We loved this little boutique apartment-hotel! It is quaint but updated and has a lot of character. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is in a safe and convenient area of town, right across the street from a little convenience store where we could purchase water and simple snacks. One block from nice coffee shops, ATMs, and a couple of blocks from a small grocery store. We had a 2-bedroom apartment that comfortably slept 5 people (1 bedroom had king-size bed and own bathroom, second bedroom had queen bed, another queen bed in main social area and a second bathroom) with a little kitchenette. The listing wasn't clear on number of bathrooms so we were happy to find there were 2 of them. It was lovely, very clean and very comfortable; the furnishings looked new and updated. The listing for the apartment said it had a twin pull-out sofa too, but it was actually tiny and could only work as a bed for a child, This was not a problem for us as we were only 5 adults, but it certainly wouldn't accommodate 7 adults. The only minor issue we had was that the air conditioner started making loud noises and leaking in the middle of our second night there; we had to turn it off. But they sent someone to look at it that same day. Weather cooled down on the 3rd night so we didn't need to turn it on again. Do keep in mind that this is a 3-story building with no elevator, so if you have issues with stairs, request a ground-level room. The bigger apartments are on the top floors.

Increíble atención por parte del portero, muy buena ubicación e instalaciones impecables.

Nos gustó el trato. El que la puerta de entrada se mantuviera cerrada. El que al tener un cuarto al interior con patio no tuviéramos ruido.

Es una casona antigua que opera al modo de una especie de AirBnb sin recepción, pero con guardia de seguridad.

Noisy at night, my aparment was facing Leibnitz street due to the suppliers of a big hotel Camino Real and Leibnitz street is the back door of that hotel. The other issue was the apartment was on a third floor with no elevator and one of my kids with a leg sports injury it was complicated to get up and down of the apartment. We like the location, decorations, cleanness and attention of the security staff cause there is no lobby at all we only saw cleaning personal and security staff.

The premises are beautiful, unfortunately staff were very rude. When I made my reservation I paid for a queen size bed, yet, they hosted me on a room with a full size bed. I talked to Jose Eduardo about this. He works reception. He said he wasn’t able to do anything about it. Then I asked to talk to the manager, Jose Eduardo said the manager would give me a call back but she never did. Another thing to notice is that they have a bell that guests have to ring in order to get inside the premises. There is no other way in. One night around 2 am a guest was ringing the bell for a long time and staff never opened the door for her. She ended waking us up by knocking on the guests windows asking us to let her inside the premises. So if you are a light sleeper like me and don’t want anyone to disturb your sleep, don’t book at this place. It’s a shame that this beautiful place doesn’t have good costumer service.

El lugar esta hermoso, muy acogedor, te hace sentir en casa, muy limpio, con vigilancia 24 horas, la habitación comodisima con todo lo indispensable para tu estancia y hacer el check in es muy fácil, además de ser petfriendly, nos proporcionaron camita y platitos para mi peludita

Es un lugar pequeño pero muy lindo por dentro Cuando llegamos pensamos que estaba cerrado pero solo hay que tocar el timbre Salimos a un concierto y aún así nos abrieron la puerta a eso de las 12-1am Muy gentil y amable el servicio y te daban referencias de lugares para comer y visitar cerca La habitación amplia, bonita y limpia, todo excelente!

El lugar es muy bonito, las habitaciones son muy cómodas y limpias. Los únicos inconvenientes fueron que nos hospedamos en una de las suites del cuarto piso y no cuentan con elevador, nos fue complicado porque llevábamos un menor, carriola y varias maletas, (el personal muy amablemente nos brindó ayuda en algunas ocasiones). También como sugerencia deberían tratar de mejorar su servicio de agua caliente en las regaderas porque salía 20 segundos agua caliente y luego varios minutos agua helada haciendo imposible bañarnos en un corto tiempo.

We stayed at Acapulco apartment which has 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, sofa, dining table. Hotel is very clean, staff is very courteous and the hotel is very well located to move around easily. I fully recommend it. My family had a wonderful stay.

Es un hotel pequeño. Los vigilantes Giovani y Jose Luis son muy amables. La primera noche pasamos en la habitacion 15 y las siguientes 4 en la habitacion 5 debido a que nos movieron de habitacion pues la primera noche recibi dos picaduras de un insecto (encontramos una araña y una chinche) y tuvieron que hablar a su proveedor de fumigacion el cual llego a las 8:30 de la noche y dijo que no podiamos continuar en esa habitacion pues tenia que empapar el colchon. Acudi al dr la mañana siguiente pues mi mano y abrazo estaban demasiado hinchados recibi una inyeccion y tratamiento por 7 dias. Lo malo de esto es que jamas pude hablar en persona con su gerente. Solo me pasaron su WhatsApp y por medio de mensaje le hice saber lo que me sucedió. No puedo decir que disfrutamos nuestras vacaciones. Y en general puedo decir que aparentemente es muy bonito y limpio y me imagino que me toco la mala suerte de que me picara la araña a mi. Ojala que cambien de proveedor de fumigacion y tengan mas cuidado con eso. Y por lo menos el gerente debio de haber ofrecido una disculpa minimo. No recibí jamas nada

Realizan la limpieza una vez cada 5 dias. En mi estancia de 4 dias no realizaron nunca la limpieza de la habitación. La higiene es básica en este tipo de establecimientos.

Limpieza mala , pelos en la cama al destenderla el primer día. El agua de la regadera difícil de controlar.

En general, todo estuvo muy completo y se admitieron mascotas. Las habitaciones eran amplias y cómodas, y contaban con servicios como cafetera, microondas y nevera. También había televisión y caja fuerte. Los baños eran excelentes y el ambiente era limpio y cómodo.

Good: people at the desk were friendly and the room was reasonably clean. Now the bad...The spouts spat at us regularly; water shoots all over the place- several times per day.Worst is that owner isn't a normal human. We had the room for 6 days straight and then learned there would be a major snowstorm on our return and getting stuck in the airport for the night on our way back was going to be real, so we asked about extending for one day at same\xa0rate from our 6 day stay. They would not do this for us. It's theirs and they can do what they want, but in 20 plus years of travel, I've never met an owner who wouldn't accomodate a long-term traveler in some reasonable way until now. Rooms available, so space not an issue. So as to not spend hours moving, we booked an extra night with them online. We were again charged the cleaning rate of 222 MXN, plus the daily rate was higher, so in the end, we paid around 340 MXN (about $20 USD) above original rate; stayed in the same room. Never any talk about rebating the cleaning fee. I WOULD NOT stay here again because if a business can't treat its clients as human, they won't receive my money. I hope the reader considers this review in deciding about Casa Castillo. Please spend your money with truly human owners. I hope our extra $20 USD and this review is worth it to Casa Castillo!!

Estuve en la habitación 1, muuuucho ruido toda la noche. Y la regadera tenía agua caliente en momentos solamente. Muy mala experiencia cuando lo que buscas es solo un buen baño y decansar la noche

We stayed at Acapulco apartment which has 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, sofa, dining table. Hotel is very clean, staff is very courteous and the hotel is very well located to move around easily. I fully recommend it. My family had a wonderful stay.

Very noisy facing a main street, location was good for our needs, neighbourhood was great, room was great but small

This is the perfect little hotel except for one fatal issue: It is located directly across the street from the loading docks of a major hotel/conference center. Trucks with idling engines, refrigeration units, etc. are backing into the bays at all hours of the night. It’s loud non-stop. I could not sleep well for three nights. Too bad because the staff is very nice and accomodating, the hotel itself is great and the location very good, otherwise, wedged between Reforma and Polanco.

A great building, nicely curated inside. However our room had a lot of street noise & could use better black-out curtains. Bed was small and room lacked enough pillows. Front desk was manned by security guard who was mildly helpful when requested water bittle for 2nd night.

Casa Castillo is great if looking for a budget hotel in the heart of Mexico City. It was perfect for my stay.

Sinceramente, nos gustó mucho. Si bien la habitación es de tamaño reducido, tiene TODO lo necesario, incluyendo frigobar, microondas y batas para baño. Restaurantes, tiendas de conveniencia y parques a unos pasos de distancia. El único "minis" es que no tiene estacionamiento propio, pero en fin de semana no es tema porque hay bastante espacio en la calle. Un punto a favor es que el personal de recepyes sumamente amable y agradable. Bien!

Excelente ubicación, muy bonita propiedad, habitación limpia y cómoda, atención por parte del personal excelente. Ampliamente recomendable!
