. We had zero issues throughout our stay. Would definitely stay again when visiting Portland.

You get what you pay for. Stayed here a few nights with low expectations however the amenities and staff where about what I expected. Room - got the Expedia treatment, lowest floor, closet to the elevator In room amenities - tv didn't work to be able to cast. When I called (had to call twice) got different stories with no solutions. They also left cleaning supplies in my room. Parking, paid 170 for 3 nights of parking that's okay but better be on point and felt like they were just going through the motions.

Friendly staff, clean, and great location. However, there are motion sensor lights under the bed that automatically turn on when you get out of bed. If you are sharing the room with others, this light will wake them up. Poorly thought out. Beds were also soft and lumpy.

I enjoyed the size and features of my room, and the AC unit ran quietly and perfectly. There is a streetcar at the front of the building that, when it runs over an access door on the ground, makes a VERY loud banging at very inconvenient and frequent hours. By night 3 I could tune it out, but my god, it was obnoxious.

The interior of the rooms was just odd. Why have a glass shower facing the room only to smoke the glass when there is also a privacy curtain? Barn doors on bathrooms are not good, too aurally transparent. The lighting in the room, especially in the alcove that seems to qualify this room as a studio or something, was terrible. Very much reminded me of a college dorm room

Before this hotel decides to GUARENTEE check in is at 4PM, they should focus on ensuring that you can uphold that statement to your incoming, expecting guests. I was told that my room would be ready at 4PM and when 5:15 rolled around it was STILL not ready with no ETA of when it would be available. Not only that, but there was ZERO compensation for the inconvenience. There were so many families in the lobby without a room available just waiting to be given the room they paid full price for. If you’re looking to stay here don’t bother, find another spot unless you want to be disappointed.

Overall, I had a terrible experience every night I stayed there. My key wouldn’t work, and they had a technician come every time to open my room. During a snow storm that knocked power out for thousands of portalnd residents, a ton of locals converged onto hotels for a place to shelter. The staff at Hyatt Centric is FANTASTIC and treated everyone with warmth and respect, all while the staff had to stay days at a time at the hotel without being able to go home themselves. Above and beyond the call of duty, and I appreciate and applaud every single employee for making the best out of a hard situation.

We loved staying at the Hyatt Centric in Downtown Portland. The staff was incredibly accommodating to my family and me during last week's snow/ice storm. They were able to give us a room quickly and worked hard to accommodate us. While they were understaffed and openly recognized that, they put in extra special touches such as giving us a lot of free snacks to accommodate us and make us happy. I can confidently say that the staff here cares about their customers and that the hotel is very well run. I'd definitely recommend the Hyatt Centric in Downtown Portland as a great play to stay. You will be treated very well!

The staff was absolutely amazing! Complimentary drinks for our recent anniversary and engagement, customer service was next level and employees opening the door for us countless times. This was one of our best hotel experiences during the most amazing life change and then one of the worst with my grandma passing away. The bartender was so nice, informative and made an excellent espresso martini! Hyatt will definitely be getting our business in the near future!

ABSOLUTELY loved it!! The hotel overall is beautiful and re modeled. The rooms were spacious and super clean. The bed was comfortable. Staff here are all super welcoming and helpful. The location of this hotel is perfect for downtown Portland. There are a lot of restaurants and stores at walking distance.(and metros/buses) There is a few homeless people but the hotel does a great job at keeping it safe and welcoming.

I had a lovely experience. The location is amazing and so many must see portland attractions like Powells Books and Voodoo donuts are a quick walk. There is easy public transit a step out the door, and train transit from the airport just up a block. The staff were helpful and super nice! I would be happy to stay again.

I would come back & stay just for the breakfast burrito at Covet PDX!!! It’s heavenly! Fantastic place to stay in Downtown Portland. Flew in for a show at The Crystal Ballroom & only had a 3 minute walk to the venue. Great staff & experience…Would totally recommend & stay again.

The hotel is well maintained and looks like fairly new construction. The rooms are nicely accommodated with subtle but thoughtful appointments such as heavy curtains which can cut off the sleeping area from the bathroom area (it helps block out light from under the door and nightlight in the bathroom). There were lights under the bed that turned on if you got up at night which were nice to help see without turning on the table lamp. The sink area lighting was a little dark if you have to shave with a regular razor. Housekeeping was very late on the third day, so my room was never made up. On my second day when the rooom was made up, the coffee bar was not refreshed and no washcloth was left. The room has a finished concrete floor which shows that it needed to be vacuumed (dust very visible under the TV console). The restaurant was very good. I had dinner and two breakfasts there and the staff and food were very good. The location is great if you like to walk (I walked to the art museum, Oregon Historical Society Museum, Washington Park, and several local eateries). The fitness room was rudimentary, lots of cardio machines. There weren’t enough mats (only two) for users to stretch on. Overall I would stay there again.

The hotel was well decorated, it was rustic but posh. The location was centrally located to several coffee shops, bars, and restaurants. Very walkable. I was upgraded to a nice corner view on the 9th floor. The staff were very friendly & helpful my entire stay. The customer service was excellent. The team at the hotel restaurant/bar were amazing. I am beyond pleased with my experience. I would come again & recommend to friends/family.

We had a great experience with the Hyatt Centric in downtown Portland, OR! The rooms were clean and comfortable with all the amenities we needed. The only suggestion we have is that it would be nice to have a safety bar inside the nice big shower. The staff was wonderful. I got to know Ari as I was trying to work out some issues with some changes I wanted to make to my reservation. She was so helpful over the phone and when we checked in, we were able to meet her in person! What a wonderful, kind, awesome lady she is!! Thank you!
