This is a gorgeous art deco building with a great main-floor bar and fun activities in the basement. Our experience was less than ideal due to having to evacuate into the freezing cold 2 out of 3 nights due to fire alarms - once at 7 am and once around 6:30 pm. They need to have more stringent signage, warnings and policies to prevent people from blazing up in their rooms and inconveniencing hundreds of other guests. Parking is valet only and there is no self-park option, which is ok until you want to leave at the same time as dozens of visitors at the hotel for a wedding or other event, so you get stuck waiting for up to 30 minutes and potentially being late for your own reservations off site. It would have been nice to have warnings so we could plan accordingly or park temporarily on the street so we could be free to get out on time.

Enjoyed stay at the Cambria Detroit. Clean, modern, spacious and friendly staff. Room was very nice. Inside/outside bar with a dj! 5-Iron on the lower level - golf sim, duck bowling, ping-pong and bar. Would go back.

Everything was great! Service was excellent. All the employees that we interacted with was top notch! The only thing odd about this hotel is it’s 6 floors but you have to take 2 elevators to access floors 4-6. But other than that it was very nice. Would stay here again.

In town for the weekend for volleyball tournament at Huntington Place. Hotel is easily walkable to that venue. Has a great basement level bar with duckpin bowling, air, hockey, table tennis as well as golf simulators. Food was good highly recommend the spinach and artichoke dip as well as the wings. Counter service was always very friendly and polite as was the valet parking. Would stay again for sure in the future.

When we checked into our room the first thing that we noticed was the dirty floor. There was a french fry and crumbs right by the door, and visible dirt on the floor by the bed. I called the front desk twice and requested that someone come clean the floor, but no one came. Other than that, the staff was friendly.

Bed sheets had some stains. Bathroom door is a slider so the whole room can hear anything that happens in the bathroom- why on earth do hotels choose faux doors on bathrooms? Does anyone actually like this? Its embarrassing and awkward.

We really liked the entire hotel. The only hiccup was getting the adjoining rooms they said were possible. We checked in at 4p and were told the rooms weren’t cleaned. We had plans so rather than wait, we just decided to take rooms next to each other. Not a big deal but a bit disappointing. The beds and pillows were very comfy; the shower was great and the room was good sized. The location was ideal for our night out in Corktown and the area around the hotel was very clean. The valet was accommodating and friendly. We would definitely stay there again.

The high-tech lighting decided to turn itself on several times during the middle of the night. Other guests mentioned the same thing happening to them. Restaurants are a 10 minute walk. Neighborhood is okay during daylight hours. On the edge of the downtown core, so take an Uber after dark.

The helpful bellmen, the ambience and the location were amazing. Our room was very noisy as we were near the back of the bar and the mechanical areas and no hair conditioner available in the shower. I will stay again, just a different room 😄.

Brkfst was good in the restaurant. Staff friendly. Main complaint was lighting in room, hard to keep adjusted with the wall controls. Then all the lights came on at 2 am and finally unplugged them to get them to stay off.

A few things were broken, cable sucked and was very outdated, I couldnt connect to any apps on the tv. And it was waaay overpriced for what it was. I paid $300 a night for a room that shouldn't have cost more than $150 per night.

Never have I ever been to hotel and been treated so kindly. We arrived in town way before check in. Not only was the young lady kind but she was super accommodating and allowed us to check in early. Next was the bellman Dejuan! Keep him forever. He didn't allow us to carry a thing to our room. You can tell he definitely goes above and beyond for the guests. You all are doing everything right at this hotel and we will definitely be returning.

Every single employee we passed or interacted with during our stay was extremely polite and friendly. From the gentlemen greeting us at the curb, to the valet, front desk, bartender, and housekeeping. Any things you left it or forget in room hotel you not going to find it any more. I don’t know what’s going on but looks like the manager doesn’t know there’s employees and if you try to call them or asking about your items that you left it or forget it they are not helpful at all.

The valet staff did not assist us when we arrived or when we left. They stood at the podium and handed keys back and forth. The front desk did not activate our keys correctly and they did not work the first time. The 3 hotel bartenders had maybe 10 guests and took 15 minutes to ask for our order. The amazing lady next to us paid for our drinks before she left and then one bartender proceeded to tell us we still had to pay for them. Amazing property and beautiful room so the service was disappointing.

Our family of 4 stayed at Cambria on a Saturday night in January. We had a great experience from beginning to end. Valet was very convenient and check-in was a breeze. The hotel was fresh and clean with lots to offer. We enjoyed the close proximity to a People Mover station so we could get to Greektown for dinner and back from LCA after Cirque. We had a great time at 5 Iron - playing duckpin bowling, ping ping, pool, and the golf simulator. Will recommend this hotel to friends and family.

I am here on a Monday which meant no food on rooftop bar. I went down to 5iron and myself and one other person could not find an employee. Front desk staff and bell man were very nice and helpful. Restauant was really good and has a great happy hour. I would not feel comfortable walking around outside the hotel by myself.

Highly recommend. Great location. Walking distance to Lions and Tigers stadiums. The people mover is only a couple of blocks away and is free for all of 2024. Top notch restaurant! The basement level surprised us with duck pin bowling and virtual golf with lots of game options. Definitely going back to the Cambria.

Looks / Feels like a new property. Love the restaurant / Bar opportunities. Basement establishment 5 Iron was amazing. All encounters with staff were GREAT Valet, Check-in, Cielo, Cibo, 5 Iron.
