The only thing I liked about this hotel is that it was close to everything. This hotel needs serious attention. The elevator was down the entire stay which we had to take the stair and they were horrible. Haven’t been cleaned or vacuumed. The carpet in the rooms were nasty, stains everywhere. The room smelled moldy. Around the pool was nasty & haven’t been cleaned. Myself and other families stayed here because our kids were playing in the state championship for baseball and we had to deal with these issues. We wasn’t compensated for anything and the employees didn’t care.

Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else. I completed pre check in prior to arrival trying to save time. Upon arriving, I had to go back through the entire process, including giving her my credit card for a deposit, which it’d already entered pre check in. So the pre check in is completely pointless. We tried to use the elevator and it didn’t work. She was rude about it and argued about it working. It didn’t work. A mom and 2 kids had to wrestle 3 suitcases up 3 flights of stairs. The carpet in the stairs was absolutely disgusting. As we opened the door to the 3rd floor, there was a horrendous smell. A full trash bag was left sitting in the hallway. The room itself wasn’t thoroughly clean and smelled musty. It also had no coffee pot. The breakfast was absolutely terrible. Nothing worked. All that was offered was waffles, biscuits, and apples really. Worst I’ve ever seen. We had to tote our suitcases back down the stairs checking out and a sign was on the elevator. The full trash bag was still in the hallway from the day before. We couldn’t get out of this place fast enough. Highly recommend you avoid and stay anywhere else!!

The staff was great and everyone was very friendly. Enjoyed the PB&J snacks at night. The room was clean and liked the Dove personal products cucumber soap shampoo lotion etc. The parking lot REALLY needs to be repaved. Overall enjoyed our stay and would come back and stay again.

It needs to be CLEANED. I didn’t take my shoes off because the floors in our room haven’t been swept or mopped in a while. The elevator was nasty. The carpets in the stairwell need to be removed and burned because there’s no way those will ever come clean. Gross.

The staff was really nice but the carpet was so nasty and smells. There were so many spots on the carpet and the toilet was dirty and smells like pee as if it was not cleaned right and it was rust in the tub area. The hallway was so hot that the workers were complaining about it being hard to work. The pool was also dirty and had a ring around it so we didn’t get to enjoy the pool. Other than that everything else was really nice. I really did like the staff there though.

There were roaches everywhere. The manager said she would give me a $30 refund, but I felt like it should have been more. I took pictures and videos of the roaches. I didn't want to go to sleep. They were crawling on the chair, up the walls, on the floor. Apparently, they had a nest behind the end table between the two beds. I didn't expect this from Windgate.

Noticed an odor upon entering the room. Air conditioning had leaked onto carpet. Asked for another room. 2nd room was worse. Wet carpet across the room. Mildew/wet carpet odor. Had broken/exposed broken furniture. Dirty upholstery. We asked for money back and packed back up the car. Never have done had to do this before, and we have stayed in many different areas and types of rooms. Other guests were complaining of issues as well. Couldn’t bring myself to stay even though we were running late for an event, and it was extremely inconvenient to pack up and move rooms and then ultimately have to leave the hotel.

The room was very spacious and clean. The king-sized bed was extremely comfortable. The only problem was that the shade on the window was so sheer it let in the street lights from the parking lot. We had to hang a blanket over the window to block the light!

The hotel is attractive to the eyes and upon entering it is even more attractive. The desk clerk was very polite, friendly and effencient in her job. The room was nice with the exception of the carpet smell and the window covering (that was torn and not coving the window well) the desk clerk assisted us by offering another room and stated she even contacted maintenance. The bed slep well and the bathroom was well kept. Thank you (oh and did I mention it was our 40th anniversary) .

We stayed here because we had a great experience back in December, can’t say the same for this time. The noise level was very high, we were on the third floor, but facing the front instead of the back, we heard cars racing up and down the interstate all night long we didn’t hear that before, the people above us stomped all night long so we got no sleep the first night we were there. We never got extra towels, almost ran out of toilet paper, no body wash luckily we had brought our own just a different experience just from several months ago. The only thing that was consistent was the breakfast, it was awesome, and the two ladies kept it stocked well, and we’re nice when he spoke to them by speaking back, the housekeepers wouldn’t even acknowledge you said anything. The front desk clerk upon check-in was good.

Room smelt musky when we first walked in. The sink needs to be re-caulked and the faucet in the sink needs work as very little water comes out. Room 219. There was no ice bucket and only one ice machine in the whole building is working. Evening shift checkin was extremely nice but was lacking the supplies at the front desk. Check out lady was rude.

1. No way to darken the window, so bright light flooded the room through the night. When we asked at checkout if all the rooms were like that, we were told, no - only that room. Other rooms were available, but we didn’t realize it was an issue until we were climbing into bed. Why were we put in that room when they knew the problem? 2. Picture half-hanging in the wall. 3. Long black hair on tub. 4. Tub dripped water all night. 5. Sluggish toilet. 6. No coffeemaker in room. 6. Rude young lady at desk for checkout. We were very disappointed in this Wyndham property.

Personnel were cordial and professional However, when I entered my room a glass with orange juice had been left on the desk/countertop by the tv. The window shade fell down when I tried to adjust it. The desk clerk quickly put it back and offered me another room, but I decided to stay because it had a walk-in shower. The next morning, 6:15 I awoke with the awful smell of diesel fumes filling the room. A semi parked outside my window was idling and thought the AC I was in danger of asphyxiation, at least that was my fear. I dressed and vacated the room. The clerk said this had never happened before and apologized. I ate breakfast and drank coffee to give time for the fumes to dissipate. In hindsight I should have been “comped” for the room.

Reserved hotel months in advance for stay. Arrived at the hotel the day booked after it I confirmed stay for the night. Once I arrived for check in, the desk clerk informed no rooms were available. Upon my arrival, the front desk representative had difficulty locating my booking. I was then informed that my reservation had somehow been canceled earlier that day. I went ahead and rebooked the room. When I returned to the front desk, the representative questioned me, with an attitude, about whether I had booked it again, making it seem as though assisting me was an inconvenience. After she finally found my new reservation, I felt uncomfortable with some of her questions regarding my payment options. To make matters worse, she then informed me that I would need to walk up four flights of stairs because the elevator was out of order, and all of the king bed rooms on the property were located on the fourth floor. I’ve never heard of a situation like that before. She offered to place me in a room with a queen bed on the second floor, as though that would be an acceptable alternative. As someone who is 6’3” and had just completed a six-and-a-half-hour drive, this was far from ideal or comfortable. Overall, this experience left me extremely dissatisfied, from the mishandled reservation and unprofessional attitude to the lack of suitable accommodations given the circumstances.

Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else. I completed pre check in prior to arrival trying to save time. Upon arriving, I had to go back through the entire process, including giving her my credit card for a deposit, which it’d already entered pre check in. So the pre check in is completely pointless. We tried to use the elevator and it didn’t work. She was rude about it and argued about it working. It didn’t work. A mom and 2 kids had to wrestle 3 suitcases up 3 flights of stairs. The carpet in the stairs was absolutely disgusting. As we opened the door to the 3rd floor, there was a horrendous smell. A full trash bag was left sitting in the hallway. The room itself wasn’t thoroughly clean and smelled musty. It also had no coffee pot. The breakfast was absolutely terrible. Nothing worked. All that was offered was waffles, biscuits, and apples really. Worst I’ve ever seen. We had to tote our suitcases back down the stairs checking out and a sign was on the elevator. The full trash bag was still in the hallway from the day before. We couldn’t get out of this place fast enough. Highly recommend you avoid and stay anywhere else!!

Room, bathroom were clean. Microwave was rusted and non usable, blind was broken so couldn’t be raised and lowered. Comfy bed, clean sheets, good air conditioning so all in all was fine. Just those two things need fixed. Good central location and easy on and off the interstate.

location was ok.. found it in a nest of other hotels.. easy on and off the hyway. confusing getting out of there.. got turned around and missed a turn but gps caught my mistake and I was back on the road. Thanks

I liked the PB&J at night and the breakfast was excellent. Was given the wrong room when I first checked in but got it fixed quickly. Still waiting on the return of my $50 deposit but other than that it was great.

For the price I paid it was a good bargain. The property was clean and well maintained. It has been awhile since I stayed in a hotel. Breakfast choices were a little limited but adequate for the price I paid.

Check-in staff was very professional and welcoming. Breakfast was not good and breakfast staff was very rushed. I'm assuming she hasn't used to having so many patrons?? She was slow, put utensils in upside down, didn't act like she wanted to be at work today. Facility was as described but i guess for the price i was expecting something better kept. More spacious rooms. Pool area was good but no towels available.

Me and my husband were driving in from Lafayette Louisiana and this is our midway points to Kentucky. We stopped by and got a room and was offered peanut butter and jelly time from 9 to 11. I thought that was amazing little snack just before we go to bed. The beds were amazingly comfortable. The breakfast was very good. We had waffles with eggs and bacon and biscuits. Our stay was amazing. If we come through again, we will definitely stay again. The staff was very courteous to us. Great place great management.

Let me start with the good. The room was clean (mostly), the beds were incredibly comfortable, and the shower was awesome. The staff we dealt with were also friendly and helpful, but several others were constantly sitting around on their phones. This hotel has not been maintained very well. A lot of the items in the room were worn and/or stained. The A/C unit was missing the vent cover so the air blew straight into the side of the bed leaving the room warm and stuffy. There was someone (I'm not sure if it was staff or guest) smoking pot in the elevator and hallway. I didn't see them, but almost got a contact high every time I left the room. The breakfast was...not good. The eggs were bland at best, and the waffle mix was runny making the waffles soggy on the inside. They also ran out of coffee cups an hour into breakfast. Overall, the three stars I gave were being generous.

When we arrived the elevator was broken and would not be fixed until after our stay. I asked for a lower floor room (as I am a single mother with a bad back) and was told there were none, instead the response was “are you staying here or not?”. People arriving after us, then got first and second floor rooms and I was told third and fourth floor were the only options. The stairwell smelt horrible (like something had died)!!! They no longer do the peanut butter/jelly bar in the evenings, we were told they’re “under new management”. The only protein for breakfast was unedible eggs, I didn’t even bother putting them on the plate. There was no bowls for cereal, no butter for toast, juice machine was down and no cream for coffee. We ate breakfast elsewhere. We were told they were rationing the food. To end our stay upon checkout we found a couple small roaches in the bedding. We have stayed at this property four previous times, with a great experience, but this was our last time, obviously.

Hotel and room were okay, but overpriced for the quality. The floor of our room was sticky and had visible dirt in places. Other parts of the room seemed reasonably clean. The breakfast area was crowded and not laid out well, but the quality and selection of food was fine. The whole experience would have been acceptable if the room rate had been $30 less than it was.

I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the Hotel. The parking lot had trash in it, the elevator and hallways were not well maintained. Our room was fine. The property needs some cleaning. The breakfast was fine.
