Things to know: there is a club on the main floor at the end of the lounge - It is loud. The hotel is clean enough. There was never coffee made when we went down to the lobby - it was always empty. The hotel was very average. The carpets are pretty worn, but the hotel overall, was pretty clean. We arrived late on a Thursday night and parking etc was well organized for us. There was a sheet and a very thin blanket on the bed, so we called down for another blanket, and it was brought up immediately. We spent the next day in NYC, and when we arrived back to the hotel Friday night around 12:30, we could hear the boom of music. It was very loud, so by 1:00 we texted down to ask someone to ask to have it turned down. They said they would send security to investigate. By 2:00, it stopped. The following night was the same. We found out that there is a club on the main floor. We were on the 5th floor, and the music could be heard! It was so frustrating. The coffee was always empty when we went to the lobby. Staff is very friendly.

Airport shuttle advertised but never showed up. Called front desk six times, no one answered. Wyndham National customer service stated the property only had a shuttle to the airport, not from it. Cost me $80 for an Uber. Asked front desk staff for delayed checkout as a courtesy when we checked in. Was told I would have to talk to the front desk morning staff.

Great hotel, friendly staff and conveniently located near the bus stop - only 30 mins max into manhattan for 4 dollars! I would def stay here again - much better value for money than manhattan and easy to get into the city. Free shuttle bus to Newark airport, too. Highly recommended - well done, Wyndham.

Friendly staff , clean rooms, great location near Times Square and near bus stop. Not sure why it says in room massages offered, no it is not. And warning only use the hotel shuttle do not use the third party Golden Eagle shuttle. Golden Eagle randomly changes the shuttle schedule and the shuttle they are using w/o warning, its unreliable. Just stick to hotel shuttle or Uber

Do not stay here if you want to actually rest! Stayed to spend the Beyonce concert. The shuttle dropped us off outside of the stadium, a 10 minute walk from the street to venue. The I’d a club inside the hotel that doesn’t close until 2am, the walls are thin and its impossible to sleep! It’s even worse when it closes as the party moves outside for another hour. The check in receptionis was arrogant and rude! Spring Hill Suites is the best in the area.

Property is poorly kept up. Everything is dirty, especially those elevators which have cracked sign holders and fingerprints on the stainless. It smells like weed everywhere. The hallways have a musty smell. The rooms are also not very clean. I didn’t see any bed bugs but I wouldn’t be surprised. My room had someone’s used lingerie in the corner next to all the dust bunnies. Staff does not handle issues, they defer to the manager who is never on-site and never answers his emails, so if you have an issue just deal with it and save yourself the headache. Only thing good is the parking and the location. You pay for what you get I guess.

My stay at this hotel was very disappointing. The property was not well maintained, with noticeable cleanliness issues in both the room and common areas. In addition, the staff was unhelpful and unprofessional throughout my visit. When I attempted to escalate my concerns to the general manager, I was met with an extremely rude and dismissive response, which only added to the frustration. Overall, the lack of cleanliness and poor customer service made this a very unpleasant experience. I would not recommend this hotel to others.

Dirty hotel. Hallways absolutely filthy and stinking. Also, anyone can just go up the elevator to the room floors from the oarking garage. You should need to scan a room key to get up there. The room itself smelled clean, but the floors looked dirty and needed to be vacuumed. The staff at check in and check out were both very kind and pleasant to talk to.

I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding my stay at Wyndham Garden North Bergen Near Secaucus from May 6 to 11, 2025, where I was initially assigned Room 335. On May 8, the air conditioning in that room started making a loud noise (video attached). I requested a room change, and on May 9, I was moved to Room 512, where I shockingly found a used condom wrapper between the sheet and blanket — a serious hygiene concern. I was then moved to Room 312, but within 30 minutes, a ceiling leak appeared above the bed (video attached). We were then moved again to Room 328, where the air conditioning was just as loud, making sleep nearly impossible. Exhausted, we had to switch rooms multiple times between 10:30 PM and 1:45 AM. We asked the night receptionist to turn off the AC to be able to sleep. When I asked for compensation, he advised me to contact the manager via email. I am therefore requesting financial compensation or a commercial gesture for the repeated issues we faced: loud noise, hygiene concerns, water leaks, and exhausting late-night moves. This stay was highly stressful and did not meet the standards expected from your hotel. I hope to also meet with you at the reception during my stay to discuss this matter further. Yours sincerely,

We needed a one night for our next day sight seeing experience at Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. The hotel was about 1/2 hour from the attractions. The hotel is definitely older needs some upgrades, i.e. carpet in the hallways and rooms.Pieces of carpet were replaced in certain areas. Our room had remnants of gum on the carpet. We only had one set of towels with no floor towel. Travelled about 2-3 miles to get to nearest restaurant, the Coach House. Very good food and service.

For the price you’re paying per night, a continental breakfast should be included. Not a separate $15 fee for an adjunct restaurant whose food is mediocre at best. Same instant eggs, same type of random pork products, etc. The rooms are not properly cleaned. There’s drops of liquids (who know what they are which is gross) in the room floors, the rug under the bed, the remote control, and the walls. Like hand prints on the wall too. This includes the bed headrest. Needs to be better cleaned.

I would not stay here again. My room was located next to an event space that hosted a loud party late into the night, making it impossible to sleep. The music was so loud the walls were vibrating, and despite calling the front desk multiple times, no one answered. I wasn’t informed of any event happening when I checked in, and no staff made any attempt to relocate or assist me during the disruption. For a hotel charging over $200 a night, basic rest and responsiveness from staff should be a given. Instead, I left exhausted, frustrated, and completely unsupported. A late checkout was offered after I complained, but that doesn’t make up for a sleepless night. Additionally the room doesn’t come with a microwave you have to go to a hallway microwave to warm any items and there’s zero hospitality service they don’t have staff that help with anything they sit behind the desk and there isn’t separate staff to address needs coming to the room. The in-room phone is inoperable and when texting with staff for questions they remain unresponsive basically due to a lack of conflict management skills for the issues that arise on the property. The room was 305, at $229 at the time of booking. It’s directly above a loud event space and I would highly not recommend here just based on the minimal attempts to remedy the situation.

Location was excellent, bed and pillows were amazingly comfortable, staff was friendly. Now, parking on the second level has an access door to the elevator and the card key reader doesn’t work!! We were able to open it by just pushing, which was a bit concerning since anyone could get direct access into the hotel/rooms. Another thing, the room layout was very awkward. You walk into the bathroom which is also the “common area” of the room. One door to the left is the toilet and on the right, the shower (both glass doors with no lock). The door to the toilet doesn’t even fully close so every time one of us had to use the bathroom, the other had to get into the side with the bed and close the sliding door to have a bit of privacy. Location was excellent, bed and pillows were amazingly comfortable, staff was friendly. Now, parking on the second level has an access door to the elevator and the card key reader doesn’t work!! We were able to open it by just pushing, which was a bit concerning since anyone could get direct access into the hotel/rooms. Another thing, the room layout was very awkward. You walk into the bathroom which is also the “common area” of the room. One door to the left is the toilet and on the right, the shower (both glass doors with no lock). The door to the toilet doesn’t even fully close so every time one of us had to use the bathroom, the other had to get into the side with the bed and close the sliding door to have a bit of privacy. It was just not ideal. Just something to keep in mind! Overall, I would recommend staying here for location, and how comfy the beds are!

We booked a room with 2 queen beds and during our online check in said we would be checking in late because we would be in NYC for a show. When we showed up they had given our room to someone else and only had 1 king bed rooms available. Traveling with 2 children it was not a good night having to share 1 bed. The people at the counter did not seem to care nor did they offer any sort of discount, explanation or sympathy just take it or leave it. The room we stayed in was 555 and the wall placard does not have any rooms above 548 so finding the room was difficult. The placard for ice and vending is a lie sense there is no vending we had to use the one in the lobby.

My stay at this hotel was very disappointing. The property was not well maintained, with noticeable cleanliness issues in both the room and common areas. In addition, the staff was unhelpful and unprofessional throughout my visit. When I attempted to escalate my concerns to the general manager, I was met with an extremely rude and dismissive response, which only added to the frustration. Overall, the lack of cleanliness and poor customer service made this a very unpleasant experience. I would not recommend this hotel to others.

They dont vive refunds if you cancel even if you have protection on gour booking. The cutomer service is bare minimum. Had a very loud neighbour loudly parting all night and the front desk was too afraid to deal with it. My family and i were exhausted and couldnt sleep beside the noise so I had to deal with it myself. Clean place, but poor service.

For over $300 a night, i expect more than one lonely person at the front desk with 15 people in line - and being "too busy" is hardly an excuse. Windham used to be a premium brand. They're still priced that way, but the experience is way down my list. Wont be at this brand anymore.

The attitude of the service desk staff first of all I was Mott greeted or told of any amenities. But I was told I had to put a deposit of 200 dollars because just in case something is destroyed and I had to sign a wavier. I had not planned to have 200 dollars frozen of my money knowing I paid my room in advance. When asked could I have a copy of what I signed I was told no, When checking at 8 am out I asked when will the deposit be released I was told at 11:00 but I am checking out now I was told we do it later I asked for a receipt once again and was told no we don’t give receipts. As for the appearance.the coffee machine which is displayed as a centerpiece when you walk in the hotel, was out of order with a sign hand, written. The carpets were dirty and smelly.

The hotel doesn’t look like much from the outside but, it’s a great little spot. It’s just off the highway but, away from heavy traffic. The room was clean and comfortable. Don’t expect much in the way of service - there’s coffee/tea available in the lobby but, no cold storage so, only creamer powder is available. Lobby staff was friendly and found my reservation within minutes of booking. Perfect for a one-night stay on my way to Newark airport.

We checked in and got our room, it was 5:00pm, room was not ready when we went to it. Housekeeping was still cleaning the room. Had to go back to the lobby to get another room. How are you still cleaning the rooms at 5:00? Had breakfast at your restaurant , charged $15 a person. Food was slop. It was not worth $15 a person, should of been included with our stay. McDonalds has better food.

I would stay at this property again- HOWEVER, there are a few things I feel should still be shared. The staff was very nice and helpful. Easy check-in and check-out. We were able to stay an hour later than check-out at no charge. The room was fairly clean, but there were a few stains on the sheets that we asked them to change, and they were changed to clean ones right away. No bed bugs, and the beds were comfy. The room was modern with wood floors, but the hallways were very dated with messy carpets. Not a nice view from the room, but we were for its proximity to MetLife, the American Dream Mall, and Montclair so for that it was perfect. About 10 mins from American Dream/MetLife and 25 mins from Montclair. Parking at the hotel was free and easy. Lastly though, the hotel breakfast for $15 per person was NOT worth it. I do not recommend!! My friend and I got it before leaving, and the food was lukewarm and not great tasting. Eggo waffles, basic potatoes, and sausage. Eggs however, were made to order and pretty good. Cereal was soggy when dry?? I had a few normal pieces, not stale, but then a few pieces were soggy (despite me eating it with no milk). I wanted to vomit, I spit it all right out. I felt bad for the worker there, too. She was friendly and helpful, but I assume the hotel requires her to go up to everyone before they take food (despite being a buffet) to remind them that they have to pay. It was awkward for us and her. Fair price for the hotel and room itself overall.

A very limited menu and expensive for what we received for supper and breakfast. We waited quite a while for airport shuttle but it was evening rush hour so delay was understandable. I will be honest when I looked at some of the reviews prior to checking in I was nervous. The reason why I chose this particular hotel was for convenience and transportation to NYC. The receptionist mentioned to me that I could get a shuttle from airport and there was a 3rd party shuttle to NYC. I tried to call ahead a couple of times to reserve a shuttle but had to call again when I landed to let them know I arrived and she mentioned it would take an hour so I wasn’t pleased with that. A few minutes later she called me and said she would send someone in a mini van . They came in about 35 min. When I arrived at hotel I expected to check in early and she mentioned that it would be a $75 fee. I declined and left my things in luggage room that they provide and requested shuttle to nyc. Shuttle was supposed to come at 11:25 but was running late and didn’t come until an hour later. We took shuttle back from city at 8:30 and when I checked into my room the room was clean and nice. Next morning we booked shuttle again and it was on time same with the evening I came back to a clean and warm room and I was pleased with the rest of the stay.
