I had an excellent stay at Tru By Hilton in Frisco, Dallas, TX. The hotel is in a great location with a variety of restaurants within walking distance and just a seven-minute drive from Planet Fitness, even though they have an on-site gym. The pool was clean and well-maintained, and they have a billiard pool table in great condition. The room was comfortable and quiet, providing a great night’s sleep. The staff was friendly and helpful, even holding onto my cooler cup when I accidentally left it behind. Their attentiveness and reminder were much appreciated. Overall, a fantastic experience!

Could not get the room cleaned, even though I asked twice. Could not get the front desk to answer the phone. The breakfast was sad, the “hot” food was room temperature. Saying the breakfast was bland is a complement and it did not rise to the bland category. Only one elevator was working and it reminded the people in the vibrating jerking elevator of horror movies, we actually joked with fellow passengers that we hoped to survive the ride.

Pool was closed, apparently because the emergency phone didnt pass inspection. That was a big bummer for my two boys. The elevators are kinda sketch, sounded rough and felt rough. Breakfast was fine..not great. Ive machine on ground floor was broken. The light switch situation in the room was so odd...switches turning lights on across the room, bathroom wouldnt turn on until switch in main room was on and the lighting was so dim in the room... very clean and comfy though! People at front desk were nice.

Front desk at check in wanted to charge me for the room when I already paid using a 2nd vendor site and kept asking for my credit card. I told them it was already paid. Took them 5 minutes to understand and realize I was correct. Breakfast was really not accommodating---they do not have sugar free syrup which every hotel/place has at this point so waffles could not be eaten. Other Hilton properties have this. Parking easy. Room is smaller than other Hiltons and there is not a closet in the room--not for longer stays.

The hotel was very nice. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Only complaint is the amount of dog poop covering the grass everywhere (despite them having pick up bags and a can in a convenient location.) I had to pay $75 for my dog to stay here, and I pick up his poop! Wish they’d do a better job getting people to clean up or have staff clean up the grass area at least once a day.

The hotel was decent, pretty clean except I hate other people’s hair all in the room!! Sweep, vacuum something. Also NO HOT WATER for our night shower! Luke warm at best and when I called it was basically oh well. Also the front desk staff working Saturday evening and Sunday morning need a lot of CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING! The attitude is like a whole bunch of uninterested college kids! So unprofessional to tell a customer to wait while you clean and spray a trash can for them the check out! I just left, told her to email me since unfortunately we are Hilton Honors members. SMH no wonder all of these businesses are failing, look who you are hiring!

The Gm, Blake was so friendly and helpful in every way. If we needed anything and we made him aware of it he provided whatever was needed. From our check in, Monday through our check out, Friday, Blake and the entire staff were very helpful. If you are looking for a friendly place to stay with a great staff look no further. If I had a complaint, it would be that Blake couldn’t convince my husband to switch from his 49ers hat to a Dallas Cowboy hat.

Tru @ Stonebriar is in a wonderful, beautiful, & safe location. The hotel is very open & clean. The staff is friendly & helpful. The Stonebriar Mall is right out the back door so there is plenty of shopping w/in walking distance. If you love to get your steps in (as I do), this is definitely the location. There are other Hilton properties close by, other food spots, IKEA, Rough Riders Baseball field, Kathy Seei Park, etc. You will not be w/out things to do in this area.

We were glad we were able to check in to our room early. The room was ok. No seating besides the beds and a small desk and chair. There was no closet, table, or place to set luggage except the floor or bed. Front desk said at check-in the water was being worked on and to run the water for a bit & the hot water would come. It never came. Just luke warm. Didn't get a relaxing hot shower I'd hoped for. Breakfast was sad. No eggs, cold sausage, & no fruit. Thank goodness for the pancakes and cereal. On checkout, front ofc person didn't greet me or ask how our stay was. I mentioned the hot water issue, and she didnt offer any sort of restitution just said she would leave a note for the manager. We will definitely not be staying at this Tru by Hilton again.

The breakfast left a lot to be desired, waffle machine out of order, the egg omelette type thing was so tough around the edges, scrambled eggs were watered down as well as the oatmeal, the orange juice was great as well as the yogurt & cereal. The woman really worked hard keeping everything stocked.

The staff were great, but sometimes they seemed understaffed. For example, the breakfast area and cleaning staff. The breakfast was good. They would just run out of food and I would have to wait for more to be put out. The location between the Rough Ryder ballpark for the College Baseball Classic and the mall was perfect. Lots of food options within walking distance. The room was clean, but sparsely furnished and had poor lighting. We were there 3 nights and the hallway carpet was a mess most of the time. The made service appeared to work hard, but someone else needed to be on vacuum detail. Overall, the bed was comfortable and clean. The location was great and it served its purpose well.

Good stay overall. Here were the issues- 1-breakfast bar was poorly stocked all three mornings we were there. Had to ask for more coffee, spoons and to refill the entree items.Never got any breakfast meat any day we were there. 2-poor hot water in the room 2 of 3 days. 3-front desk clerk playing guitar was a big perk.

Decent hotel, but the staff and service were just okay! Out of many items for the morning breakfast and the juice machine was out of order too. The staff also turned the lights off of those of us eating in the lobby, right at the 9:30 cutoff time. Many guests were still waiting in line for food and they began putting it away anyways. I think they may need some training on customer experience, but the hotel itself was cute and convenient.

Rooms were clean. Service at the front desk was very nice. The only recommendation that I can make is that free breakfast in the morning was very disappointing. One there wasn’t many options to choose from. Two food ran out by 8 o’clock. And then on Monday, and Sunday, it pretty much was no options to choose from which was extremely disappointing
