Baymont by Wyndham McAllen Pharr

The firrst room I tried had a problem with the entry lock and the electronic key would not open the door. The second room had no microwave or coffee pot. The elevator was added outside of hotel walls and was not acessable from inside the hotel on the bottom floor. you had to go outside the hotel to catch the elevator to floors 2-3. It had no air conditioning so was very hot in the afternoon. Ice makers on floor 2-3 were out of order or more likely turned off so you has to take the elevator down which left you outside, then use your electronic key to enter the hotel and get ice, then go outside and use your key again to get into the elevator ti=o go to floors 2-3. The breakfast was skimpy. I ate at McDonalds down the street.

Room had roaches on bed, the whole carpet was wet and made it smell horrible, there was no soap or hot water and all ice machines were broken. Lastly my towels we hard on some parts of them, which i dont want to ask why.

Good stay they offer breakfast in the morning...only thing is they need to fix the ice machines.

The staff, especially the late night personnel, was very outgoing and helpful. I thought the room was passably clean until i saw a hair on the shower wall. I did not feel safe. There were no parking lot lights, an outdoor access elevator, a door to a connecting room with no dead bolt on my side, even the "Baymont" sign lighting went off during the night and wasn\'t turned back on between 5:30AM and sunrise. This hotel was located in a decent area, surrounded by other nicely presented hotels. I moved 5 miles down the road to another Wyndham property for my next night\'s stay.

We started off our stay on a bad note when the person at the front desk was nowhere to be found during prime check in time of 3 pm. By the time she showed up there was a line of 5 people and she decided answering the phone about a price inquiry was more important than serving the people that had been waiting on her. She did apologize, but it honestly didn’t seem too sincere. Our room was okay, but there were only 3 pillows for our double beds when there were 4 of us sleeping in the beds. There were also only two towels when we listed that 4 people would be staying there. My husband attempted to call the front desk from the phone and low and behold no one would answer. Luckily he found an unlocked storage closet with extra pillows. The area was decent, but I was surprised when I saw a bullet hole on the side of the exterior building. Didn’t try the breakfast. The elevator could definitely use a good dusting and window cleaning. Also the ice machine leaked everyday leaving very large puddles on the third floor and my toddler slipped and fell in it. We stayed for 4 days and our key cards quit working after two days which was annoying. If you’re just looking for a bed to sleep in it’s fine, but don’t expect anything more.

When I booked this hotel, I was under the assumption it would have a pool. However, i looked at info on expedia's website today and it does not say it has a pool. However, the front door was very dirty and floor was dirty. The plexi glass as I was attempting to check in was dirty and I just didn't want to stay there. I didn't check in and I was not happy. I would like a full refund since I did not stay here and had to go to another hotel that cost more.

I would start here again, clean rooms only downside no pool.

Elevator was broken most of my stay. So not handicap accessible. Wifi was troublesome if not impossible to connect. Cable was in and out daily.

Not a nice area, elevator was disconnected from property. The room was smelly and moist. Wouldn’t stay there again

You should change de bed sheets ´cause the ones in my room were stained and torn. I think that if you put an extra lamp the room could be nicer. Despite that, the property was nice.

I booked a night stay at this hotel. Upon arrival to my room I inspected the area and found a a roach crawling in the refrigerator. When I looked more closely there were more roaches dead. I immediately requested a refund since I did not feel comfortable staying in a hotel that is probably infested in roaches. However, I have yet to receive my refund and it’s been 9 days. I have attempted to contact hotel management and staff continues to make excuses. No one has helped me with this matter and at this point I’m feeling very frustrated. Horrible experience with this hotel and staff.

I showed the night manager the roach I killed and she said they are spraying on a daily basis but gusts bring in the roaches.

It was by far one of the most unfriendly staff, especially the guy at night. I was there a few days and my room was not cleaned once. Very disappointing 😞.

Room floor had lots of "baby" roaches. When notified staff reply was "Were already aware".

The room did not have any bath towels; shampoo and body wash were empty. Front desk just said they were out because of a lot of guest staying.

We understand this is not a 5 stars hotel, but finding a room full of cockroaches is not a good thing. Altought the staff was nice changing our room our stay was no longer pleasant. We only stay there because we could not cancel our payment.

Walls are paper thin. You can hear conversations in the hallways & doors as they close. The water pressure is horrible when you use the toilet. Toilet didn’t flush properly.

The TV didn't work during our all stay in the hotel.

This was a great stay for an overnight trip. Everything was good in room but I do have to mention that the room is small especially the bathroom. The beds are comfy, tv is good size , loved free wi-fi but the room is very cramped itself and you hardly have room to walk without bumping into something. The continental breakfast was ok, the waffle makes should be adjusted because our waffles were raw in the middle.

Wifi not working otherwise stay was ok. Found someone else's sock under bed.

The bed was comfy but the restroom was super small and sink was outside of restroom once you opened door sink right there, I hate to say this but I rather stay at La Quinta

Easy on and off the freeway for an overnight stay. It was quiet. The bed was firm, but comfortable. Basic, but everything I needed for a good night sleep.

Everything was ok! Just a lot of noise in the morning, you can hear a lot of noise in yhe hallway

Pros: decent coffee at breakfast, fitness center, mini fridge, location. Cons: super slow wifi, awful breakfast, terrible bed, poor room noise isolation from other rooms and hall

Staff was unfriendly. We requested extra towels as there was only two in the room and they left us waiting for the towels until we had to go request them again. Room was not cleaned for three days even though we asked for them not to forget since they hadn’t cleaned our room. When they finally did clean our room they forgot to leave towels again.

I had to wait an hour and a half to check in. Staff told me to wait in the dining area and then Staff forgot that I was waiting and gave rooms to guests who arrived after me. No updates were giving as to when a room would be available. I had to ask staff to remind them I was still here.

I'm feeling welcome all the time, breakfast its good, rooms clean, friendly and professional customer employes

Check in was easy, front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Room as expected, nothing fancy, but clean and the bed was comfortable and the A/C was nice and cold.

Staff was kind and made helpful accommodations for us.

We had a wonderful stay. Staff friendly and show great respect and willingness to help. Breakfast was really good. The hotel has a perfect ubication. Near to everything.

Nice place and close to a lot of restaurants, the mall, etc. Staff is super friendly and the breakfast, although small was well spread. Good coffee, great staff and great location, what more do you need?

Getting to the property is a bit inconvenient, the area around it is a bit confusing to navigate, lots of construction and weird road design

I was able to book last minute on this hotel. I think I paid 77 dollars for 1-day (Sat through Sun). The rooms floor was dirty, but I noticed because my kids feet got dark real quick. I always use shoes on hotels for that reason, but kids are kids. The breakfast area was very small for the crowd. I didn't have a problem during check in, mini fridge worked wonderfully (my bottle of water got ice cold).

a bit nicer than expected for the price. Evening check in was a breeze and the attendant pleasant and helpful. Observed a the morning person, a female, in the office a bit rude to a guest who politely noted there was a lack of egg and sausage. She abruptly repeatedly responded "there's a breakfast attendant" as in I'm not going to budge, even to locate the breakfast attendant, do it yourself.

The place is ok, nothing really fancy but I would say 7 out of 10, breakfast spot to small for the amount of guests

I love staying at The Baymont , the workers are awesome very helpful and very nice. From the breakfast to the how clean the place is. Great place to stay and want to feel like your at home.

Is too short the breakfast´s area. Need more tables and chairs. The Breakfast is perfect. Regards

Great check-in, nice room- clean, comfortable bed, good water pressure in shower and good towels. The breakfast was minimal but I enjoyed the coffee.
