Facility was clean and well maintained. Very spartan. The cleaning woman went up and down the hall for ours banging on doors and screaming "housekeeping". I put the 'do not disturb' sign on my door and she banged and screamed at it anyway.

Adequate for a road trip layover. It was quiet and bed was good. It was clean and pool was inside and open. The plus part of redroof inn was a mystery because there were zero perks. No breakfast, coffee kurig in room did not work ( coffee downstairs was good) and ice machine on our floor was kaput. Overall if you want a quiet nice bed go for it. Cheapest in area for a Sat. Night. Walkable to cracker barrel and wafflehouse.

Bad:The ceiling squeaked and creaked whenever the person upstairs moved around. There was palmetto bug in our shower. Good: The staff is very friendly and parking seemed safe. AC worked great.

Key cards had to be reprogrammed every time we went to our room. Dispensers in shower didn’t work. Tv remote didn’t work. Staff harassed us for being Alabama fans. Window trim cracks on window in multiple places. Parking lot well lit.

The towels are horrible. They need to be replaced. They are not white anymore. The rug in the elevator also needs to be replaced. Curtains did not close all the way so it was extremely bright in my room the next morning.

The door didn't lock- maintenance said the key part on the outside locked the door. phone in room didn't work- maintenance said none of the phone worked in the hotel. window was broken- maintenance said just broken on the inside pane and that it was a double pane window. cops patrol parking lot every half hour was the comment by the lady at the desk. I wouldn't stay at this place by myself (as a female) or with my children. NOT the safest area or hotel in the area...keep driving!

AC didn’t work great, the whole place felt old and dirty, we had a bucket under the sink to catch water that was leaking, soap dispenser on the wall was constantly putting out soap. Was a bad experience all together.

Towels were stained and dirty. No shower or hand soap. No coffee in common area and staff said manager is only one that can fill the grounds & she wouldn’t be there until 8am. This was at 5am. Tub was so slick we had to put a bath towel down for safety. Check in clerk was wonderful though.

One and done with this hotel. They charge you a huge fine for smoking in your room if you are caught. However, the smell of marijuana on the elevator is overwhelming, and we could smell marijuana in our third floor room. They must have a marijuana growing somewhere or it’s ok to smoke weed in your room but not cigarettes. Will not be back. Also only had one door key that worked, and was not even offered the WiFi password at check in. They don’t have a continental breakfast. For what they charge, a continental breakfast should be offered.

The tv in the room was blue, you could not see anything. The wall had black all around the outlet where the a/c was plugged in, like there had been flames coking out of the wall at dome point in time. The hallway smelled like somthing burnt. The beds and pillows were hard as a rock. The floor on 2nd floor uneven, k ike the floor is sinking. I did not feel safe staying here.

We could hear everything our next door neighbors said through the connecting door. It sounded like the people upstairs were coming through the ceiling. It was so loud it woke me up. Terrible towels, the bed squeaked. Ants in the bathroom. Bathtub either has rust stains or some other kind of stain. No soap in the soap dispenser by the sink. No breakfast. Room not ready an hour after check in time. Not worth the price we paid.

Great Atmospher, Rooming, & Staff! I've been in Bessemer for work for 5 months now. There are 5-6 different hotels walking distance from each other here so l initially stayed at the most expensive one in the area for 3 weeks. Went home for a week and decided to try this location when I returned. They have exceeded all expectations for the cost. I have been a back and forth resident for over 4 months now. I appreciate the level of professionalism the staff have provided not to mention the cleanliness of the rooms. You can tell that they were recently upgraded and the suites that I have resided are beautiful. The level of attentiveness that the staff provides is unmatched! I left the previous (double priced hotel) because the staff refused to address noise complaints and other issues. Here, I don't have to complain about noise because they uphold a standard that is much appreciated. Additionally, in the 4 months that l've been here, l've only had 1 issue... my AC was struggling one early morning. The manager swiftly responded and offered to move my room while they worked on the issue as to not to disturb me. I declined and agreed that it could wait while I was at work. I came in the following day to all issues rectified (a simple filter change) & a freshly cleaned spotless room. The beds are super, comfortable, the appliances are all new, and again the STAFF are amazing. This place has become my home while I'm away from home. (My ONLY issue is this hotel doesn't offer break fas

My room was canceled when I got there. I did pay at property and when I arrived they said they tried to charge my card and it wouldn’t go through and that they tried to call a couple times using a 0 instead of a 1 to call a number. They said they still could give me a room but it was going to be more now because they were almost completely booked. I asked for a manager and the employee would not get me a manager. I would not stay there and I will not book with hotels.com again!

We checked in late Saturday night 11/4 as planned after a night football game, and the clerk claimed I had canceled reservation on 10/25 and they had no rooms. I told her we had not canceled and in fact we had received an email from hotel on 10/31 stating that everything was all set for our stay and they were looking forward to seeing us. She said the reservation was canceled and there was nothing she could do because we had booked on hotels.com. Called hotels.com who said our reservation was still active and not canceled, and implied Clark was lying. So essentially, the hotel did not honor our reservation which was made one month ago and gave our room to someone else and then lied by saying we had canceled. And offered to further help. Will never stay at this hotel or other Red Roofs again. We eventually found a room elsewhere two hours away.

Whe we arrived, Jennifer at the front desk said our reservation had been canceled. She proceeded to laugh at me. She offered to re-book the reservation at more than double the cost of the original reservation. We arrived just a few minutes after midnight. I did not know my reservation would be canceled at midnight. Perhaps that’s the policy, but to laugh in my face was extraordinarily rude. I said no thanks and left. I was afraid I’d be sleeping in my car but called around and found another hotel.

Issues with credit card reader - staff made it look like it was my fault, I did not appreciate that. Manual entry of credit card number worked fine which should be proof that nothing was wrong with my AMEX CC. That's not good customer service, this might be a reason not to use this hotel again even though it is cheaper than others.

Great Atmospher, Rooming, & Staff! I've been in Bessemer for work for 5 months now. There are 5-6 different hotels walking distance from each other here so l initially stayed at the most expensive one in the area for 3 weeks. Went home for a week and decided to try this location when I returned. They have exceeded all expectations for the cost. I have been a back and forth resident for over 4 months now. I appreciate the level of professionalism the staff have provided not to mention the cleanliness of the rooms. You can tell that they were recently upgraded and the suites that I have resided are beautiful. The level of attentiveness that the staff provides is unmatched! I left the previous (double priced hotel) because the staff refused to address noise complaints and other issues. Here, I don't have to complain about noise because they uphold a standard that is much appreciated. Additionally, in the 4 months that l've been here, l've only had 1 issue... my AC was struggling one early morning. The manager swiftly responded and offered to move my room while they worked on the issue as to not to disturb me. I declined and agreed that it could wait while I was at work. I came in the following day to all issues rectified (a simple filter change) & a freshly cleaned spotless room. The beds are super, comfortable, the appliances are all new, and again the STAFF are amazing. This place has become my home while I'm away from home. Adequate for a road trip layover. It was quiet and bed was good. It was clean and pool was inside and open. The plus part of redroof inn was a mystery because there were zero perks. No breakfast, coffee kurig in room did not work ( coffee downstairs was good) and ice machine on our floor was kaput. Overall if you want a quiet nice bed go for it. Cheapest in area for a Sat. Night. Walkable to cracker barrel and wafflehouse.

The door didn't lock- maintenance said the key part on the outside locked the door. phone in room didn't work- maintenance said none of the phone worked in the hotel. window was broken- maintenance said just broken on the inside pane and that it was a double pane window. cops patrol parking lot every half hour was the comment by the lady at the desk. I wouldn't stay at this place by myself (as a female) or with my children. NOT the safest area or hotel in the area...keep driving!

This was a quick turn around visit and due to the prices been extremely high at near by hotels we stayed here. The pictures on the internet made it look cleaner. This is not the normal type of property we would stay at and will not again. The area looked as though it may have been a hang out spot of hook up spot.

Towels were stained and dirty. No shower or hand soap. No coffee in common area and staff said manager is only one that can fill the grounds & she wouldn’t be there until 8am. This was at 5am. Tub was so slick we had to put a bath towel down for safety. Check in clerk was wonderful though.

One and done with this hotel. They charge you a huge fine for smoking in your room if you are caught. However, the smell of marijuana on the elevator is overwhelming, and we could smell marijuana in our third floor room. They must have a marijuana growing somewhere or it’s ok to smoke weed in your room but not cigarettes. Will not be back. Also only had one door key that worked, and was not even offered the WiFi password at check in. They don’t have a continental breakfast. For what they charge, a continental breakfast should be offered.

The staff either could not speak English or pretended they could not. No air-conditioning in the lobby or hallways.
