Travelodge by Wyndham Elkhart

Very clean, quiet place to stay. A short distance from shipshewana, near all kinds of restaurants. Walked across the street to eat dinner after being in the car for 3 hours. I slept through it, but there is a breakfast set up with, I think, bagels, toast,fruit, coffee in the lobby.

Was ok just one night was enough

Front staff not very friendly. Lots of homeless people hanging around outside. Fire alarm going off at 3:00 in the morning because people are going out the fire exit. Definitely didn't feel very safe. You want to park your car and run into your room. Will not return to this specific hotel.

AC was a below-the-window window shaker, which was fine -- but, and perhaps this is expectation, was difficult to regulate room temperature - typical of most hotels with this type of AC/heat. The rooms itself was spartan. The desk did not have adequate power plugs to charge the myriad devices we all have today. The room and bathroom were very clean. This is a hotel that is perfect for a work-trip where you only need the room to sleep and not much more. BUt for that, it is perfectly fine. The checkin person was masked -- I'm sorry, its 6 years after that nonsense. It created a sense of 'go away you scare me' - this has been my second stay at this property, and frankly, just becuase of that - I think I will stay away next time. I hate being treated like a contagen.
