Grace (at the front desk) was incredible from check-in to check-out. Her calm, friendly, and professional style made everything about our experience easy. The hotel itself is very nice, clean, and centrally located - but the staff make it exceptional.

Great Lobby, Spa, Restaurant, Rooftop Bar and of Course the ROOM! We used All the amenities on site and the suggestions for some great restaurant and site recommendations for the nearby area. Friendly, English speaking front hotel staff was very helpful as well. Would definitely recommend.

Great hotel in the heart of the city - near the lake. Room was good standard, good skybar, excellent service, staff are the best (and in Vietnam that means something as most hospitality staff are amazing) - the groundfloor restaurant is good value and looks great but there are also lots of options in the area - from the cheap to the fine (Hanoi Garden our favourite). Thoroughly recommend.

Excellent, attentive, friendly staff. From check-in on everyone knew our name. Nice room, small balcony but a decent street view. Very comfortable king bed. Great breakfast included, buffet and/or cooked to order. Preferred breakfast to dinner, but we usually headed out for the latter. 1 block from the lake. Very good restaurants and shopping all around. Fun romantic rooftop bar. We booked a tour or two, transportation from the airport upon arrival, travel on to Ninh Binh, etc through the hotel and it was a great deal.

Great location, property is very clean. However, what made our stay special was the staff, very friendly, welcoming, and attentive, specially Susan at the front desk , and Michael at the sky bar. The spa was awesome as well.

Exceptional customer service at Solaria hotel. Lily at the front desk went above and beyond to make sure my solo stay is welcoming and memorable. The fully body massage at the spa was top notch. The location is central to everything and breakfast is delicious. The downside was that the only elevator broke while I was there so everyone needed to use stairs regardless of their floor. It didn’t bother me as the porter helped me with my luggage. However, it might be an issue for other tourists. Perhaps, it is normal in Vietnam so may not be unique to Solaria hotel. I would stay in this hotel again.

Very friendly staffs and well located. Our room was on the 8th floor which was just under the restaurant. It was very noisy early in the morning due to the breakfast services. We were switched to the 6th and it was much quieter. However, during our last night, there was an event on the roof bar and thw music was extremely loud and it lasted until midnight. We found it not very respectful for the other quests who stayed in the hotel. The breakfast was very good, a lot of option. The restaurant downstairs Mia was excellent, we ate there twice during our stay. Over all, it was a nice hotel except for the noise.

Perfect location for exploring the old quarter and daily walks around the lake, and also slightly quieter area for some much needed rest from the hustle and bustle. Staff could not have been more hospitable. Keeping us informed and thinking ahead and treating all guests as VIPs. We were allowed to use our VIP access hotels.com allowances which most hotels we have stayed in never recognise this. We had a great spa treatment - facial with tumeric at a reasonable price. We also enjoyed the rooftop bar and wish we had gone more as the cocktails were delicious! Breakfast buffet was varied and fresh both Vietnamese and Western options. Rooms and bed were very comfortable and spacious enough for 3 nights. Shower was great pressure and always got hot water. Only things we thought could be made better was the lighting. Shaving your face or doing your makeup on the bathroom mirror/ vanity mirror was very difficult! Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to all. 5 stars!!

While we only had one night there the staff treated us like we were their best clients. I can’t say enough about their kindness and assistance. This property is well located in the Old Quarter Hanoi. It is close to all the activities of Hanoi’s Old Quarter . Our room was adequate for the length of stay . I know they have a range of rooms . Nice breakfast but a bit tight for space for this busy hotel . They had or good amenities that we didn’t get to use due to our short stay. It earns its 4 stars .

The photos are a little deceiving compared to what you get at the hotel. The staff are incredibly helpful and made our stay as pleasant as possible. Staying in the Old Quarter, you cannot escape the constant noise of cars and motorbikes hooting - from early morning until late at night! This permeates into the room, even with windows closed, so be mindful of that. The location is good and close to exploring everything within the Old Quarter. Be prepared though - the area is very dirty, smelly, a barrage of traffic all the time and the noise is constant. We noticed the lack of mopping the tiled floors during our stay (we stayed a total of 4 nights) and during that time, neither the room or the bathroom tiles were ever mopped, which was disappointing. The rooftop bar is nice and the staff are super friendly and helpful, but you look over a very dilapidated and grubby buildings which detracts from the aesthetic of the rooftop bar set up. The food is very good and we detracted from the Western style breakfasts to sample the Eastern cuisine. The stir-fried chicken with glass noodles was an absolute sensation and well recommended. Overall, a good hotel, but you need to be prepared for the location and the lack of cleaning effort that goes into the rooms. The staff are very attentive and make up for it in their fantastic service and helpfulness.

We only stayed for one night (before our flight home from Hanoi), but we wish we’d have had more time in this beautiful hotel. The lobby area is vibrant and the rooms are stylish. What stood out to me - after staying in various different South-east Asian hotels over the last 3 weeks - was the powerful, adjustable shower head, the quality shower products, the powerful hairdryer with different settings, and the comfort of the bed and pillows. These things really make a difference! Aside from the place itself and its amenities, one member of staff, in particular, stood out for her warm, welcoming, genuine nature: Susan. What an asset to the Solaria team! She was exactly the sort of person we wanted to be greeted by, after a long day of travelling, and was so helpful.

Solaria Hotel has service that I never saw before even in the most expensive hotels. When we arrived I very casually mentioned to DAVID that we were in Vietnam to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The next day at breakfast they were waiting for us with a dessert with "Happy Anniversary" on it. Team was always giving us tips & tricks, making sure everything was fine, etc. SUSAN and GRACE as well as TRAN were some of the most helpful although everyone was nice. When we left today they came to bring us to the bus that picked us up. Apart from service, rooms are very clean and nicely decorated, big and comfortable beds, excellent free breakfast with buffet made-to-order selections and... A great location, 60 feet away from the Hoan Kiem Lake.

Staff were all very warm and helpful. Bed was a bit hard but staff installed mattress topper for us (offered at check-in). Rooftop bar was convenient and nice. Breakfast was varied and tasty. Great location for enjoying Hanoi, especially when local streets close for the weekend.

Great employees, they were so helpful and friendly. No view out the window and the room was a little small but that was fine. We could walk to everything in the old town area. Rooftop bar was fun with great views.

The staff is incredible. They are attentive, hard working and go out of their way to make sure that everyone is happy and have what they need. The standard rooms are tiny and outdated. We were moved to a larger, renovated room and it was perfect. The restaurant is excellent. Food is fresh and service is exceptional. Welcome drink and desert was lovely and the parting gift was a nice touch. Reserved transport from the airport directly with the hotel. Very convenient, reliable and efficient. No need to haggle at the airport. The driver waits for you in arrival section with your name on a sign.
The staff is incredible. They are attentive, hard working and go out of their way to make sure that everyone is happy and have what they need. The standard rooms are tiny and outdated. We were moved to a larger, renovated room and it was perfect. The restaurant is excellent. Food is fresh and service is exceptional. Welcome drink and desert was lovely and the parting gift was a nice touch. Reserved transport from the airport directly with the hotel. Very convenient, reliable and efficient. No need to haggle at the airport. The driver waits for you in arrival section with your name on a sign.

I liked the breakfast I liked the staff who wer very friendly and helpful I didn’t like the blinds on the windows they were broken and not working. The room didn’t have a nice view though it said I will get it when I booked it. The room was dark even during the day.i liked the location very convenient to places I wanted to go. We really enjoyed our stay here!! Very friendly, polite staff, warm welcoming on arrival. Positive: Location, pretty calm at night even though its so close to the historical city center and the lake but tucked away a little in a side street. Breakfast, just awesome! Beware of the wasabi for the sushi, super strong!! :) Apart from the hotel, try the pho place only a few meters from the hotel. You can’t miss it, when you walk back to the place coming from the lake on the righthandside, also their filled rice papers are very good. Negative: View from our room, there wasn’t any real view. Apart from that great, we‘d come back!

I’ve stayed in 100s of hotels over the years and this has most certainly been one of the best… the thoughtfulness and service of all the staff is outstanding…. From complimentary rooms on arrival and departure to food for our train journey to sapa and a free gift of coffee …. Never have I been treated so kindly… it was an absolute pleasure and I wish we were staying longer … the cocktails are amazing too … if you are visiting Hanoi you should stay here … location is perfect!!! 10 stars

The staffs here are the best, especially Lily, Susan and Grace. Usually I don't even remember names but here at Solaria I had to since their service was always above and beyond my expectation. Honestly, I've never experienced this level of service elsewhere in the US. The room was on the smail side by American standard but it was nice and clean and the bed was really comfortable. Overall, I was extremely satisfied.

We had a standing balcony overlooking the front street. Best of all were the helpful and cheerful staff. The service here is incredible - Grace and Lily were so kind and helpful throughout our stay. They always greeted us by name, helped us plan our stay in Hanoi, prepared us a box of fruit before our long trip to Ha Long Bay, organising travel to/from the airport, and going out of their way to ensure we had a great holiday. Easily the best service I’ve received at any hotel. The rooms are clean and presentable, though perhaps a bit small. That said, the location is perfect - most sights are within a 30 minute walk. The breakfast is nice, and has various western and Vietnamese options available. The rooftop bar has a great view and is much calmer than the rowdy rooftop bars on the main touristy roads. The restaurant downstairs, Mia, has nice food options from across Vietnam (our favourites were the catfish and the black sesame soup for dessert). Our server Luna made excellent recommendations. Would very happily stay here again on our next trip to Hanoi

From our initial check-in, we felt very welcome and were given great advice and useful intention to start our trip to Hanoi and Vietnam. Each colleague we interacted with, and especially the front desk, were extremely helpful and kind. They helped us with getting an early check-in, booking a massage, and as well, preparing a food bag for our long train trip. They remembered details about us (e.g. that one of us was vegetarian), which was really impressive. The room was perfect for us, clean and spacious, and offered a nice place to relax and sleep. Breakfast was also a highlight. It’s a mix of ‘à la carte’ and a buffet. Everything we tried was delicious and it’s a shame we were only there one night. While we only had one night there the staff treated us like we were their best clients. I can’t say enough about their kindness and assistance. This property is well located in the Old Quarter Hanoi. It is close to all the activities of Hanoi’s Old Quarter . Our room was adequate for the length of stay . I know they have a range of rooms . Nice breakfast but a bit tight for space for this busy hotel . They had or good amenities that we didn’t get to use due to our short stay. It earns its 4 stars .

It is located next to the Old Quarter of Hanoi, which is the area that all visitors go to because it has lots of shopping, restaurants, night market, and things to see. Room was nice and clean. Free breakfast was pretty good with lots of choices. The staff is very professional and courteous. Upon my arrival, they also let me check-in early. Also, on the day that I departed, my flight was late in the evening, so they stored my luggage for me while I spent my last afternoon exploring. (I liked that they stored it in a locked room behind the reception, as it seemed more secure than other hotels that just leave your luggage in a corner of the lobby.)

Perfect location for exploring the old quarter and daily walks around the lake, and also slightly quieter area for some much needed rest from the hustle and bustle. Staff could not have been more hospitable. Keeping us informed and thinking ahead and treating all guests as VIPs. We were allowed to use our VIP access hotels.com allowances which most hotels we have stayed in never recognise this. We had a great spa treatment - facial with tumeric at a reasonable price. We also enjoyed the rooftop bar and wish we had gone more as the cocktails were delicious! Breakfast buffet was varied and fresh both Vietnamese and Western options. Rooms and bed were very comfortable and spacious enough for 3 nights. Shower was great pressure and always got hot water. Only things we thought could be made better was the lighting. Shaving your face or doing your makeup on the bathroom mirror/ vanity mirror was very difficult! Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to all. 5 stars!!

I was so happy with my stay at Solaria Hotel. Room was very comfortable with great air conditioning and plenty of amenities and free bottled water daily. Bed was very large and extremely comfortable with perfect pillows. Breakfast provided a large western menu option and Vietnamese cuisine also. We dined at Mia’s, the onsite restaurant 3 times and enjoyed delicious Vietnamese dishes and excellent service. The staff in reception were friendly and professional and assisted us with day trips, SIM card installation and airport pickup at very affordable prices. We were allowed to extend our check out time on our last day until 4pm for $40 aud.- 5 star service thank you Solaria team.

This is the best hotel in Hanoi. Location is excellent. Our room was so quiet we did not hear any of the street noise. Everything was immaculately clean. The staff were so lovely, especially Daria at the front desk - so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was 10/10, so many options at the buffet plus an additional a la cart menu that was all included - eggs made to order, vegetarian bun cha, many Vietnamese options as well as western. Highly recommend!

Our stay at Solaria was exceptional. Morning breakfast was exceptional and the cocktail bar is top notch. The staff are amazing and go out of their way to ensure you have a great stay. Mia’s on the ground floor is lovely and the food was fabulous. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location for exploring the old quarter and daily walks around the lake, and also slightly quieter area for some much needed rest from the hustle and bustle. Staff could not have been more hospitable. Keeping us informed and thinking ahead and treating all guests as VIPs. We were allowed to use our VIP access hotels.com allowances which most hotels we have stayed in never recognise this. We had a great spa treatment - facial with tumeric at a reasonable price. We also enjoyed the rooftop bar and wish we had gone more as the cocktails were delicious! Breakfast buffet was varied and fresh both Vietnamese and Western options. Rooms and bed were very comfortable and spacious enough for 3 nights. Shower was great pressure and always got hot water. Only things we thought could be made better was the lighting. Shaving your face or doing your makeup on the bathroom mirror/ vanity mirror was very difficult! Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to all. 5 stars!!

An oasis for road weary travelers after a long flight from the US or after hiking the rice terraces in Sapa. Without thinking about it, I mentioned that my stomach was a little upset. Within five minutes of being in my room, they brought me some ginger tea for my stomach. That’s going the extra mile.

Awesome hotel. Excellent location, many amenities close by: food, money exchange, shopping, massages. Breakfast buffet superb. Service was so good. Daria the manager was so helpful. Unfortunately had a stay that was too short. Would book here again.

This is a lovely hotel in the centre of Hanoi (very close to the lake). Like many other properties in the ‘Old Town’ the rooms are ‘compact’ but very well equipped. Our stay lasted less than 12 hours, but the staff were very helpful and could not do enough for you.
